We are planning a 2017 trip to the World and I'm having a hard time deciding when to go. Was all set on end of April/Early May but now I keep thinking about fall time, maybe middle of October? Any suggestions?

I am no help, you you sound EXACTLY like me! Was going to do last days April/first days of May, but keep debating October.

Good luck making a decision!

I'll let ya know after we come home next week :) Let's see it depends what you're after...in april/may you'll have flower and garden, crowd levels will depend on when you go...i know Easter is later in april this next year and then you've got memorial day end of May. But somewhere in between would prob be fine. Temp wise, earliest in April (missing spring break) that you can go will prob be best, should be warm but humidity not so bad.
October: you've got food and wine. Last October was crazy crowded according to the boards here and crowd calendar sites. More crowded then normal, so no clue if that's a trend or a one time thing. We actually had a mini trip starting Nov 1, crowds seemed to be tapering off then, didn't think it was too bad (except MK). Weather should be about the same temp wise, but humidity is higher in the fall. We've also had a trip beg of October this and last years (beg of nov) were very, very hot and humid.

Oh, price wise for rooms...very comparable.

I would prob lean toward spring if I could make it work. DH and i had gone specifically for F&W this past fall, we were underwhelmed. I think a lot of it was the heat, it was just hard to want to walk around and eat when it was 90 deg with 100% humidity. So we are excited to try F&G next week!!! We'll have our kids this time, but I think they'll like the topiaries and the play places.

At the end, do what appeals to you and your family...you can't go wrong, it's Disney!! :)

I would take May over October every single time - there's just no question. The weather in the spring is usually gorgeous and other than the 2 weeks surrounding Easter, the crowds are very manageable.

I haven't been in October but when I went this past November I decided I will never go during party season again, so September through December are out for me. The hours end up being so short during party season, although the decorations are cool. I love the spring in Florida. So I'd choose spring/early summer any day.

I went in October 2 years ago and swore never again. Epcot was crazy busy because of F&W and it was hotter than I expected. I went in May of last year during one of the Star Wars Weekends and it was so much nicer. The weather was nicer, the crowds not nearly as crazy busy. I usually go the week after Thanksgiving for my birthday which I love and this year I'm going in May again. The weather is about the same, but the guests one encounters at Epcot during F&W were much more difficult to handle. Not everyone handles alcohol as well.

As an adult, I've only ever gone in October, and the crowds have been manageable. As a bonus, you get MNSSHP, so you can't go wrong!

I went in Oct a few years ago and probably before the wine and food festival was huge....But I loved it. I can't wait to go back in Oct. I have been in the spring too when the flower show is going on and that was fun as well. Both have advantages and disadvantages. I think it depends on what your needs and wants are. I love how epcot is decorated in the spring but love how MK is decorated in the fall.
