Morning ladies and M! We have a play date and I am not looking forward to it! :confused3 Wednesdays are so busy fro us so today will be rush rush rush! :scared:

Have a great day!

PS: Friday our passes are good again! Whoo Hoo! I see a field trip in our near future, :)

OK, here is the key to Fantasyland. You must go there as soon as the park opens (or better yet on an AM EMH).

First ride Dumbo, then Peter Pan, then Winnie the Pooh. From there we back track to the rest (Snow White, Small World, Carrousel, Tea Cups) We save Philharmagic for later in the day when we need the A/C! Also, we park the stroller at Philharmagic and leave it until we exit Fantasyland rather than move it from place to place.

We did exactly as Kristen recommended, with minor changes and had Fantasyland practically to ourselves. Only downside was my DS4 couldn't understand why at 1pm he couldn't just walk on to Peter Pan the way he did at 9am :rotfl2:

I parked my stroller by the Pooh Playground, I found it more convenient for us. (Thanks to Kristen and Mandy for telling me to park there!). We road Peter Pan and Small World over and over and over. Then Dumbo, tea cups and pooh. The boys didn't care for Philharmagic, I liked the a/c break.:) The only line we waited on was at the Main St. Bakery at 10:30 am! 20 min wait for our French Toast loaf! But the boys behaved surprisingly well, I guess they were hungry!:rotfl:

We did this several days during our ten day vacation - our early morning MK run and it was really really worth it!:thumbsup2 Oh, I did this alone while DH went to do other things (segway tour,etc..) it was really easy.

So HELLO everyone! :flower3:

It's freezing here in the country!!! This morning was 50 degrees!!! DS4 has camp at the lake today. They've been canceling beach day due to the weather but since the sun is out and they're predicting a high of 77, they're having their swim lesson. Thankfully the pool is heated, but the lake isn't!

So Sunday evening we went to Walmart and DS4 spotted the Camp Rock CD. He actually said "look mom, the Camp Rock Soundtrack" Disney channel really has a way of brainwashing him!!! "Soundtrack" that's a new one!! :rotfl2: So of course we had to buy it. He's been singing We Rock all week! And know one can sing with him, he has to sing it! This is his first summer in camp and I really believe he thinks he's at Camp Rock :rotfl: My DH said on the phone Sunday night, have fun at camp tomorrow and DS4 said "with Demi Lovato?" :rotfl2: This is all too much for me at four years old!!!

Oh, my current perfume is Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. I love it for summer, it's so light. For winter I wear Burberry Plaid. :)

Speak to you all soon. Cable guy's coming 8/25 - I'll finally have real internet service. This dial up is a nightmare!!

For everyone going to WDW soon, have a fantastic time!

Mare

Morning all!! I dragged my lazy butt out of bed at 9 today. Kids still sleeping....I made them go to bed at 11 last night though. I am still on a funky schedule and was up til 1:30.

I am MAD:mad: .....DH and I ordered some retro posters at teh Main St Gallery thru taht "Art on Demand" machine and then paid at the register. It said 2 to 3 wk delivery....well....this was probably about July 10 and of course we have received NOTHING. AND in all that 400lbs of crap we lugged b/f to WDW the receipt is GONE. GONE. I had it and now it's misplaced. I don't think I will ever see those posters.:headache: I am mad and bummed. THose were our bday gifts to eachother.:sad2: I forgot all about them til of course lying in bed with a wondering mind.....

Dawn!!
OMG....3 days??? I thought we had time to go out for lunch. Wow!!!! That is exciting and I bet a little scary. You will be awesome!!! :wizard: The ids will love you. What grade??? I am excited for you!!!!:thumbsup2

Kel that sucks about the AP rates.

Mandy!
YAY!!! Sounds like a fabu field trip to me.:goodvibes

Mare,
Hi!:flower3:

Lesley.
..I hope you are packing!!!!:goodvibes

We do Fantasyland after dark. We have luck then because we are poops in the morning......(see above:rotfl: ) That's our "strategy".....we are lazy. WE have had luck that way...walk ons excetp Peter Pan. We get FP earlier in the day for that one. I LOVE that ride but there is always a mega line. We had luck late with everything else being low lines or walk ons.

LOL...thinking about the Haunted Mansion..LOVE THAT too....Jojo saw a "Hidden Mickey" in the graveyard scene. Toward the end on the right there is a ghost that looks like the grim reaper standing up and he has a Mickey...I glimpsed it ONCE when riding w/her and she pointed it out. I need to ask her again where/what details. She has the eyes of a fox.:rotfl:

Well....happy Wednesday...seems like only yesterday it was a crummy MOnday..time is flying til school starts 2 wks from today for us. :scared1:

Talk to ya later,
Chan

Channing - I hope everything works out, I am sure that the posters will still come, there probably just really late!!! I bet there is a way they could still look up your order!!!!

Dawn - I was wondering the same thing, what grade!! Your going to do great!!!

Hi Gals....omg i am pooped..the big push is on at school right now only 3 days left until Student Teaching! I am burning the candle at both ends right now...ugh!:faint: We are back to school on the 25th...i havent even thought of school stuff for the boys..good thing they are older and those supply lists are gone!

I stayed up too long last night doing homework and watching Olympics...gymnastics and swimming has been amazing!

My fav perfumes: Pleasures, Spring Fever (Origins) and White Linen Breeze

later gals :flower3: Dawn

OMG...Shel and Kel you are getting close to vacay time! Lucky! Plus our new gals Here Comes The Sun and BlueSkies.....OH and i didnt forget our token male M&P!

Ugh! I know what you mean about running around before school starts - mine start next week and we are all dreading it - especially getting up early!
Looking forward to hearing about your first day of student teaching - you'll be great!:)

I admire all you early morning MK people! We are able to sleep in a little now that the kids are older and we do the MK at night too, Channing. I love it at night! We do always get a FP for Peter Pan - the line for that darn ride is always so long - even late at night!

/
Good afternoon GF gals & M&P! Hope everyone is having a nice day....

with just one wk to go asked everyone to please start packing, don't want to have to do any last minute:laundy: ( nice thought) so far no luck all suit cases are empty except for mine, and DH's, only because I'm HELPING him pack:rotfl: I read somewhere about people carrying little fan type water misters to keep cool...anyone ever try these , is it worth while or just a pain to carry around???
when everyone gets sick of carrying stuff you know who gets the priviledge:rotfl:

Channing if you purchased your posters on a cc maybe you can call the cc company and get a print out of your transactions for the day-not sure-maybe that would help...
Hopefully they'll arrive soon...

Thanks! I am going to wait another week.....I just don't want to have to DEAL with it KWIM? I know I had that receipt...I saw it when I unpacked...and now...forget it. I will deal with it if I have to but maybe they are just SLOWwwww. :confused3 Its one of those things that pops into my head once in a while and I wonder about WHERE ARE THEY?:rotfl:

We have several of the Disney fan/misters....they are a mega rip off...I think they are about $20 each....but we are suckers and bought them. :rolleyes1 I think we have 5 at this point because so often we think we don't want to lug it around LOL and then decide we need it and wind up buying another:lmao: .... Once when the kids were young we left ours hanging on the stroller and went on Spaceship Earth only to come out and find that some doof stole the batteries out of it. They are GREAT when it's hot but you need batteries. They do work & make a big difference. :thumbsup2 Bring lots of AAs!:rotfl:

happy packing!

Channing :)

OK, I must defend myself before ya'll think I am an early riser!! :rotfl: So NOT the case!!!

We always start our first "full day" at WDW at MK. We get an 8:05am at CP so we can be at Fantasyland at 9am to ride thsoe rides. This is virtually the only day of the trip that we get up early!! :goodvibes

We adore the MK at night (which is why it bums be beyond belief that the MK is only open late a couple of nights on our December trip). Even DS has been staying at the MK until midnight or later since he was 2. It like even he knows what an extra special treat that is! :thumbsup2

Anyway, since we stay out so stinking late, we don't get up earlier than 9am for the rest of the trip (except maybe DHS day since we like to get a lot of that stuff out of the way early too. Which means I always have to plan our big DHS day on a day after we haven't been to MK super late, KWIM?)

But I do stand firm on my stance that Dumbo, Peter Pan and Pooh are to be ridden before 9:30 am to avoid waits. We can get through all of Fantasyland by 10am (sans Philharmagic) if we get there at 9am.

Chan- the STINKS about those pictures!!!!!! I would give it another few days before calling, but someone has to be able to look it up without the receipt (especially if you can give the date and items ordered)

We are off to Kohls. There was a tiny tear in my 600 thread count sheets last night and this AM it is a BIG HOLE!!!!!!!!!!! I think the dog was trying to burrow in it or something :sad2: Anyway, I have a 20% coupon that starts today so I might as well get new ones (too soon to put the flannel sheets on!!)

Take Care!
Kristin

You're right abotu MK early!!! I was there ONCE!:rotfl: :rotfl:

HEy!! We are going to Kohls, too!!!! I don't have any coupon!!! Where'd ya get it?!?!?!?!?!?!popcorn:: I could use one too!!!!!

We did no back to school shopping yesterday....we bought the ballet slippers and went out to lunch. LOL...called it a day. LAZY & SO not in teh mood.....

I need to at least get the girls new tennies and maybe make it to Target for supplies. DREADING IT.....

That happened to my sheets too!!! Suddenly a mega tear...I have a 21 inch thick pillowtop and can't find sheets anywhere but L&T....and they are like $160 for a set. :headache:

Chan

I have nothing to add about how to do MK b/c Kristin and others have mapped out the best plan!

I do wand to add that Toontown does not open till 10 and if you get there early you can get on the Barnstormer with Goofy! I know Kelly did this and we have it on our to do list for our next visit to the MK! I think you have to line up pretty early though like pretty much at 9!

I am such a brat for nice sheets! :rotfl: All my kids sleep on at least 400 and I sleep on a 800 :cloud9: . My parents give us a new set every Christmas, they have some ridiculously high ones like 1200.:scared1: I get my kids from a outlet in Eleton that has the flawed sheets so much cheaper, like RL :thumbsup2 My MIL gave my kids some cute sheets for their beds with characters they like and they don't like them cause they are too "scratchy". I feel bad and keep the pillows cases on a pillow and make their beds so she thinks the sheets are being used. My husband said he had never heard of thread counts till he met me and his parents don't either. We gave them nice sheets last Christmas and his dad told him "those are the smoothest sheets I ever layed in" LOL! They love em and are getting more this year!

Mandy... I mean your highness.... wow, so I am mingling with sheet royalty?? LOL! :goodvibes

Just kidding! I LOVE FLANNEL SHEETS! I use them all year round and adjust my comforter/cotton blanket accordingly. Nothing is as soft as flannel, or at least that I've tried! LOL!

Chan, packing? No way, no how!!!! I am way too disorganized! :sad2:

What!?!?!

Ok now that i have my tiara on....... princess:

I am not snotty at all and it may seem like that from my post but i am not! My dad loves nice sheets and gives them all the time, and i have just inherited the obsession  When i was a kid I loved those tee shirt sheets (are those still around?) I have always just had nice sheets and not bought many for myself (well except the kids, which is a problem b/c the higher tc don't come in fun colors) If i had to buy the sheet for my bed, well lets just say i would be hungry! Overstock dot com has some good deals!

Seriously flannel? This is FLA baby, we don't do flannel EVER! I am getting sweaty thinking about it! :scared: 800 tc sateen all the way!

OK, so I ended up with only 300 thread count sateen :faint: I had a set of 800 Egyptian Cotton (but the color was off) and it honestly didn't feel any softer than the 300 :confused3 So I decided to save the $60 and get the 300 (besides, they match my duvet perfectly!!!!)

I never knew anything about sheets etc until a few years ago (I just got what matched!!) Then I got those 600 thread count and I was in heaven :cloud9: They were so soft (not crunchy like the standard 200 or 240). But this is my second set in 3 years so I guess the higher the count, the easier they rip :confused3

Chan- I did the school shopping Monday- WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!! It was crowded, they were out of half my stuff so I had to go to Walmart too. Then I got home and realized I got the wrong size glue sticks and the wrong tip on the dry erase markers  Everything is now exchanged and we are all set, but it was WAY more of a project than it should have been. I had a heck of time trying to find the right headphones for computer lab (ended up with ear buds- I hope he wears them!!) :headache: See... now I am getting all mad recounting it again!!! When do your girls start school again? I think it is before us... we may need to go to breakfast on DS's first day- something tells me it is going to be harder on Mommy than him!!

Mandy-
thanks for the high praises for my MK touring :worship: especially coming from a theme park guru like you!! I used to get all obsessive about touring plans etc but now I just stick with what has worked in the past and go with it. We don't even need park maps anymore (even DS can tell us how to get places at MK!!) It is fun to watch all the noobs on the TPA forum get all panicked about it....I am sure that was me back in 2005 when we planned DS's first trip, but not any more. I just dish out my advice with a smile :goodvibes and people can choose to take it or leave it- no hard feelings, KWIM?

How are all our August trippers doing?? Excited? Packed?

Was anyone able to use the new AP rates today? Kel checked for me, but only the BC had availability. I am not about to give up my GF!!! But we might consider it next year instead of the CR... I know DS really wants to stay there, but the thought of the CR at Christmastime doesn't do it for me... Maybe if we get a fabulous code we can ditch the CR and stay somewhere else (like the GF again :rolleyes1 )

Wow! I am chatty today!! Too much Diet Coke I guess!!!:lmao:

Kristin

I am just kidding.... I don't know a thing about thread count! :goodvibes

But I will have you know I bought my favorite flannel sheets at the BJs in LAKE MARY!!!!! heehee! true story!

I don't know much about thread count....I hate scratchy sheets though:headache: ....I hate flannel too because I like the sheets to feel COOL. :goodvibes Somebody at a home good store told me it isn't all about thread count, but I can't remember WHAT else it is..LOL....the ones i have now are 400 and THEY ARE WONDERFUL..soft, silky and they have a sheen. :cloud9: I was disappointed I couldn't get higher because the ones that tore were....There are other factors though that make the sheets nice besides thread count. Gonna have to look that up. I remember Oprah's car trip..(Now we are talking PRINCESS here) she had to have her OWN sheets...she couldn't sleep on the plain old hotel sheets. :rolleyes1 Prima donna. ....

Kristin
, we go back...Zack starts the 25th and the girls 27th. YES, we should do bfast! That would be fun.:goodvibes When does DS go back?? It might be tough at first...maybe a week or two and then you will be rockin and wondering HOW DID I EVER SURVIVE UNTIL NOW?!?!?! You will just LOVE it!!! Especially you with your Martha tendencies.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: You can create!

We just got back from Kohls and Target. Kohls was a disaster. Lucy picked out the first pair of tennies she tried on because Jojo had such issues with finding shoes we were at the end of our ropes. There was a choice of NOTHING or NOTHING for JO....she got some Nike pink/silver/white gymies and they are bleh IMO. When did gym shoes for little girls get so fricken ugly? We used to have so many to choose from it was tough. I am going to order cute ones from Zappos but she needed some to keep in her locker for gym. Lucy same thing. We had some luck at Target but it was ANNOYING. I hate bts shopping. The teachers ask for the moon. I KNOW there is some mega huge stash of paper towels and tissues somewhere buried under the school. Everyyear the ask for more and more and how much paper products can one class use? LOL....

Lesley,
omg...I didn't see your counter but I have a feeling you leave soon!! Hopefully you have started. I bet you're getting excited. Take tons of pics....i want to see that suite. :goodvibes Did you get the dining you wanted?? I hope your little guy gets to go to CP!:)

Just call me Martha!! :snooty: He starts either the 26th or the 27th (soft start kindergarten here so I don't know what day he got yet). Although I just read that the teachers filed the paperwork to strike if the contract issue isn't worked out :faint: I will let you know which day he got next week so we can co-ordinate :goodvibes

Seriously!!!! ITA!!! I almost died when I saw the list (AL foil, paper towels, dry erase markers, ziplocs, construction paper, glitter!!!) When did the district stop giving supplies to teachers!! :confused3

I am sooooooo excited! I feel like last time we were total newbies and had no idea what we were doing. Now I think we can relax more and take our time doing things! We didn't get CP, which I'm sad about but got mostly everything else! I am still hoping for a CP cancellation. He keeps asking about it so I'll have some explaining to do if we can't go :rolleyes1
