Ugh! Just got a two-pound box of See's Chocolates in the mail today. I really do not need this! I've had three pieces already and thoughts of spending days at the waterparks in June are on my mind!!! Couldn't they have sent a smaller box of chocolates???

Now it's a rain/snow mix outside. Still yucky!

Hey, I've been reading that ADR thread and people with the dining plans are getting angry. Many plan on canceling the dining plans if the ADRs don't open up on Jan 2. I can't blame them it is a hassle. Especially those traveling Easter week. That's the week everyone's concerned about. Not me, just fun reading along

My boys are waiting for cookies, I'm just not in the mood to do anything. It's just so dreary out.

Mare I guess if I was on the dining plan and wanted to make a ton of reservations it would make me a little crazy not to be able to But I find some of the best times on vacation are the unplanned ones...staying a little longer at the pool or eating later or earlier just because JMO...a 2lb box of chocolate..mmmm...I wuldnt be able to resist either

Shelli You are right a 15 yr old should be making his own pancakes...BUT who wants to clean up that mess!! My idea of a good breakfast in bed is a nice big cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and a store bought muffin....or even better room service for breakfast at the GF

Mandy, lol....I like your ICE discount idea.

Jojo LOVES a big breakfast...she eats her biggest meal at bfast so I do make her pancakes...Snoopy waffles, French toast...sausage or bacon...you name it...even home made smoothies when it's warm out....but she is my third one. I didn't do that for #1 or #2. Jojo is my baby.

You get a discount if you buy the tickets online, it is also cheaper to go on a weekday. If you go get there early. When we came out the line was very long. They only let so many in at a time.

Maxie:[/B] Thanks for the pictures. I've heard so much about Gaylord Palms on the podcast, it sounds beautiful. LOVE the restaurant in the boat! Cool! We used to rent a car and venture all over FL before the kids were born. Now needing carseats and not knowing if the rental ones are safe or have been in accidents , it's just easier to say put in WDW. Once their older, we'll explore FL again.

We just started to go off site again the last couple of years. Your day will come all too soon, kids grow up too fast. The Gaylord has some excellent restaurants. I had the best piece of swordfish that I ever had at Sunset Sam's, and I eat a lot of seafood.

It is snowing hard here now, we have a couple of inches already. It is also very windy, hope we don't lose power. There are still some people without power from last Friday's ice storm.

Hi guys- Just checking in from a friends house. No power since last night. I have been a basket case...as always. I have nothing packed or organized, work is crazy busy and I cannot even be home. I just want to cry. The guys from the electrical company just got out towards our house but cannot give us any time frame. They said as soon as they get something fixed something else goes wrong.

This was the night we were to go out and celebrate our anniversary but I guess not. If the next 10 years are anything like this I am in trouble.

I just want to get on that plane Tuesday!!!

My Xmas cards are not out yet either.

Mandy: I bet they offer discounts right after Christmas for ICE. Do they advertise anywhere locally with discount coupons?? If you search around, you might find something. I bet your kids would love it!

Blueskies: Breakfast at the GF is divine. I'm even happy with a Grand Breakfast Platter from Gaspies! One platter feeds the whole family! But room service is heavenly . I love how they set up the table with the table cloth and bring in the toaster. They make eggs seem so special

Maxie: I love seafood and how cool to dine on a boat in the middle of a resort!

So on the restaurant board they're all saying the food also went down hill at Whispering Canyon and that Ohanas is much better over all. I'm so confused! I don't want to go to WCC and get bad food and no antics at all. That would really (as Channing would say) be "Sucko". (I've never said that before ) We're already got Chef Mickey's for one night. I need another "fun" restaurant in that area for another night. Ohanas is easy to get to by monorail. I hate that LONG boat ride to the WL Ugh, what to do, what to do?? 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace are also on my list.

Thanks Mare. Dh just went out to pick up pizzas so I am still here. I just had a Mojito in a bottle and my eyes arout to go shut.

Okay, so someone recently got food poisoning from the skillet meal at WCC. I'm not going there! Ohana's out too. Read the menu and DH asked to skip it . So with some rearranging we're going to do breakfast at Tusker House (it was really good!) and do a CS for dinner (which in my family is unheard of ) I've read that Flame Tree BBQ is really good at AK? We've never lasted more than a few hours at AK, but this last trip my boys finally got into it. We usually avoid the park in the summer months as its always 10 degrees warmer due to the foliage but they asked to go back.

So, no WCC or Ohanas for us. Both have gone down hill so forget it.

I spent a good portion of my day figuring out our ADRS now I just need the EMH!!!!

Have you thought about dinner at 1900 Park Fare..I hear the wicked step sisters are a hoot!!!

On our next trip I'd like to go to Citricos,Cape May (the dinner), Le Cellier (tried this for the first time last trip-loved it) maybe Cali Grille...isnt there a buffet type dinner at Fort Wilderness...not HDD...I think it used to have a make your own pizza...I bet you can tell its been a while since we ate there.. I'm always interested in any suggestions...

Last trip I really enjoyed having lunch delivered to the cabana...love that cabana... Room service al fresco...

Hi all...
it rained after the snow so it kept the amount down but it was heavy to shovel...i guarantee ill be feeling it tomorrow

its 9pm... some of us are packed some of us are not...otherwise i guess we are ready...

surprise of surprise my boss gave me a christmas bonus today. usualy i have to wait until the end of Jan. It was bigger than last year too and business is not doing better...hmmm hes trying to keep me from quiting

BlueSKies......I'm here.......long day of running around today which kept me away from chatting . DS and I met my brother at the mall to help him finish his shopping......had lunch.......then home . But as soon as I got home I started doing things around the house and the next thing I knew I started baking . I planned on doing my baking tomorrow to take things Sunday when we do Christmas at DH's parent's......but I wanted to atleast start so I wasn't baking ALL DAY tomorrow .


Marvel.......Have a great trip and drive safely . Sorry to hear baby M isn't feeling well . I hope the antibiotics kick in soon and the ear infection heals quickly . Enjoy the GF at Christmas and check in every now and then to say hi . Nice little surprise on the bonus....just in time for your trip .

Mare.......I still haven't sat down and made a list of where I want to eat on which days . I'm really bummed about WCC . We don't eat there every year but we were really looking forward to going back in June......I can't believe they changed things there......that place was always so much fun....and now people getting sick . Good luck getting your ADRs in order.......sometimes it's so stressful deciding .

Vanessa....get going girlfriend!!!! You are almost there!

I couldn't get to an appt with my mom this morn cause of the roads ....so I ended up at school doing 3 reports. VACAY for 2 blissful weeks then 1 mth til Gals weekend!

Chan and Kristin...man o man did you all get socked this week. We got only 3 inches but lots of ice, guess we were on that edge of the storm

Wait 2 blissful weeks with 2 teen boys and 1 adult dd and DH home too....i will be escaping...I can already see it!

Hi Channing, Kelly and Deb!! I cannot believe in three nights I will finally be sleeping at the GF!!

So sad about the little girl in Florida. I am glad they finally found her. I remember the Adam Walsh story so well from being a kid and they finally found the man that killed him after all these years. I hope it does not take as long this time. How could a mother ever do anything like that??
