Hi, everybody!

I had a really nice visit with my friend. It was great to see her. We are going to try and get to Disneyland in March and meet them again. Her daughter is Lucy's age and they are friends thru emails and seeing each other a few times a year. Jojo, too. And her son is Z's age.

We went out to dinner last night and then when we were on our way home it started snowing big time so she stayed over night. She had to catch a flight at Ohare today so she just left a bit ago.

Shel...oh..you poor thing. FEEL BETTER SOON!!! What a terrible bummer. I hope you're on the mend now.

Lisa, glad you are having a wonderful time. THANKS for sharing the nice pics over on the GF Faq. Dawn is the BIGGEST BASIN fan!!! I am tagging alone in her shopping shadow. But I am the one that had issues with them letting me take pics in their store. I had to bring CMs in with me.

Mandy, Gabby is precious. That is sooo sweet about your son praying for the perfect dog. SHe was meant for you guys. I love that. I can't wait to hear how CRAZY the kids go over her!!!!! ENJOY the moment!!! And enjoy your sweet new baby.

Good morning everyone!

Hey everyone, we made it and it is beautiful. We have a quiet pool view in Boca Chica. I took some pictures and posted them on the other GF thread.


We got to the MK @ 10 today and was happily excited over the crowds. We walked right on Pirates, Splash and Big Thunder railroad. HM had a 20 minute wait - and we were to spoiled, and didn't want to wait (we laughed at ourselves). Peter pan was 50 mins @ 12:30, that area was getting busy - so we headed to other areas. We'll I better be going, it is almost 11 and we are meeting my parents 8:30 tomorrow. I'll try to post more pictures tomorrow - Lisa.

Glad your enjoying the parks without the crowds...i wont even dream of that for Christmas

Today is the day...... our fur baby comes home! We can't wait! I was at Target Sat and looked at all the cute dog sweaters, I can't wait to go shopping! I can't believe I am excited, a month ago I was dreading the thought of animals and fur and the like.

A 8 month old Weimaraner and we have named her Gabby. We are excited! My kids have no clue! Last night during prayer time my DS6 prayed that we could find the right dog to join our family! WE have not even led on so I almost started crying.

she is so cute!! Im so happy for you and your kids.
What a sweet prayer. gave me a tear....at least no one can see it...last night we were watching a Christmas episode of Little House. I swear at one point my wife and I teared up so badly that the kids were looking at us funny.

No its a different one.
I missed the beginning but Charles worked really hard to get Laura a saddle for her horse but she sold the horse to the Olsens so she could buy him a present and her mom a new stove.
And laura started crying after the horse was taken but she was really sad because her dad worked so hard on the saddle and didnt want him to be upset.
I tell you the older my kids get the more wishywashy these shows make me feel.

Hi Everyone!

We are back and had a great time!! RPC was wonderful as usual! I' m so glad I finally met Vonnie - she is a gem! Super nice and very helpful!

Our room was gorgeous! Chan, I'm sure you posted your room pics but if you all need mine for the FAQ , I actually took a bunch this trip! We loved the sitting area with gigantic balcony and panoramic view!

I totally jinxed myself but saying I was over the first cold because I got ANOTHER ONE!! This time with a lovely cough and sore throat. I bought some meds at Sandy Cove but we took things slow and slept in. Once I took the meds for the day I was okay, but it was hard to sleep at night even with meds. The record lows for the MVMCP night didn't help but we still had a great time! It warmed up nicely the next day.

The CP was lovely as usual. Neil Patrick Harris was our narrator and he is my new favorite. He did a great job!

I bought a gingerbread house and IT MADE IT HOME IN ONE PIECE! Thanks for the advice Chan - the FA's were nice on both our flights and took care of it for us. I have pics of it. It is the 10th Anniversary of the gingerbread house so there is a cute white chocolate medallion with the 10th anniversary inscribed on the chimney of each house for sale. Very cute and worth every penny IMHO!
I bought my family the chocolate- peppermint bark Mickey heads that are really good and of course shingles.

I got 2 adorable Lenox ornaments. Love them - I got the 2008 Tink and the Minnie in the teacup. I want the Mickey on Dumbo when we are there in February!

The other thing I bought for a Christmas present for DD was a pink GF plush robe. It is so soft. She outgrew her old robe so I think she will be excited to get this one.

Calvin was great and purchased the gingerbread house pins for me and they were in my check in packet! He's awesome!
The ladies in the lounge were wonderful as always, as well as housekeeping.

ME kind of stunk! We had a 35 minute wait to check in at MCO when we arrived! We were the second stop and it took us a total of 2 hours from when we landed, to finally get to the GF! Not sure if we will do that again. It's free, but a pain - along with the 3 hour before departure pick up time, I think we'll go back to SE!

The crowds were pretty low. Soarin had a 10 minute wait time before closing! Usually its still a 60 minute wait! Although TSM still had a 70 minute wait at closing. MK waits were minimal,too. I think we were there in between the Thanksgiving and Christmas parade/Pop warner crowds and got lucky!

It is good to be back. It was just my mom and I and we had a great time but I missed my kids more than usual! Probably because of the holidays - makes you want to share everything with your family! Mabye because I wasn't 100% either!

But I am excited for Feb.!!

Got back from shopping and even wrapped everything I bought today . If I keep going at this rate I will definitely be done shopping by the end of the week .


Chan......Did you find any scotch tape ? I HATE IT when I go to use tape and it's all gone . My kids sure know how to use things up but they never seem to let me know it's gone until someone is looking for it .


Mandy......Gabby is soo cute . I know what you mean about all the hair but if I adjusted I know you can too . Your kids are going to be so excited . That is too cute about your DS praying for the right dog for your family . Have fun with your new doggie .


Wendy.....Welcome back . Glad to hear you had a good time (other than the 2nd cold you got ).

Hi, guys.

I did wrap a LOT of stuff for Jo and Lu. I didn't start the guys' stuff yet. I have to wait to do the Santa stuff also because I need different gift tags. I FOUND a STASH of tape! In a huge bin with Xmas wrap/ribbon/tissue etc...there were several 4 packs...so I was good to go. I usually do all kinds of fancy bows and ribbons etc. but not this time. Just slapped a sticky bow on.

Deb...I am doing like you mentioned...get it wrapped as it comes into the house. That's my plan. The kids have 2 more wks of school so it has to get done asap.

Mandy I can't wait to hear how the new baby was received by her brother and sisters.

Wendy!! YAY!! I am glad you posted. I wondered how it went. So ME...eh. not so great. Awesome you managed to get a gingerbread house home!! RPC has the NICEST CMs. Did you see Regis or Kelly? I knew they were there when you were. I would love to see picks of you deluxe room. Can you tell what room number it was? And what was thew view? (OMG...which reminds me - "view" - watched Friday's VIEW with Hugh Jackman while I did some wrapping....OMG OMG omg.....that guy is ADORABLE!!!! I must see AUSTRALIA!! )Those deluxe room pics are hard to come by actually. Sorry you got sick!! Hey..at least it wasn't stomach flu....there is a thread about that going around....ick. Your souvies sound adorable. I haven't ever seen a pink GF robe!!

Yesterday was my DHs National Guard Christmas Party and for all of you from my area you know that if I had to go to Milford, I had to go to Wrentham! Sick as a dog but I made DH stop just so I could rum into Lacoste...I have a problem, really! Dawn, you understand, dont you???

Well I still have not pulled a thing out to pack! But I did wrap today! Anything I have here is wrapped! 90% of Santa is done! Just waiting for the blessed Wii delivery! Then I will be done!

Did I mention it is FREEZING here! Weather looking good so far for next week in MCO! I hate to jinx it!

Still at BWI....I am worried but cautiously optimistic!

Chan......I'm glad you had a nice visit with your friend....I forgot to mention that ealier . It's nice to catch up with the ones we don't see that often . I hope your plans for DL in March work out for you . I can't believe that all the gifts I've bought so far are wrapped and under the tree . This is a first for me as I'm usually wrapping things last minute and hiding out somewhere in the house so nobody will bother me .


Dawn......Our homecoming is so late because we live out in the boonies and we don't have football .....so we do homecoming for basketball . Two of our neighbors started pop warner a couple of years ago and they want to eventually get a high school football team.....which I'm sure they will eventually but my two will most likely be graduated before then since one is done in 3 years and the other is done in 4 . CONGRATS on only 4 more days until graduation.......HOW EXCITING !!!!!


Mandy.....When is your DH's graduation??? CONGRATS to him as well......how excited you and him both must be .


Siobhan......WTG on the wrapping . It is freezing here too . And I think tomorrow's weather is supposed to be nasty.....a mixture of rain and snow and very cold .....NOT a good combination . Try not to worry too much about BWI . We've never stayed there so I can't comment on anything, but here's hoping your stay is magical .

On a recent survey on Allears, they rated the BWI CL the best.

That doesn't really say much when you read the fine print. Only ten people voted. I saw that survey before I switched out of YC to BWI. They're also voted as "Top 100 Hotels in Travel and Leisure Magazine" They apparently haven't stayed at the BWI

I'm now addicted to Basin too! I LOVE the Lemon Sugar body butter and shower gel. Last night I used one of the bath bombs. OMG my skin felt so soft! DS4 came in the bathroom afterwards and saw the blue water draining out of the tub. He had to have one in his bath! I think he used the other calming waters bomb I had. I'm going to have to hide them. I can't have a 4 year old hooked on bath bombs! Bad enough he likes to receive chocolates on his pillow on vacation

Wendy: How did you get the gingerbread home safely? Any tips you can share? I really wanted one, but didn't trust Jet Blue. The flights were packed both ways and they make you put everything in the overhead.

Where did you find the Lenox ornaments in WDW? I just ordered my DS1 one yesterday. My mom had bought DS4 a personalized Mickey Ear Lenox ornament on her last Christmas with us. I was so happy to find that it wasn't discontinuted.

I never noticed that before.....how cute she looks . Are you all done wrapping??? It starts out being fun for me and then after awhile it becomes a chore and I can't wait to finish.......I think that's an indication that I buy too much crap for everybody .

Hi, Deb! YES>....she is wearing goggles....she would let us do anything to her - she is sooo docile. The girls could dress her in a ballerina outfit and she'd let them. She loves to swim and the kids get such a kick out of her playing in the pool with them. She is a big baby too and likes me to hold her and "float" her like a baby. My 135 lbs furry monster baby.

OH!! I hear you about the wrapping!!!!! I usually start off having a great old time, making fancy bows and doing a beautiful job....but today...eh. It was more like GET IT DONE day. I didn't feel the magic of the wrapping today. PluS...I was too busy gawking at gorgeous Hugh Jackman on the tv.

Does that mean you'll read my trip report when I get back in June??? Oh wait....you'll be there the same week as me so I can report to you in person . Who am I kidding anyway.......I'll come back and have to catch up on my chatting that I won't have time to write a trip report.....I'll be having chat withdrawals .
