Channing - loved the pics of JoJo and her outfits. All very cute - I couldn't tell from the pic that the shirt is off-center. I am so glad I didn't see any of this before I took my nieces to the World last year - I would have gone broke! Enjoy your hair appt.

And as Marci said, would you believe North Texas is expecting more snow later today, into tomorrow? Crazy! We do still have some seasons here in the north part of the state (the south end where I grew up - not so much), but I don't recall it snowing in March since I've been here.

Love the further recaps of the Bare M stuff (and the comments about it's abbreviation). I am so lost just even reading about it. I assume it makes sense once you've seen it done. I need to go to the store.

Hi!! OK got my hair colored....now I am READY for vacation. Does anybody else just kind of have a secret panic attack while you're neck is bent backwards and your head is in that shampoo sink??? OMG>...I thought I was going to jump up screaming today....my neck went numb and I started to feel really agitated....I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder and my arm started tingling....it was ugly. I didn't think my neck could support my head when I sat up.

THEN....since I was lookin good I went to Ulta. Just the crummy one on 14. Well, you guys are so bad for me with this Bare M stuff. I dropped $90 on more. I bought the Prime Time - it is cool...it's a clear gel that you spray out and it is slick and soft to spread on and then just vanishes. I just put it on my wrist an dthought this stuff is good. I also bought a concealer brush, Well Rested, and a kit I think called Sun Kissed or something with a nice radiance thing and a pretty light fan brush. Then I got home and more QVC stuff came - just my three eye shadow set w/brush. Nice. I am still waiting on that 5 pc face kit with clear radiance and bisque etc. and the blush kit.

I did better today putting it on. Skipped the moisturizer. I think it made the powder kind of collect and stick too much. I did what Andrea and Kristin suggested and I think it's better. It is hard to see too much difference though....I want natural but improved.

I like my eyeshadows, but I didn't realize they were "glimmers" and kind of sparkly. (I have the qvc kit w/two pinkish and a sage and also bought hyacinth because I loved the violet gray shade) Can you guys suggest some that aren't glimmery? I have hazel eyes and almost bought "Meet the Plums" today because really I wear violets and grays and it makes the green really GREEN in my eyes....not sure if that kit is glimmery or not.

Kristin!! That is awesome about kindergarden registration! YOu will LOVE next year. I thought I'd be so sad when my "baby" wnet, but no way! I was in heaven!!! First grade is even better.

Lindsay - GREAT new thread title! Thanks for the nice comments...oh ya, I am going broke w/outfits. Now I can't afford my trip. I keep ordering more stuff for me, too. It's gotten out of hand. I don't know how to keep the luggage situation down at this point. I dream of being one of those travelers with the teensy weensy bag, looking so calm and collected and experienced. It'll never happen. We are the goofs schlepping huge bags & knocking down the posts w/the line ropes. THATS US. I saw your northern TX forecast!! I told Marci to be careful what she wishes for.

Today is kindergarden registration here.... I am looking forward to having my oldest out of the house for half a day to spend time with my youngest....

I am still waiting for my Bare M stuff to get here. You gals have gotten me so excited about it. I can't wait for it to get here! I just found out where they sell Bare M around here .... so once I play with it enough I may have to make sure all I need for the WDW. Have to look good for V+A.

Lindsay- I think you are reading my mind!!! I was going to suggest Having a Grand Time!! (Great minds, right?)

Well, you purse-aholics are a BAD influence once again. We went over to the mall to walk around (had to get out of this house!!! I want spring now!!!) and Macy's had the Dooney's on sale this week! I got a big brown bucket style (in the classic tone on tone DB print) for $130 I think it was $225 originally. Then I got a brown kind of wallet on a string sort of thing (not quite, but it had the long strap like that and is about the same size) for $60 (I think it was $85 originally). So I had to bribe DS with cars not to tell DH about more purses!!

Kindergarten registration is tomorrow for us! It is all day kindergarten here!! He gets on the bus at 8:45 and comes home around 4:15- I am looking forward to the quiet!! (although I am sure I will be sad the first day- for a minute or two )

Channing, let me know what you think of the prime time- I really should get some (need to wait for a new billing cycle on the credit card now since I have done WAY too much shopping this month ). As for less sparkly eye colors, I just stick with the beiges and corals. I have a couple of the glimmers (that are really sparkly) but don't wear them to often. I was thinking about adding Meet the Nuts to my collection- Meet the Plums is probably a little more matte than what you have now. As for not noticing the makeup- you probably aren't putting enough on yet. I do a couple of thin layers and I think that second "coat" makes all the difference!

Kelly- are you all packed???????? I am so jealous!! (Tomorrow my ticker turns to 8 months though I am such a dork about watching the months fall off!!) Have a terrific time!! We promise not to get into too much trouble while you are away

That is sad about Patrick Swayze...they were talking about it on GMA today, too....I didn't know the Steve? Jobs? or whatever his name is head of Apple also had it two yrs ago?? They "stopped" it. They mentioned that on GMA. So, maybe there's hope?? I know it is a dreadful cancer to get though.

Kristin, I'll let ya know how that Prime Time works out. I also later today received my blush trio. Very cool. I am almost set - I think I only have my face kit coming still. I have too much now and can't keep them straight once the lids are on. My face has so many layers of gunk on it at this point, haha....every time something new arrives I go to put it on. It seems so sheer, which is good, but like last night I asked my family if they notice anything different and they didn't. I felt like my face was caked with the base coverage though. Tomorrow I am going north to the Johnsburg Ulta to see what they have....OK, it seems like a sickness ....the weird thing is I don't know that its working?!?! It's almost like I have such hope so keep buying more! I don't know!!!! total dork here.

Ya, Tammy brings up a good point, haha....how am I gonna get all that Bare M stuff to WDW? I guess I need to decide WHAT to bring exactly.

Praline is still not around?! Wow. Poor thing. It will be like a dam burst when she finally gets her internet back.

I need some retail therapy. I wanted to have one of the small Disney weddings (Escape wedding for 18 or fewer guests) so that I would avoid all the drama and not become Bridezilla. Whatever. I have decided we will just spend our whole trip at the GF. We love it there and then we won't have to deal with the moving hassel. Besides, I know that the bad guests won't stay there . Now just have to convince BF that we need an RPC honeymmon room

Amy- that is awesome!!! I think staying there the whole time is a wonderful idea (you don't need the stress of a split stay during your wedding!!) Plus, if it separates you from the "difficult" guests- what a bonus!!!

(BTW- retail therapy ALWAYS makes me feel better!!! )

Me too. It's off center though. Can you believe it? I took it out of the box and I could SEE it is off. I measured and it's almost 1/2 inch off the center. Bummer. It is cute though. Maybe it's not so noticable on. I over resized my pics so that is why they turned out so dark and grainy. I just realized that so the next batch are better.

I hope Kelly is having a great time!

There was lots of snow in the DFW area, but we didn't get any until this morning. I was getting ready for work when Randy called me in to the bedroom. He had turned the outside big light on over our second story, and I could see some big fat flakes! Yeah! It didn't last long, but at least we got a few. I stayed at home an extra 20 minutes or so and decided to head on in. There weren't too many problems coming in my way, so that's good.

We had to cancel our ski trip yesterday (a number of reasons, the most pressing a government audit of our GSA contract at work) but rescheduled for a long weekend over my birthday in August at the Atlantis resort. I love that place! (Ok, not as much as WDW, but I still like it!)

I wear Trish McEvoy and MAC for makeup so I can't join in the Bare Minerals discussion but I love to get new makeup. Spring stuff has just come out and I'm going crazy over it!

I can't join in the Bare Minerals discussion either! I wear Bobbi Brown and she has all new stuff coming in now too. The weirdest thing is now my daughter comes to the counter with me. We are slowly introducing her to the right colors for her lips, eyes and blush. Very, very light!!

She was constantly putting makeup on and the colors were horrible. You know the kids makeup kits. So, I spoke to a representative at one of the counters and she said 11 is nice time to start. Especially with teaching them to keep there face clean. So she got a nice gentle face wash too!! Its just soooooo weird. Let me also explain my daughter is only 11 but she is 5'4" with beautiful white hair. So her colors really had to be right!

I used do makeup applications for brides and bridal parties years ago. I took a few classes and worked on the weekends. But everything changes so much so quick.

What happened with AI last night?? Any shakeups?? I saw the Australian guy and Brooke made it thru so I kind of stopped watching at that point. They are the only ones I really care too much about. The Davids are OK too. Something about this season has me kind of bleh. I used to be totally addicted to it. Same with my daughters. Just kind of eh.

Marci - yay! You got your snow! I heard northern TX got 7 inches? That seems like a lot. That is awesome about the Atlantis for your bday. I have never been but it looks fabulous. What fun!

Wishes Queen, my older DD is 11, too! Gosh...I am so not ready for her to wear makeup at all ....she is only in 6th grade. I was hoping to hold off til like 16 or 17 haha....I don't know....most of the girls around here dress so much like boys with the jeans/sweatshirts or baggy sweats & ponytails so I don't think makeup is a priority with them. I am thankful I still have girly girls but I am so not ready for the makeup stuff. DD11 has never shown any interest at all, but my trouble is with DD8. I had to worn her off my new Bare M stuff or I know she'd mess with it in the morning before school.

Kristin - I am going to give that Prime Time a try today. I just don't get the thing about the layers....on the DVD they just kind of zipped thru with one layer of base, then the warmth, mineral veil....made it look like zip zip and they're done and gorgeous. I am just not getting much difference/coverage I think....any tips? I might go to another ulta today so maybe I'll ask - depends....I got my hair colored yesterday so don't want to wash it yet so the color sets....so if my hair looks trashed I am staying home. Happy kindergarden registration!!! Hope your little guy is excited to go....I didn't realize you had all day kgarden! Wow. That is pretty cool. We don't have that here in CL.

A lot of children here in the private school system start going to an all-day program at 3! And it's not what you would think of as daycare for working parents, it's really like school and actually MOST of the moms do not work and spend their kids all day. Not passing judgement, just relaying what the norm is where I am.
DD went to a 2 morning a week program at 3 and then this year at 4, she is in pre-kindergarten all day, 5 days. (Her school switched from optional half day to mandatory full day AFTER I sent in my deposit.) She just turned 5 on Valentine's Day. It was tough at first, and I miss her, but I enjoy the freedom as well! I almost never have to drag her to stores with me anymore which is nice for both of us, I think.

Have a great day, everyone. We have a busy weekend with a school egg hunt, and 2 birthday parties. I just went to buy the gifts for the parties and I am depressed about what I spent ... The parties are for boys and I didn't have any boy gifts in my stash from the Target 75% off sale in Jan. Oops!

There were no major upsets on AI. Luke and Danny went home for the boys and Asia'h and Kady for the girls.

That snow is coming up to OH today... we are suppose to get 7-12 in...... so this will be the biggest snow we have gotten this season .....It makes long for Disney!!! Less than 4 weeks!

Channing, I know they make it look so easy on the DVD, but I don't buy for a second that is their "bare" skin. Like I said, I do it twice. I feel I get much better coverage. I also don't just swirl it all in at once and get my whole face like they do. I swirl and do one part, swirl again and do a different part etc. Keep playing with it- it gets easier!! (I know I felt the first week that I wan't getting any coverage either but I just wasn't putting enough on)

DS is super excited for kindergarten!! This is his second year of preschool. He goes mornings three days per week for 2.5 hours and 1 day per week he stays an extra 2 hours for lunch etc. He has the long day today so mommy can get some things done!! I have a Loft gift card burning a whole in my pocket so I may head over there and see what is new for spring...

DS almost busted me on my purses last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He started to tell DH that he left his Blackhawks hat on the counter at Macy's and we had to go back to get it. But he stopped himself and said "I can't tell you where we were because it is a secret!" Since DH's birthday is in a few weeks he just assumed he was talking about that and let it go. So they are tucked away safely in my closet for now and I will pull them out later with the old "You don't remember this one? I've had it for awhile..."
