Having DDP fears....

Okay, we have our trip booked for June and hopefully will still be able to do it. We have DDP booked but now I am having fears. All of our ADRs are at restaurants that accept DDP, but how will we know what is and is not on the plan? I want to be able to tell DSS that he can order whatever he wants but I don't want him to pick something and then find out that it's not on the plan.

Most items at participating restaurants are included. Simplest solution: tell your server up front that you're using the Disney Dining Plan, and ask what's included.

We've never had a problem with somthing not on the dining plan. I wouldn't worry about it. I do remember one item not on the plan at Le Cellier and our waitress told us up front. I don't think there are many choices like that.

Rely on the server to tell you. IF you tell them you're on the ddp they will give you a brief overview of what is and isn't included. Keep in mind that just because one place does something, that doesn't mean the next place will do the same. For example, Coral Reef put glow cubes in our drinks, but other places did not. We have used the DDP 5 times now over the past 12 months and the servers get better and better at explaining it. My grandson has gone with us 3 out of 5 of those trips and he has not had any problem understanding how the plan works (he just turned 13).

We had no problems at all. Most of the servers ask if you have it and then offer suggestions, often volunteering information about what's included or what is not. Don't worry.

Same here! We tried it for the first time this past November and loved it! We were nervous too, but at every restaurant they asked if we were on the plan and would explain what was included, etc. Never had a problem with service either. It was excellent!
