How nice to catch up with guys so quickly, I haven't been on and I was dreading the time I was going to need to catch up!!!

I am so excited for everyone going to WDW!!! Please come back with lots of pictures!!!!

Good afternoon and Happy Mother's Day~

I have just ret'd from a few nights at the GF and it was absolutely lovely. We were upgraded from GV to MK view (I noticed this on-line the day we left home) and it was a lovely treat. Not only that but it was a corner room with two balconies and a little extra square footage. These rooms are AWESOME!

I apologize but I completely, completely forgot about the pics of the marina/boat rental pricing (but I do know that the little Sea Raycers are $30 for 30 min. and I used my AP to get 15% off thanks to Lives4Disney's tip ) and also of the Narcoossee's menu (we ended up having a late dinner at Citrico's instead). Total blunder on my part Sorry!

Here is a pic of our room in Big Pine Key (my first time in that building! I've now stayed in each of the bldg.s at least once)

We had a great time and the resort looked wonderful. Very nice CMs everywhere we went. The parks were CROWDED. Great meals at Kona (b'fast), Garden View Tea, Citrico's, GF Cafe (lunch)...

Lobby looked great - nothing going on with floor while we were there. Still carpeted.

Only thing getting me through re-entry is that DD and DH and I are returning for a week this summer. Might try and move from Poly CL to GF. DD actually wants to try the Contemporary and then end our stay at the GF

I always forget to take the requested pics when I'm there!! my brain just goes on vacation..

YOu really lucked out!! Glad it was a fun time. Neat pics of the triathalon, too.

How did it work out with the AP marina discount? Did the CM know about it?? I had asked once before renting a pontoon and they looked at me like I had rocks in my head so I dropped it because I wasn't 100% positive anyway...but I just read it again recently so that's why I KNEW this time around.

Johnsonet- Glad you had a great stay and enjoyed a MK view upgrade! I love Big Pine- our fav outer building!
We have used the AP disct. for the Searaycers and will be definitely using it again next month!
You've gotten me very psyched for our trip! I'm so ready for school to be out for the kids!

I know! I was jumping up and down when we got to our room and I went out on the balcony and saw the Castle!! My friend was laughing at my enthusiasm

The Cafe was great - a wonderful oasis after a morning at the MK My dd had the New York Strip and I had a glass of wine and the Rustic Chicken sandwich. Yummy. We both had dessert too.

Happy Mother's Day, all.

I just have to have to HAVE to get back to the GF sometime within the next year. It seems our December trip is not going to happen, and I am HOPING for early Feb. DD will be in kindergarten, and I feel I can still pull her out of school for a week.
Worst part is, I found out today that my brother and sis-in-law are going to Disney over Thanksgiving with HER brother and family. They didn't ask DD and I to go with them and I feel sad for my DD because she would absolutely love to go with her "big cousins" ... Our trips are taken with my parents (I'm a single mom.) and while they are fun, My parents asked them to come on our past two trips and sis-in-law claimed her kids (10 and 12 at the time) are over Disney because they went one or twice a year for 7 years in a row ... and now THEY are going with her side of the family. They are staying at a mod, and my parents had offered to pay for GF for them to have gone with us. I am just more bummed now that I want to go back and we have been discussing it and then it was like, "Oh, by the way, WE are going at Thanksgiving, but not with YOU!
Disney is so darn addictive, never mind the fact that I am GF RPC spoiled now and my mom actually said she would rather stay home than stay at another resort!!!

johnsonet- What a great upgrade! Loved your pics. I've stayed in every building with the exception of SL. Guess that means I'm a GF junkie too!

arbonette- I'm also having GF fever! My brother and his family are going in Oct. and I want to be there so bad. It's there first trip and I really think they might need me to help them find the castle.

Andrea, that is tough. Family can be tricky. I am sorry they are leaving you out of their plans. Just think, though, you wouldn't want to stay at a dumb ol' mod. So there. I hope you get to the GF. Maybe just a long weekend for you and your daughter? my girls and I have the most fun when we go just US and NO EXTRA BAGGAGE.

Channing, you are right. I would prefer not to stay at a mod ... (No offense to anyone!!!) I am going to try to do a DD and me trip when she gets a bit older, maybe about 7. As for now, I am looking to go in Feb. with DD, my parents and sister.
Has anyone tried (and liked) the Boardwalk ... I always wanted to try there before doing the GF, and never did. Thinking it may be better for us since we will have to get two rooms if my sis joins us, and two RPC rooms is a bit even during value. It's worth it to us, but still ...... I have never even been to the Boardwalk area!
