Kelly - Sounds like you had a nice relaxing day . It was a great day for reading and relaxing here as it was very cold and yucky out . And I think the yucky days are just beginning .


BlueSkies - That would be great if we were down there the same time . I'm actually trying to talk my brother into going.....he's always wanted to stay at the GF and I told him this deal is too good to pass up . He wants to take my mom and dad because my mom would absolutely love the resort . I'm trying to get him to atleast book something so he has it....then he can make up his mind down the road....but this deal won't last forever.......nor will availability .

I agree......this IS a great deal......when DH and DS got home from hunting DH asked me "So....how much money did you save me today?"....I told him nothing yet but that I hadn't booked our December trip yet but once I did I'd be sure to let him know .

hey cheeseballs I spent the day reading and relaxing.
I read twilight today and it was fabulous. I am ordering the rest of the series tonight.

I need to borrow that book from LUcy!!! I might start it tomorrow!! I guess I need to start it when I can just blow off the rest of the world and just sit and read. She lOVED it....everybody that reads it does. Even Ryan Seacrest?!?!?!

Channing Has Lucy read all of the books also?? DD goes on the authors web site every time she finishes one of the books to see when the next one will be coming out... sounds like maybe I should read them too...

I just got back from taking DS to school and it is COLD . The news this morning said today will be the best day of the week with a high of about 42-44 ....then rain/snow comes the rest of the week . Time to get out the gloves, hats, and long underwear .

Morning guys and gals!

Wendy- I am Christmas crazy. I have a long way to go with the decorating but the tree is done. If I was not having my work party at my house I would not worry so much. I just could not pass up a chance this year to make me a little crazy. I got out of hosting all the family holiday events so decided to volunteer for the one for my work.

Channing~ Our tumbling meet was moved to Romeoville, IL in two weeks. I have to take back a dress at Nordstroms. Is the closest one at Woodfield. Thanks for any info. (the dress was $250...so I figure that is 1/2 my tree ) I will never wear it anyway.

Princesses......I was thinking the same thing of putting our tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving . Since Thanksgiving falls so late this year, decorating the weekend before gives more time to enjoy everything . Although anymore it seems like I put the tree up and do all my decorating only for the time to come to take it all down again .


Traci.......Have you made any decision yet on your May trip ?

Hi Deb! Oh yes we are going back in May...it's actually late April to early May. My dh asked last night if I got it booked. I said yes, and reminded him the beach would always be there. This fantastic deal will not. I need to start thinking of my kids outfits now

Hi all! Morning!! Guess what time I woke up today??? 5:37! OMG...I think I reset my body clock. BUMMER!!!!

Kelly and Blue SKies....Lucy read them all....not just once but over and over again. SHE LOVED THEM ALL.....SHe isn't the fastest reader either due to her sight but she read each in a day or two and over again. I said I need to borrow Twilight and she said...OK but don't mess with the folded down pages. And over summer, I took her and a group of her friends to Barnes and Noble for the Breaking Dawn release party. They are mega fans. I need to read that series. Several of my friends have read their daughter's copies and really loved them all, too.

Vanessa....ugh...I know nothing about Romeoville....only that it is not that nice....and that is where when the TV beeps with a weather alert..they say, "from the weather service in Romeoville"... I bet Woodfield is the nearest Nordstroms. Maybe go on the Nordstroms website and there will be a store locater?? WTG on that tree logic!!! I would do that same thing. YOu might wear the dress once....but the tree is a great souvenir of your trip that will last years. I hope you're feeling better about the trip.

Traci! I am glad it worked out and you'll be going in May. You will totally love May. YES! Better get crankin' on those shoes and cute outfits!!!

Deb, that is a great idea about the tree going up before Thanksgiving. wow...yes..Thanksgiving is LATE this year. We've been always running late on the tree thing due to being away from home over Thanksgiving week...but this year we will be home so I can stay on top of it and get it done without as much rush and stress. I need to start asking the kids what they want for Christmas, too......Talk about rush and stress. It is nasty cold here....brutal. I am hating it more than ever. And to think it's gonna get much worse. I want to move south.

I have Monday's off so I hate Tuesdays. Tuesday is my Monday. All this talk about Christmas got me going on some Christmas shopping. I need to get everything done before our trip in 31 days

Kelly Sounds like you finally got some well deserved rest.

Blueskies Did you book anything yet? This deal is too good to pass up. I only saved about $285 off of what I had already booked, but we are staying 7 nights instead of 6 and all of it in RPC. It is about $2400 off of rake rate for the room only, so I am really saving a lot.

Deb I am also hoping for another deal for next October or December, or at least a good AP rate. I'll watch with you.

We are also planning on a December 09 trip (we may get to meet)! And we also want to go mid December...before the crowds, but still in time to see the Christmas decorations! We'll keep our fingers crossed together for some deals then!

Chan........Yeah.....Thanksgiving is late this year....but it's also only TWO WEEKS from this Thursday . I told both boys to write out what they want for Christmas and it will be a FINAL list . DS15 sat at the computer yesterday and wrote his out. So this morning on the way to school I asked him if it was complete.....he says "No....and I'm not even sure if that's the guitar I want".... . These boys are going to drive me nuts with changing their minds every 2 seconds . DS13 wrote stuff down about a month or two ago but I'm sure his has changed since then . Kids.....gotta love 'em .


Maxie.........OMG......I can't believe your trip is in just 31 days....how exciting . Sounds like you got a great deal on RPC for 7 nights . I still can't believe this deal......when we took advantage of the same kind of deal back in 2003 I never imagined they'd have anything like it again . But we'll watch together for Dec '09 deals . Speaking of AP rates......are those pretty good deals sometimes ? We've never had APs so I'm not familiar with the discounts ....but we're getting APs next year so it would be nice to know a little bit about the discounts .

V, I don't know where the new area is...i haven't heard from them yet about the area for my date.

Most definitely . That would be great to be there the same time . I LOVE Disney during the holidays . We were there in December 2003 and I have been wanting to get back in December for so long!!!! Have you ever been that time of year ? I've thrown around the idea of booking YC......but my heart is set on the GF......go figure .
