yeah well they were up in NH for his bday so they owe him as far as I am concerned. They should have taken him before his bday not waited a month after. ugh they annoy me sometimes.

My dad and step mom were the same way....sorry. I was thinking yours were awesome.

I don't talk to my dad or step anymore. They're nasty thoughtless ways just got too old. It's a shame and they live 20 minutes south of me...I mean literally down the road. But they pulled the same stuff for my kids bdays again and again....plus the fact that my dad is an alcoholic and I finally owned up to it and my step mom is a total enabler so I don't trust them w/my kids.

Hi gals! I am so stinkin busy getting ready for Mother's Day and work is horrid!! Isn't Mother's Day to be for me!!

Well guess what...Xmas came up with the inlaws and my MIL said it is o.k. with us if you leave before Xmas! Now if she just sticks to it but I am soooo excited! I am singin Deck the Halls today!

Channing~ My family is the same way. My mother left when I was just a little tot and I was raised by wicked step beast and my father. My father passed away in August. I have siblings but we are not that close. My dh's family makes up for it though. They are right under my feet every other moment. (guess I should not complain)

Hope Jojo is feeling better!!

Brook...I am desperate to just get to 24.9! I started at 42.x and If I can just get inot the 24's I will be happy and feel like I made it!!!

(Of course that is my story today, but talk to me when I get to 24.9 and I will be saying that 22 is the middle of normal and I need to get there. Then I'll want to be at 19...I am nothing if not fickle.)

Shelli - that's how us bargain hunters afford those expensive vacations - besides, who wants really nice clothes to get all sweaty in? I gave up trying to "look cute" at the parks a long time ago!

Vanessa - YAY! I'm sure you're relieved to have the cat out of the bag! I hope the mood doesn't change - good luck with all the Mother's Day prep! Sounds like you should get your own little celebration next weekend.

OMG I am 5'3 and a HALF too. I always have to add the half too. Don't you just get tired of having to hem all of your clothes? I have to take at least 2 inches off of everything.

Brook -- Thanks for the link. I needed to see the numbers to help me get motivated. I've come so far, but I also want to get in to a 6, or a loose 8, and that index helps. I bet I need 5 - 8 pounds to get there. Most of my 8s feel good, but I occasionally, depending on the brand, need a 10. There is nothing wrong with a 10 or higher*** I just want to get done to someplace that I rarely was in my younger years.

You people are way too fast for me... I can't keep up!

I worked this morning, went to the school to volunteer for Mayfest, then went back by the office and came home to work for the afternoon. Andrew had a game last night, so we were out late, then I just couldn't get to sleep until late. One of my admin's told me yesterday that her husband has taken a job in California...and I like her a lot. She does a good job, and I'll miss her terribly. There goes my plan to start back to working from home a couple of days a week...

I best get back to work. Jake has a game (and a half from a suspended game due to lightening) tonight, and the weekend is full of sports and parties.

Kristen, we went to dinner at a plce called 54th Street Grill tonight and were seated in a back corner booth. I was facing the wall, and there was a big picture of The Captain over Bf's Head . I thought how happy you would have been to have that view!

Let's just say that for me, 30 had come and gone in 1987! In fact, I think that was the year of my 15th class reunion! Yikes! And I still have an 8th grader. Keepin' me young...

Thats why I tell mrs.mike we need to keep having kids...once they grow up we'll feel too old....This way we don't feel it..or really don't have to feel it
