Welll.....hello all! We had a horrid night last night. About 12:45 am the tornado sirens went off.
In NINE years that I have lived here I have never heard them..other than the Tuesday morning checks. It was sooo creepy...about 5 min before that I had dozed off, but the storm woke me...and i noticed we had no power. I just laid there and watched the lightning show and then heard the sirens and was like.... Lucy and Zack were both at friend's houses - less than 2 mi away & I was worried about them too...so i had to get Jojo to the basement in pitch black! DH was sluggish...I moved yelling teh whole time for him to WAKE UP! ugh.....then we got down there ( note to self....do not leave huge rubbermaid tubs in front of the basement door again...I had been cleaning the girls rooms and had them stacked there, sloppily of course, to be taken down) DH had to wrestle the huge fur ball to get her to come down. It was so creepy. I had no cell service til abouyt 45 min after the sirens. I had Minniesota's pics in my head. The storm blew by and I have no clue if thre was actually a tornado.
My nieghbor heard diff tales but nothign for sure. We just got our pwer back about an hr ago.
Vanessa, i have been thinking of you too with all this rain and storms....hope that planting gets DONE! Have a great weekend with your hubbie. Enjoy yourselves!!!
Annette, have a great graduation weekend!!! Bummer about the Disney package...maybe as Kristin said more is on the way!
If the celtics won I am sure Kelly is THRILLED!
Oh...yes.. the eyeore skirt and do me shoes....lovely. That is some classy styling. ...how about a tube top and a tangled sweater on top - that adds the "top drawer" effect. I will be GF READY
It looks gray and icky out again today...this weather sucks. Dawn & Kristin did you guys get anything ugly last night??
The cool thing was that after the worst and we came back up we sat in teh family room and outside we saw falling stars!! I have never seen them before...totally neat. Not worth the tornado thingy though.

Take care and good luck - I hope you don't have to deal with flooding yourself. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice/sunny here...sounds like we're getting what you had today. We were gray and rainy off and on today but the kids swam! They are desperate for summer!

...it was soo beautiful here in Chicago yesterday and now back to the same old thing...Is this Seattle???? We planned on going to the pool, but i guess scratch that idea!
