hi everyone we still have no power
I called earlier and the tree was out of the lines but they didnt think they would get it all fixed today and now we will have to stay here again tonight. We are trying to figure out what to do about tomorrow with work and school.

Kelly.....So sorry you still have no power :sad1:. It's nice you have some where to stay but I know it's not the same as being home :sad2:. Hang in there......hopefully the crews will be able to get your power restored by tomorrow .

BlueSkies......I think we did post at the same time :rolleyes1. We love MNSSHP.....we've gone to that 3 times and MVMCP once :). I know exactly what photo you are talking about too......they did that for the Halloween parties as well......but not anymore :sad2:. I loved getting that picture shortly after we returned home :goodvibes. MVMCP is another reason I can't wait to go back in December '09.......I loved being in the MK just for the party and seeing all the shows and all the decorations.....it was so much fun :santa:. I haven't booked our December trip yet but I will (hopefully) be doing that soon ;). I think I've decided on a resort......now I just have to make sure I do the right dates with both DSs in high school next year . I just can't pull them out for 5 days so as soon as I make a firm decision on the dates I will get it booked :thumbsup2.

Deb :yay:

Mare has started making her ADRs!

Mare My 2 year old nephew loved ME also but I just I dont love taking it to the resort-I wanna get there ASAP!!...going back I think its works out fine:confused3 ...JMO Have you made any other ADRs??

I want to go to Citricos next trip and I think Artist Point too (Maxie's post made me think of that one) and I definitely want to go back to Le Cellier...nor sure about anythink else yet...

We have always gone to the Plaza on our first day but our last visit wasnt so good:sad2: not sure...Channing I think you said it was ok and you were there after we were:confused3 I hope it was just an off day when we went ...thats been a tradition for us..Oh I amost forgot Cape May too...My list is growing!!!

I can make my ADRs next Sunday and I DO NOT have my list yet :scared1: :scared1:. :flower3:

Not sure if you ladies heard, but the ADR system is being updated. Right now you can only make ADRs until March 22, 2009. You can only book Chef Mickey's, CRT and V&A 180 days. That's it.

When I called this morning for Chef Mickey's, I was really 180+10 days, she took my reservation number and said I could book it. I played dumb not knowing about the updated system and she told me to call back the second week of Jan and the system SHOULD be up. People are doubting it.

It might be a mess when they do open up the dates, as everyone will be on the phone that first morning at 7am!!

I really want to get a Fantasmic Dinner Pkg at Mama Melrose, which go so fast! My boys have never seen Fantasmic and I like the idea of not waiting around in line.

Regarding ME, we've never had a bad ride. We're usually at the resort within one hour of landing, so I have no complaints and it makes the boys happy. The only reason why I think of using SE is for the supermarket pitstop. I like the idea of having a case of water in the hot summer months.

hi everyone we still have no power

OMG! That is terrible!!!!   Poor you, Kel. I would be soooo mad - and I bet you are!:rotfl: I wonder if Shawn would have school? Do they have power over there? I haven't watched the news or weather channel all weekend....I should.:rolleyes1 BUMMER. I hope you get to go home tomorrow.

I just got back from shopping. Uhgh...the stores WERE crowded. :sad2: My last stop was Target and I had a mega panic attack in there!:guilty: Like one of the worst I have had in about 6 years....I don't know why. It came on me sudden and I just felt like I NEED TO LEAVE THIS PLACE ASAP....so I did. I didn't get everything I went in there for but I am home and relieved. I almost think I had it because I used Starbuck's Coffee this morning instead of my plain old Folger's Simply Smooth.:rotfl: I think that has reduced caffeine...and Starbucks always sends me over the edge...even their decaf. BUT it was a MOTHER of an attack. :scared1:  :rotfl2:

I really have to get my gifts wrapped and mailed out....I am so not in the mood.:rolleyes1

The girls are back to frosting cookies. SICK OF THAT.

Blue Skies.....we always love the Plaza, too!!!:goodvibes Last time, though...they had done away with their German potato salad. Instead they had home made potato chips or brocolli or cucumber slaw...ew. The chips were ok to good, but we always like the potato salad....AND...Lucy and I always have the Plaza Club...this time it was on different weak bread...not the thick grainy bread of the past. Oh well....times change. It was still good...but different. I like it. I'd do it again because I get so sick of heavy restaurant food.

Deb...it is WICKED windy here!! Yes....I was thinking about K trying to land at MDW. Hope her flight gets in on time...it's her first SWA experience.;)

I love the buffalo steak at Artist Point!! I am bummed that is gone. (speaking of changes to the menus)...

Lisa
, glad it was a fun trip!

I heard from Siobhan a bit ago. She was at the pools. She said it was cold but the kids wanted to swim. She's having fun!!! :goodvibes AND getting good deals!!!!!:thumbsup2 :cool1:

ANyway.....just taking a break and thought I'd pop in.

TTYL,
Chan

Did they change it???? The last I heard was it was opening up on 12/20 :confused3? Friends of ours always go the beginning of May and she usually makes her ADRs the beginning of November :rolleyes1. She told me she can't make them until 12/20 when the system opens up further dates . She was none too happy because she said she would have a hard time getting through because she would be competing with others who were making ADRs for trips later than hers :sad2:. This should be interesting to say the least :headache:.

Chan........Good thing you got out of Target quick.....that's too scary :sad2:. This weather is HORRIBLE :headache:. For some reason I thought Kristin was coming home yesterday . I hope they don't run into any trouble and they get home safely .

I better go see what I can cook up for dinner :rolleyes1. TTYL.

Deb :flower3:

They don't know when it's going to be ready. There's a "sticky" thread about this on the top of the Restaurant board. They're claiming 12/22 is the date. But this morning the CM told me January. The CMs haven't even started training on the new system.

I agree, it's going to be a NIGHTMARE! :scared1:

I purposely booked the basic dining plan. We'll do a TS meal for dinner each night, then grab lunch at a park or at Gaspies. I just couldn't be stressed with planning all the ADRs for a DxDDP with the system down. Plus is was a lot of food! I think the basic is enough for us. :thumbsup2

/
Mare Thanks so much for the heads up about making ADRs...Debs right this could be a nightmare!!! I guess I will be relying in the IPO to help me out...they are always sooo helpful:) Took care of our cabanas last trip for us...it was great!!

Kelly So sorry to hear that you are still without power:eek: I hope it will be back on soon...

Channing Can you tell that I dont like change...:rotfl: bring back the german potato salad and the regular bread...how about they only have sugar free butter pecan ice cream...WTH!! Who wants a hot fudge sundae with sugar free ice cream:rotfl: But I do love going to the Plaza...guess will have to give it another try.

Kristin Hope that you had a great trip and get home safely too...

Good evening all

We had the craziest weekend.

My daughter has bronchitis, my baby son yacked all over me at my older son's b-day party last night.

First down my neck and back, the second yack went down the inside of my shirt in the front, then 2 more yacks hitting my shoulder and pants...

I had to cut my shirt off me because there was no way to get it over my head without getting my face all wet from puke.

This all happened as my wife's family gave her grief on the phone about the day we picked for the party.

This morning we woke up with no heat but I was very lucky and 2 friends came over and were able to fix it easily.

I had so much to do.
We did nothing but recover from yesterday.

Sometimes family really sucks!!!

Hi guys and gals!!

Sugar Loaf just became available for my dates so I am gonna try and switch!! What the heck...might as well!! :cool1:

Marvel- So sorry about your weekend. Mrs. M's family sounds just like my inlaws.

BRRRR...it is cold here. We had ice and snow last night. My MIL called me a dozen times making sure that I stocked up on milk and food in case of a power outage. (aka Marie drives me crazy!!) She is starting to get cranky with me so I can tell she is getting a little tense about us leaving for the holidays!!

Kelly- Hopefully you have power today! I am thinking about ya! That totally stinks.

WELCOME BACK KRISTIN!!!

Hi to everyone else! Have a good day! V

Good Morning Everyone~

Marvel What a weekend!! Hope that the kids are feeling better...

Vanessa I hope that you get SL...I know it is not RPC but it is very nice!! There are all of the CL ammenities and the CMs are helpful too...the lounge is a little crowded feeling(there is a nice kiddie area with a TVand little tables too) but overall we choose it often...dont forget you can request that lodge tower room (that costs more and is a specific category in the other buildings) in SL and the cost is the same...plus it will give you that nice extra sitting area...a nice area to set up your Christmas tree!!??:santa:

Kelly...I'm thinking of you too Hope the power is back on!!

I'm getting an early start today...hopefull later I'll be saying my shopping is done:confused3....Plus I need to get to the store and get some molasses...DD really wants to make those gingerbread cookies...

Have a nice day everyone!! TTYL:flower3:

OH NO-- WE HAVE NO SCHOOL!! It is gonna be a long day! I have the entire house cleaned and thought that I could keep it that way until we leave...guess not!

IT IS COLD HERE!

Good Morning Gals and Marvel :surfweb:

Kelly.......That stinks you still don't have power :sad2:. Not that they can really give a definite answer but have they given any idea when the power will be restored :confused3? I hope it's soon so you and your family can get back home......try to hang in there . We're thinking about ya :flower3:.

Marvel......Quite an eventful weekend you had :scared1:. I hope your daughter gets well soon so you can have a nice trip without anyone being sick . Just keep telling yourself you'll be at the GF soon......you'll be there before you know it :santa:.

Vanessa.......You crack me up with "my MIL...aka Marie" :rotfl:. She is a riot on Raymond.......I just love it. Good luck switching your ressie to SL :wizard:. You are going to have a fab trip........I just can't believe it's almost time for you to leave :goodvibes. No such luck for us getting out of school today :rolleyes1. I thought for sure we'd have a 2 hour delay with the 50 degree temps and rain yesterday.......and then having all that turn to ICE and the temp dropping to 10 degrees :scared1:......but no such luck :headache:. Although I do have DS15 home today with a sore throat and just not feeling that great . I thought it would be best to keep him in rather than have him venture out and take the chance of getting worse as I don't want him sick for Christmas :santa:.

BlueSkies........Good luck getting your shopping done today ;). I'm just waiting for a few things that I ordered online to get here so I can get those wrapped and under the tree :goodvibes. I've been good about wrapping as I buy so I'm not overwhelmed with everything at once.......it's worked out great so far :thumbsup2.

Mare......We've only had the basic dining plan and it has been PLENTY for us :). I don't ever usually use any of my CS credits as I just have my coffee in the morning and eat a nice sit down for dinner . But the credits don't go to waste as I have 2 teen boys that can eat :rotfl:. But we are going to try the deluxe plan one of these trips :rolleyes1. But I do agree with you.....the basic plan is alot of food in itself.

Hope everyone has a nice start to their week :).

Deb :upsidedow

Deb: I only did the DxDDP because we had gotten a great deal on it. I think it was during free dining, so I only payed for the upgrade. I don't remember, I just remember doing the math and it sounded good at the time :rotfl2: It was great for Nov since the parks were so crowded, we didn't mind spending so much time in restaurants. We did TONS of character meals which made the boys happy. We also did the Hoop Dee Doo, Mickey's BBQ and CRT to use up some credits. I just wish the basic plan came with appetizers, I know DH will be adding them in. :) I really missed hot breakfast at the BWI! My whole family likes to share a Grand breakfast platter from Gaspies. We can use one CS for breakfast, DH and I can share a CS lunch. He and DS4 can live on turkey legs! :rotfl2: I know its more than enough food for us.

Kelly: I hope you get power soon! Did your boys have school?

Marvel: I feel for ya! :sad2: DS1 caught some bug on our departure day and got sick in the airport, all over me! Several times!! Even once on the plane and again when we landed! Gross! I felt so bad for him, not feeling well and having to fly and us getting delayed for 4 hours. Worst thing was the SMELL! YUCK!

Vanessa: That lodge room sounds really nice for xmas! What the heck it's a holiday, upgrade if it's available! :thumbsup2

It is so warm here today! It's going to be 61 degrees! That's just crazy! I might take DS1 for a walk to see the Holiday Windows on Fifth Avenue later.

Mare

Good morning!

Hi guys and gals!!

Sugar Loaf just became available for my dates so I am gonna try and switch!! What the heck...might as well!! :cool1:

Marvel- So sorry about your weekend. Mrs. M's family sounds just like my inlaws.

I hope you get sugarloaf, good luck!
Regarding linlaws...I feel just as sorry for you as i do for me. :)

good morning all!

Still at my dads and still no power at my house :(
I hope you get notice soon its going to be almost 60 here in NY today...hopefully warmer weather will spread around and help with the repairs.

Good Morning Gals and Marvel :surfweb:

That is EXACTLY what i've been saying. 6 days to the GF

It was a crazy weekend..i forgot to mention how my son almost fell off a balcony in the school's auditorium...Thank God a woman was able to grab his shirt as he climbed up and almost over...

Morning, all.:)

Kelly...bummer. How disappointing.:guilty: You just have to hang in there....it's out of your control...but it rreally sucks. Hopefully SOON!!!

Vanessa - omg...no school.:headache: How come? We had the rain and now it's like 6 degrees out...but they still made Jojo wait 10 fricken minutes for the bus...even though they SAID they'd come at 8:25 now...they come at 8:35 like always...but she has to be STANDING out there abt 8:20 just in case.:sad2: Hope you get yourself into SL!!!! AWESOME!!!:goodvibes

Marvel...oh wow...what a disaster!! I hope the little guy feels better quick and nobody else gets it.

Blue Skies..
.good luck on the cookies.:goodvibes They are easy and yummy.

Deb, sorry you have DS home sick again!!

I am starting to panic about Xmas. I have so much shopping, wrapping, mailing to do...and the kids are done w/school Friday. I dinked around a bit too long. AND my house is a disaster...wrapping paper & garbage everywhere...and baking stuff...ornament making stuff...and it always seems when it gets like that the kids take the situation as a free for all to trash it even more.:rotfl: :guilty:

We have to go down to UIC today for Lucy's annual appointment...which always sucks. She said to me yesterday WHY DO WE HAVE TO KEEP GOING? And basically I hate it too....they just do tests and nothing new to help her eyes...so it's kinda just an all day of disappointing. :guilty:

Well....gonna drink my coffee and read up!

TTYL,
Chan

Vanessa: Good luck getting SL for your dates :wizard: . I'll bet you can't wait to leave!

Marvel:  Hopefully today will be better for you!

Kelly: I hope your power comes back soon!

Channing: Can't wait to try both cookie recipes. I'm going to make them to take with us to both parent's houses, I think! :thumbsup2 I get panic attacks in big crowds sometimes too. A lot of times, I am leary of going to the mall by myself when it is really busy or when I am just feeling anxious beforehand. I had problems yesterday too with the crowds :)

Yesterday, I went to pick up DF's big giant tool chest. So far, the crowds haven't been too bad anywhere, but yesterday they were :scared1: . I don't know if it was the bad weather coming in or what, but I was TERRIFIED while driving. First I went to Barnes and Noble and got the new passporter (one for DF & I and one for my parents and sister, as I am giving the three of them a nice backpack filled with the stuff I usually carry around in the parks as a family Christmas present). It took me 25 minutes to check out :headache: . Then I went to the mall and two people were fighting over the last roll of drawer liner for tool chests :sad2: .

Target was next for some wrapping paper and it was CRAZY. I was upset already pulling in there (rude, shoving people and bad drivers everywhere). When I got out, I couldn't find my keys! I pulled out my extra set, thinking I must have locked them in the car. The unlock didn't make any noise. I left them in the ignition, and my car will not lock from the outside if the keys are in the ignition. So I left my car in a busy parking lot with my Ipod in its holder and the keys in the ignition, unlocked :scared1: . I was lucky to still have a car!

Then I went to Sears to pick up the tool chest. I needed my license and CC I purchased with, so I decided I would pull it out ahead of time, because it was crazy busy there too. I have two wallets, one is like a little change purse that I keep my AAA, my credit and debit cards, my insurance and my license in, and the outher is a pocket book with my SS card my memberships, cash, and an emergency credit card. Dumb, but my theory is then I have something if I lose one wallet  . Well, my little wallet was missing :scared1: . I had just used it to pay at Target, so I did a quick search of the car, the bags in the trunk, and the purse and it was no where  I went back to Target, not knowing if I lost it while looking for my keys, left it at the register, or had it stolen as people were just shoving, pushing, and jostling. Luckily, someone had found it and turned it in without touching anything. I felt so sick until I got it back.

On a better note, the guys at Sears were WONDERFUL. This tool box was one of those giant ones, and they wheeled out this box that was about 4.5 feet tall and really big. Well, I thought it would come in two pieces, and I had my car :sad2: . Long story short, they worked for 40 minutes to get it in my car. They took it out of the box, tied the trunk down around it, kept moving and shifting things until it went in. I told them that I really wanted it to be a surprise for DF and they went way above and beyond to get it in the car so I could surprise him with it and not have to have him pick it up with the truck! :goodvibes

So there's my novel for the day!

Have a great day everyone!

Thanks......it stinks when they're sick :headache:. Hopefully he'll be better to go to school the rest of the week since there's only 4 more days and then off for 2 weeks.......and I can't wait :dance3:.

Sorry you're feeling so stressed about everything . Things will lighten up and get better :). I was just telling DS yesterday that in a way I can't wait for Christmas to come and go so all this crazy running around and busy days will come to an end and things can get back to normal without all the hustle and bustle everyday .

Good luck with Lucy's appintment today :goodvibes. I hear ya on regular doctor visits :headache:. DS13 was going up to Children's all the time when he was younger because his ped doc was concerned he wasn't growing fast enough and thought he might be hormone deficient :rolleyes1. After MANY months/years of poking, prodding, testing, MRIs, etc.........NOTHING came back abnormal......but yet they wanted to put him on hormone shots "just in case". We decided against that and low and behold.......he's doing just fine and growing :thumbsup2. Sometimes I wonder about all these regular visits and testing that these doctors do :sad2:.

How did you like Hoop Dee Doo? We want to do that sometime. I know what you mean about wanting a hot breakfast :rolleyes1. DH and DSs can't go on donuts or muffins every day......they need something a little heartier :rotfl:. That's the only thing I don't like about the YC/BC.....we love that area and the resorts are beautiful......but the breakfast thing keeps us away . But the deluxe dining plan would cure that.....so I'm thinking we'll do that plan the next time we want to stay at an Epcot resort; although it is ALOT of food :scared1:.

Deb :flower3:

Deb :flower3:

We've done HDD 3 times over the years. we enjoy it each time though some might find it too cheesey. Each time we went we had different friends or family with us. I enjoy it more with people who havent seen it before. Not sure I'd do again just us...
Yesterday, I went to pick up DF's big giant tool chest.

oh man what a day..you must have has some sick feeling from all that.
car, wallet....you must have been shopping with some honest people.
