Channing I was watching the show Balancing Act yesterday and they were talking about menopause....a product they were talking about is called Me Again...looks interesting natural ingredients...they have a website too..

Interesting....I am not there yet...but I am feeling MEGA mood swings and weird other things....:rotfl: I am going to have to rewatch Oprah at 11 tonight.....wasn't Suzanne Sommers on the bio identical hormones and she LOVES them..???

Imagine if men had to deal with hot flashes!!!:rotfl:

There would have been a medicine on the drugstore shelf to cure them 20 years ago.

I now have the Cape May breakfast buffet on my list...we used to love Chef Mickeys we have moved past all of that singing and napkin swinging!!! I thought we have to have one character breakfast on the list....no character dinners though...DH would be complaining big time....

I KNOW...it's almost kinda sad when you realize you've moved past Chef Mickey's...:rotfl: We are basically done with characters and character meals. But we have always enjoyed Cape May....hopefully you will too...Kristin's experience wasn't so great though.:guilty: I just think they are cutting back everything from food to characters to service....and that leads to problems.

CHan
GF GAL all the WAY!:cool1:

No more Cape May for us :sad2: Those girls out to be ashamed of themselves seating people 30 minutes late and at the same empty tables that were there when we arrived

Maybe if we were staying there, we would try it again, but it is just to hard to get there (I like direct stops, not transfers! :rotfl: )

Mare Please the kids or the husband...:rotfl: thats a tough one!!! good luck...

Channing It is kind of sad to be past the character meals...new doors open though...kind of nice to sit in a signature restaurant not worrying about who will spill a drink or not like whats on the menu....or have to go to the potty 5 times!!!:rotfl:

No matter what though Disney is still our favorite family vacation spot...its great that there is so much to do for all ages....thats whta i keep reminding DH every time I book the next trip....;)

Strangest thing :confused3 Comcast is here saying there is a "leak" in service coming from our house. They have disconnected my cable as they work on it from the outside, but may need to come check from the inside if it doesn't work....

Kristin You are making me worry....did you travel there from the GF...maybe we should take a taxi...and...DH and DSs hate waiting too long when it comes to dining...(well who likes to wait..but DD and I do much better than they do) waiting for rides everyone is ok but when theyre hungry....

Tell me more....was the food good atleast:confused3

As for the cable guys...I'd call the main office number and ask if they are supposed to be there...

I hate Comcast....

So does that mean somebody is picking up your signal?? :confused3

Weren't you guys getting somebody else's at one point??:rotfl2:

We have Comcast for internet, phone and cable.....I don't know why.:rotfl:

Chan
Avid View watchin' GF GAL!:thumbsup2

OK, I am alive. :rotfl: They really were Comcast guys and not robbers! (I made them show their badges and stayed on the phone with DH while they were here)

Apparantly there was a "leak" coming from a bad cord in our house. It was sending out interference and the FCC picked up on it :faint: It was a bad cord connecting a TV to the wall in our home office. It was funny to see them walking around in my basement with this device looking for the leask (think of Poltergeist where the ghost hunters are walking around with their device!! :rotfl2: ) It was easily fixed. But while they were here I mentioned the crappy service we get in the playroom so they came up and fixed that too and gave me a new remote for that TV since mine was old and barely worked! :thumbsup2

Blue, to get to Cape May, we took the monorail to MK and the bus to the Beach Club, so not horrible to get to, but not the most convenient. The food was fine, but the characters were rushed and the dirty plates stacked up on the table at times too (which was strange for a half empty restaurant). I am in no hurry to get back (the food at 1900 PF breakfast was just as good and a heck of a lot easier of a commute ;) )

Good Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been MIA since I got that "The Other Boleyn Girl" book. I am addicted to it!!!!!! It is quite different than the movie (better)

QUOTE]

The book is so much better than the US or BBC versions of the movie!:thumbsup2 Have you read all of the other Tudor/historical books by her? If you liked that one the others will suck you in too! "The Boleyn Inheritance" was espically good!

All this talk about food.....Where is the best place to get filet mignon in Disney?

Hey Gals....I'm back from running errands and should do some laundry.......but......gotta check in here first....:rotfl: :rotfl:

BlueSkies......I think you'll like Cape May......we've always had good experiences there :goodvibes.....we really like the atmosphere of the BC too :). But I know Kristin didn't have the best time when they went :sad2:. I think I'd be a little ticked too if I had to wait 30 minutes to get seated at a table that had been empty for some time .

Chan........I like my prime rib rare but DH and my brother like it best when it's still mooing :rotfl: :rotfl:.

spacec47......Kona USED TO have one of the best filets....until they took it off the menu  . We are trying Yachtman's Steakhouse in June.....I hear that place is awesome :thumbsup2.

Deb :)

I LOVE the Mushroom Filet at Le Cellier! It is a must do for us on every trip. The filet at Cali Grill is good but I prefer the filet at Le Cellier. We have not tried Yachtsman yet but mabye in June! :)

hi gals....

first thing...Amy are you a Sadie Sadie Married Lady yet??:bride:

Kristin...glad you are alive....I loved that book! Im with Chan no other of her books though....I LOVE OLD SCHOOL TOO! i could watch it over and over!

We are still doing 1900 Park Faire just for the fun:upsidedow

Blue...im calling you BLUEDEB :thumbsup2 LOL!!!

Here is the scoop on the knee of dumdum....we have to see another specialist tomorrow....:hourglass

Blue...im calling you BLUEDEB :thumbsup2 LOL!!!

I was just thinking that! :rotfl2:

Did the surgeon say anything or comment on the knee?

BLUEDEB: I wouldn't go out of the way for Cape May Cafe. It was just okay. Nothing special. We only went since we were staying in the area.

Has anyone been to Boma for breakfast? This MickeyNicki chick raves about it. (Okay, I'm addicted to her food reviews :rotfl:) She's been there 4 times and says it's the best breakfast on WDW property. It looks good from her photos:

If I didn't have character crazy kids, I'd take a cab over to the AKL for it. I love breakfast! :goodvibes

Has anyone done the Whispering Canyon Cafe breakfast? That's been getting good reviews. I like how they offer the breakfast skillet, it's like a buffet but at your table.

Two places on my list for when the kids outgrow Chef Mickeys! :crazy2:

So went do our gazillionth Star Wars themed bday party over the weekend and DS has decided he wants that for his theme this year. We had been planning on a White Sox/Baseball themed party (I already have a few things picked up on clearance)

Should I let the force be with him and go Star Wars and save baseball till next year?? :confused3 Or should we stick with baseball as planned??

We are doing a small party at the house, mostly with family and neighborhood friends (6 kids total, 3 of which are girls). I don't want anything too elaborate since the big ta-da of the party is, of course, the revelation of the WDW trip a couple of days later. But at the same time, since we are heading down for Star Wars Weekend, a Star Wars party might be a fun tie in as well...

My DS4 changes his party themes all the time too. If I've bought everything for what we planned, then I let him have his new theme for his school party. They're only allowed cupcakes, so I pick up cupcake picks and have the bakery decorate the cupcakes with the theme. Everyones happy! :thumbsup2

I would do the Star Wars with Disney sprinkled in.... then see if they can guess the trip :)

Kristin.....I'd maybe go with the Star Wars theme this year since that ties in with your trip :goodvibes. I'm sure he'll always love baseball but Stars Wars might wear off as he gets older :confused3. But I'm sure the theme won't matter once he finds out he's going to Disney :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Dawn.....Keep us posted on DH's specialist visit :flower3:. We're sticking with 1900 Park Fare too.....we haven't been in a long time and I've been wanting to go back and what better time than when we're staying at the GF :goodvibes. I just hope it's good since some of my family will be there for the first time .

Deb :)

Hi Everyone:wave2: DH fell on the ice at work Monday. Last night very casually he told me his vision was blurry on the top half and ok on the bottom.:scared1: He said he has an eye appointment next week, and asked if he should try to get in sooner. Um ,YES YOU HAVE TO GO NOW. He went to the doctor today and he has a detached retina. They sent him to see a DR at Mass Eye and Ear and I am still waiting to hear from him. I don't know if they are going to admit him now or not.:confused3 I can't really go up there until I hear from him. I don't know if he is still at the DR office or the hospital. So I am going to catch up and hang out here while I wait.

Maxie86 - How scary. I hope everything is ok with your husband. Thank goodness you got him to go to the doctor and he didn't wait a week.

Deb - We tried the Yachtsman steakhouse in October and loved it. We went back again last week and it was another great meal. It will now be a must do on every trip.

Mare - We always do 1900 Park Fare for breakfast every trip on our last day. It is a good breakfast. I'm not a big buffet person but that one is pretty good. We always do the first seating that way we don't wait long to see the characters, the food is fresh and we are in and out and don't have to be sitting there waiting for characters and long done eating. Another plus is you can order adult drinks with breakfast.

Just catching up!

Maxie
...I hope your DH is OK....this happened to my step dad, also. He has been fine...but it seems like the retina is more delicate and comes detached again easier. I dont' remember how it happened to him originally, though. Sending good thoughts your way.

Kristin.
..go with the Star Wars theme...esp since he will be going to WDW and Star Wars weekend! Isn't the bday in June?? He might change his mind 10 more times until then though. We go thru that all the time.....

I always had great Cape May experiences...but I would not ever head over there in the morning from the GF. PITA. That is crummy that place has gone down hill sounds like. :sad2:

I BET AMY IS MARRIED!!!!! :cool1: I THOUGHT IT WAS TODAY!!! pixiedust: I hope it was wonderful....except I heard it's pretty COLD down there now....

TTYL!
Chan
GF GAL running kids around!!! Where's the BUS DRIVER when I need her!?!?!

Thanks ChrisHart and Chan. He just called and is on his way home. They are doing the surgery Mon or Tues, they will call him, and he will be coming home after. Then he has to lay face down for a week.:crazy2: That's gonna be hard. Hard to believe that it is day surgery now. At one time you would have been in the hospital for 2 weeks.

Kristin: Glad you are still alive. Leaking tv signals.:confused3 Never knew that could happen.

Chan: I hate Comcast too. We have verizon for internet and Comcast for cable. We are waiting for Verizon to finish installing Fios. They have it on our pole but haven't started hooking people up yet. Hoping it will be in the next couple of weeks.
