Hey all you lovely GF ladies.....I am back and although I don't need it here on this thread I am putting on my flame suit for my Poly review!! Why oh why didn't I listen to Channing???
First I will say that we went to YC from the 10-16 and had an amazing time! The room was great and we had a view of SAB and could see the fireworks at night. The lounge was wonderful this time. They seemed to have more evening choices with at least two hot items a night. Breakfast was good, too but I have NO will power and if you put a donut in front of me I have a real hard time saying no. I only made 3 ADRs before the trip (Chef Mickey was a must on DS's birthday) but the staff got me into every restaurant I wanted, including CRT for breakfast.

The kids did Sand Castle Club and LOVED it! They went back a second time because they liked it that much! I met Allison at 1900 and we had a nice chat! It is always fun to meet in person!

I loved our first week and wish we hadn't switched. On Friday, we moved to Poly in a MK view because CL wasn't available. At check-in they told me I was upgraded to CL but the room wasn't ready. Off we went for the day and returned around 4 and our room still wasn't ready. We went to the lounge and I wish someone had a video of my face!

It was a mad house. I may come off snooty but it certainly was not the lounges that I am used to! My husband described it as a house party. One woman caught my eye because she had a bathing suit on and sand all over her bottom and actually sat down in a chair

There was a group of people in the back that had the beers lined up and were belching out loud.

Finally our room was ready and we were assigned 2515. I knew right away that we didn't have a balcony being on the second floor but I was willing to sacrifice for the view. We got to the room and it was a lovely view of palm trees!

I went down to the desk and explained that although I was happy with the upgrade, a view of the castle was more important to me. (Esp after seeing the chaotic lounge) To make a long story short, a lovely CM asked if we wouldn't mind staying in that room tonight and they would move us to the 3rd floor tomorrow. Sure great until I found out we had to do the check out thing again and recheck in at 3. So from 11-3 I was room-less again. After we were in our new room, things got better but not like at GF or YC. THe view was dead on to the castle and I was excited to watch Wishes from the balcony until I found out the sound system was down so no music.

The rooms are redone but you can tell they are old. My DH's favorite was the silver strip around the doom. It looked so tacky. The pool was so crowded that you couldn't move and so we eventually started going to the quiet pool. We chose to eat at Ohana this time instead of Kona and although it was good, I like Kona better. The staff downstairs was nice and friendly and sent the kids stuffed animals and a card signed from the Fab 5. I did a load of laundry during an extended rain shower and it was done very quickly! It didn't take a full drying cycle to get them completely dry! I will also say that the food offerings were unbelievable! That bread in the AM is to die for and the ribs at night were sooo good. We ate most nights at the lounge because there was sooo much to eat. Sorry this is long winded but I have to get it off my chest! Channing from now on I will listen to you- no Poly!! It was just rubbing it in our face to see the GF everyday. It was calling my name.....
