Mare- Nice to see you again!!

Usually what I am wearing to the parks at this time of year can be modified to cooler weather if needed. I just throw a couple of extra pieces of warmer wear in the first suitcase and hang it in the closet when we arrive. Then I can grab it as needed. I plan for layers at this time of year, i.e. short sleeve knits with tanks and shorts. I can easily change that to jeans or throw a denim jacket or hoodie on if I need to. I learned my lesson in 2006 planning on cold weather that never showed up!!! I brought home a 29" suitcase stuffed with warm stuff we never wore!!! Now I will just keep adding the layers as needed rather than planning for actual cold weather complete outfits, KWIM? Besides, that forecast will change 3 times between now and when you actually leave, and then be completely off for the end of the trip anyway

!
Kristen, enjoy your "quiet day".
I know, for some reason 40 degrees in FL does not feel the same as 40 degrees in NYC!

Last year I packed all warm clothes with a few short sleeves here and there and got it all wrong! It wasn't as cold as I expected it to be. One evening was FREEZING, but the rest of the week was mild. Ugh, this is the one thing I hate about traveling this time of year. When you go in June, you know what to pack. If it was just DH and me I wouldn't care, it's the boys that I'm concerned about. I have this "be prepared for everything" mommy guilt!
I missed something, Kelly, your son has chicken pox?! I didn't know the kids still got them. I remember getting them as a kid, but my boys had their shots for them. And that flu shot never seems to help them. They've both been sick lately. Flu shot and all. They both have runny noses and DS4 has a cough he can't get rid of. I'm hoping it will go away soon, I don't want him sick on vacation.
He was sick last Nov and it was horrible!! We discovered he had coxsackie (sp) "hand and mouth disease" while on the phone with the Dr from Comic Rays. A few kids in his class had it and it spread. Well, talk about a horrible trip. He couldn't eat all week from the sores in his mouth. He didn't understand why either (being only 3). He would go to bite a chicken nugget then scream in pain. Poor kid. He lived on Mickey Pops that week, which mommy had to eat all the chocolate off first (not so enjoyable after a few of them).
Ever since then I'm a hand sanitizing nut! The DR told me on the phone to have plenty of hand sanitizer on hand. Well, I forgot it. Do you know how hard it is to buy hand sanitzer in WDW!!

After several days, we finally found some in the BW's general store (that place has everything due to the DVC - if you're ever looking for something hard to find, look there!).
So this trip I stocked up on the Germ X pens from
Walmart. My DS4 likes to smell his hands afterwards, then laughs at me and says he's going to lick it! I don't panic anymore cause the Germ X brand doesn't contain alcohol.
Ugh, I was really planning on getting my butt off the sofa and heading outside and DS1 just passed out leaning against me!!
