Welcome Back Gals! It sounds like you had a great trip!!!
Thanks to everyone who is taking the time to read my TR! I am more motivated to write it when I know people are actually reading
I did a lot of multiquoting here (more than I thought, LOL, so I may answer some people twice. They are just in the order that I read them. I am too lazy to cut and paste this morning
Mare: We really liked the tour. Ours lasted about 5 hours. We did three rides, though our guide said they don't always do Pirates, it depends how many questions they get and how busy the parks are. I was glad we got to, though. Lunch is now included in the price of the tour (I think we paid 40-50 pp, not certain of the top of my head). Walt's name faces the castle, I think over the ice cream shop or nearby (I get all the MS buildings confused, sorry). Walt's is the ONLY name facing the castle, though
Brook: I really enjoyed the KTTK Tour and was glad that we did that one. I guess saying I would have rather done BS Magic was not quite the right thing, maybe I would like to do BS Magic in addition would be a better way of putting it. I think KTTK is probably the more "magical" of the two, if that makes sense, but DH and I are fascinated by how they make WDW as a whole run and BS Magic sounds like it goes into more in depth back stage things. I would love to see things like central shops and costuming, etc. I agree with you about backstage in general, though. When we did our bridal portrait shoots in AK and World Showcase we went through backstage and the show certaintly stops back there. I told DH I couldn't believe how cruddy looking especially EPCOT was back there
Blue: When we booked, it was 90 days out and payment is due immediatly, though it was refundable if you cancel within 48 hours. AAA, APs, DVC, and Disney Visa are elgible for discounts. My best discount was with the Disney Visa, but you have to use it to pay in order to get the discount. They do three tours with about 20 per tour most mornings, and we had no problems getting a spot at less than two months out. Our guide was very, very good. You could tell he had been with the company a long time (even before he said so) and that he truly loved and cared about what he did. It made for a great tour!
Oh, and I have been home for a week and have done my laundry from the trip. Everything else is still in the suitcases
Okay then I will be the lone voice of dissent.
We ate here one night (walk-up) because we heard it was good. It was okay at best, for the most part. Bread and butter were yummy, DHs salad was okay. DH had some sort of pork chops. He said they were alright, but they used some sort of apple butter or reduction which he said overpowered the whole thing and all he could taste was apple. I had the chicken pot pie. Again, okay but it had a really odd almost gamey taste
. The desserts and service were wonderful though and we got a free champagne toast for our HM. So I guess it's not a bad review. Would we go back...I doubt it. 2 iced teas, 1 salad, 2 entrees, 1 dessert + tip = about $100. I don't mind that if it's good, but for the meal we had the price was way out of line, if that makes sense...
How scary! Glad everyone made it through okay!
I didn't know they had waterpark EMHs. I assume just during the summer? How cool!

Brook: I took the KTTK tour many many years ago. It sounds like it's improved greatly since then. Back when I took it, we only went on one ride, HM. Lunch was at Peco Bills (not included, OOP). We still enjoyed it, but it sounds like you get to ride a lot more rides now. It's a six hour tour....
Amy: I'm reading your TR too! I just got all the Field Guides for Xmas. Where exactly is Walt's name on the Main St. I can't tell from your picture. Is he down by the Ice Cream Shop? I can't remember?

Okay Amy, you said you would have rathered done the backstage magic tour than the KTTK tour... why?
As I said, I am looking at a whole day to myself and always thought the KTTK would be so cool to do.. I never heard of the backstage magic tour so curious as to what it was.
Do you get on rides like the KTTK?
The podcast wasn't working but I read his review just now. I think I am sticking with the KTTK tour. Don't get me wrong the magic tour sounds great if your a Disney nut .. but the sewing and Christmas storehouse just isn't my cup of tea.
I much rather hear and see the behind the scene stuff of the rides.
With our VIP guide I did go backstage several times at Epcot and DHS as we parked backstage (MK there was no need to go backstage)
To be honest... its not much to look at![]()
its blah, bleak office buildings and office trailers.
I think KTTK would be more fun for me![]()

I'm sold!! Guess I'm going to be adding KTTK to my ADR/reservation list....How far in advance does this have to be booked?? Let me guess 90 days...that seems to be the magic number these days...![]()
So excited about that KTTK tour...really looking foward to it...
Amy I hope we get the same tour guide as you had....he sounds awesome!
Kelly I'm not surprised that you are already unpacked!! I got home the day before you and my suitcase is untouched...:rotfl: its my goal for later...

Check out the Wave at the CR....
I have yet to hear one bad review about it....

Some guy had a heart attack on my plane- I thought we were going to have to land in North Carolina to evacuate him...but they got him stabilized and kept moving to Maine...SCARY!!!![]()

I just wish the extra hours would be released already. We're now thinking of adding an evening at the water parks. I heard on a podcast that the evenings are EMPTY! My son has never been in the pool at night, we just never gotten around to it. He would LOVE going to the water park after dark!
