Afternoon Gals

Hope everyone is having a good day .

Kristin....I will keep my fingers crossed for warm weather while you're down thre . The year we went in December it was FREEZING . We stayed at the BC and couldn't even enjoy the pool .....but on the positive side the BC decorations were pretty . You'll have a great time even if it is a little cool because Disney is just beautiful at Christmas . Plus it will be ALOT WARMER down there than here in Chicago . You'll have to look at the mini golf certs but I think they only have an expiration on them (or maybe not even that) ?? I could be wrong but you may be able to use them anytime up until a certain date . We've never used ours in the past so I never paid much attention to them .


BlueSkies.....Send some of your 50 degree weather this way.....it's a whopping 30 degrees here . The roads are wet and nasty and the wind is blowing all the snow around .

Heads up, tonight you can see Jupiter and Venus! We have already seen them flickering! Look at the moon and the two bright spots are Jupiter (top) and Venus (bottom) It is just dusk here and they are visible already!

I have Jojo the science girl!! Bill Nye is her hero! No...he really is.....REALLY.

We love this stuff! I just looked and it's so cloudy right now I cna't even find the moon!!!! DARN! I will keep trying. We watched that eclipse a couple months ago for hours. I used to have a cool telescope....it broke when we moved & we haven't replaced it. ONe of these days I will make it a priority.

OK, my turn to be a geek now. I just looked at the calendar on WDW's site and they have changed Saturday 12/13 park close from 11pm to 12am!! We love to spend our last night in the World staying out "Cinderella late" at MK!!

Yeah it just got cloudy here too I went out with the big Nikon camera to get some shots and it was great, I came back in to switch the lens and went back out and the camera died and by the time i could go back in and grab the smaller camera we had cloud cover too!

I am gonna check until about midnight......hopefully i can get a good shot!

Whoo Hoo! You should be so proud Dawn! Are you gonna walk with the cap and gown and all that?

DH graduates on the 12th too! We are super excited.... it has taken 10 years and we made it! YES WE! I have spent many nights dealing with kids and trying to explain why daddy was not home and many more hours explaining why daddy was locked in the room while he studied! HE almost didn't walk but I told him he WAS walking...... I want the kids to see him graduate college! I can't wait, I know I will cry !

Evening Gals

What a busy day today . I received confirmation that the stuff I ordered online the other day has shipped ......so as soon as all that gets here I'll wrap everything and get it under the tree . I sat down this afternoon before DSs got home and got all my Christmas cards addressed......they are all done and ready to be mailed . As much as I wasn't ready for Christmas I'm really getting into it now .


Dawn.....CONGRATS on your graduation . How exciting .


Mandy......CONGRATS to your DH.....I bet you're so excited for him .


What a great accomplishment to you both!!!!! If I hadn't graduated college before I got married, I probably would have never finished . It takes alot more discipline to go that extra mile after you're married, IMO . You both deserve to celebrate BIG!!!!!

It is a huge deal...especially when you are working full time and have a family! and it is WE!!! I couldn't have done it without my husband! or my kids being so great and understanding (they are older than yours Mandy)...Just know he couldn't have done it either without you Mandy!

OH and Yes I am going to walk for graduation.....Even my mom is going to come no matter what!

Kristin I love to be in the parks when they are open late...fewer people around...all the great night lighting ...very magical!! Glad to hear MK will be open nice and late on your last night...thats our tradition too...usually where we like to spend our first day also with dinner at the Plaza...but our last trip our food wasnt up to par the icecream either... so we might have to have a new first day tradition ...

Good Morning everyone!

Catching up from yesterday...We had a client appreciation party for my nail salon last night! It was a hit! Very big turnout! In these economic times it is important for clients to realize how much they mean to us!

I haven't started packing yet... I don't know what to pack....short or pants! I am sure I need both but just how much of each???

Hopefully today will be low key! Have to get the decorations up...have to get the decorations up...must do.....

Morning Gals


BlueSkies......I have been staring at the box of Christmas cards for about a week now and yesterday it just hit me to get them addressed and ready to send out . I usually send a picture card from our Disney trip.....but since we ended up not going this fall I'm just sending out regular cards this year ....but they're still Mickey cards . Last year I actually bought my cards from photopass when I ordered the CD.....when we were there in September 2007 we took a picture in front of the castle that turned out good of everybody .

OK, my turn to be a geek now. I just looked at the calendar on WDW's site and they have changed Saturday 12/13 park close from 11pm to 12am!! We love to spend our last night in the World staying out "Cinderella late" at MK!!

We did the same thing in March! My DH took the baby back to the room and my sister and I stayed late with the oldest 3! We got to ride Barnstormer like 7 time in a row! It was DD3 (2yo at the time) first time on it and she thought it was great! The funny thing is the next time we went on it she thought it should have gone again 6 more times! We also saw the late Spectro Magic and it was the first time the kids saw that too! It was great b/c their was no one watching it and the characters all focused on my kids! The only problem was DH was mad and thought we stayed out too late with the kids! Whateva! We loved it!

He is graduating with a Engineering Degree

Every semester when registration rolled around he'd ask "do you want me to take a semester off ?" I just would say no the kids are getting older get done sooner than later!

Siobhan, that sounds like it was a fun girls night out. I bet the clients really enjoyed that. And,you better get those Xmas decs out....it will be panic packing time before you know it.
