BlueSkies and Deb Thanks for your imput. I didn't find any codes for my dates. As usual, I always pick the wrong dates. After reading Chan's review of the Swan I think I will stay put there. We spend more time in Epcot at Christmas time and will be going to DHS for the Osborne Lights.

Chan Thank you so much for your review of the Swan. The beds sound heavenly. I always have trouble sleeping on vacation, We have a soft sided water bed, and once you get used to that regular beds are not comfortable. We do spend a lot more time at Epcot than the MK at Christmas anyway so the Swan will be more convenient. Glad to hear you had a good trip. Sorry about the crowds and nasty peeps. I can't believe what they did to Lucy. There are several places for wheel chairs on COP, they didn't need your seat. Patiently waiting for pic's

Maxie, I think you will be happy with the Swan....esp if you plan to spend most of your time on that side of WDW. I have trouble sleeping on vacation, too. I didn't at the Swan. I have to say....*sorry* the Swan beds are even more comfy then the GF's.

At the GF we had weird sounds all around us in our room. I don't know what they were but I can see some people might gripe about it. They were mysteriously loud. We were in 4408 and I loved the location of the room. It had a castle view and was near the corner elevator. At the Swan, we were on the 2nd floor and it was a nice convenient location, also, but the lawn work was noisy early in the am. The kids weren't bothered by it though and I was already up and didn't care.

Where are you all??? Are ya sleeping in??? It's late...time to wake up!

Having a nice lazy Sunday? Or at church?? We have to get going to a bday party. Totally back to reality....DS back to giving me grief. And too much going on.....

I will try and post some pics later today. I have a lot to do...my laundry is still lying on the floor....not even in baskets. Love coming home. Although it's beautiful today and FALL!!!! Time to start raking and burning leaves. I love fall.

Morning All


Hey Chan .....piled up is always one of the joys of coming home from vacation . I've been so lazy this morning.....we went to church last night and DH and DS13 went hunting this morning so it's just me and DS15 . I'm just patiently waiting for the Dallas game to come on so thought I'd check in here .

About that principal ....honestly....I think he's trying to ride it out hoping I'll let it go....but that won't happen......I'll just keep bugging him until it gets settled . But it is ridiculous, isn't it???? The things us parents have to deal with .


About your ticker........I thought it said 11 months until next trip . I thought you already planned a trip for next fall and changed it already .


It's almost noon and the game is coming on.....catch ya all a little later .

Ugh! I've been watching my ebay! I have the cutest outfit WITH TAGS for sale and no takers. Everybody wants the used stuff!?!

We've had Halloween parties all weekend so now it's time for housework and helping with DS's project - my favorites!

Hi everyone!

DDs party was yesterday and it was a hit! Glad it is over and then we had trick-o-treat last night. My town has a crazy ordinance that it has to be on a Saturday night! It makes me crazy but then the kiddos get to double dip because they go to my sisters on Halloween.

So bad news....I think it is comical, really. Maybe things do happen for a reason! My DHs car has to finally go to car heaven. It is 16 years old and well he needs a new transmission so it looks like we will have to get another one. New car=no second trip to WDW! I have not cancelled SoG because if we go at all it will be there. I already have my flights but I probably could only go for a few days and that isnt worth it to me. We shall see....but right now it looks like a no go.

Traci - have a wonderful time. I loved seeing all the gifts that Mickey left the day before your trip. That is such a cool idea. I hope you are all having a wonderful time.

Princesses - are you willing to share that pumpkin chocalate chip recipe? That is something I would love.

Channing - I'm glad your home safe and the trip turned out pretty good. I was reading your post about the rude people and got so sad. Our trip was the same way. We were first in line to get on the monorail at the Poly station when a lady with a double stroller decided to push us out of the way. The monorail person at the station had already said that he was only opening up one gate this time. She knew that they had opened up several in the past so she decided to break the nice orderly line we all had going to make it over to a far gate that wasn't even going to be opened this time. She pushed my mother out of the way which was bad enough. Then she had the nerve to literally push my three year old son out of the way with her hand and run over his right foot. I'm sure she didn't intentional run over his foot but there was no doubt that she meant to push him out of the way. This is my very meek and quite three year old that tells everyone excuse me, thank you, and I'm sorry if he accidentally bumps into someone. I was so mad. I know I shouldn't let my self get that worked up but I can not handle someone messing with my babies. In the end she figured out that her gate wasn't going to be opened and tried to push her way back over in front of us again. I made sure that my children were out of her way and then made sure there was not even a little hole for her to push her way through again. That kind of stuff really affects me for a while after it happens. I know I am overly sensitive but I just don't understand that kind of rude behavior.

Traci- Have a blast! Your kids are going to be soo excited this morning. Have a safe and fun trip!! We are flying out of St. Louis also. I will have to ask you about long term parking when you get back. It has been years since we have flown out of that airport.

Kristin- I am low carbing it until my vacation also. Any good tips or ideas on food items that are good when you have a sweet tooth???

I did some retail therapy yesterday. Spent way too much! Went back to my early days and went into Hollister to get some sweatshirts. Boy that store makes me feel OLD!!

Practice went ok last night. The coach went out of his way to talk to me. We leave for the meet today so I am hoping it goes well. Evie is going along also because her daughter competes so we have to make a stop for the High School Musical 3 movie!! The girls are pretty excited. I am excited about a weekend away from home! Wow, it's quiet here!!!

Siobhan...that is crazy about your early Halloween! I hate how our town does junk like that sometimes....Like over July 4...they have the fireworks when it's convenient...not specifically on July 4th. I always thought that was cheesy and WRONG. So...is Halloween OVER for you guys? It's done?? I am running around like a nut today between laundry and cleaning, trying to get our house all falled up and Halloweened out...Lucy told me she wants a party Friday. FUN! We live in a wooded dark area...perfect for ghost in the graveyard and flashlight tag and they will have a bonfire & hang out.

Myra! How was the Poly?? Did you enjoy your stay?? We only went there for a brief shopping trip. I totally understand how you feel about the rude people. I have a hard time shaking it off, too. It's sad. I need to learn to let mean stuff like that go but I am not so good at it. I spent the COP thinking of what I could say to the jerk that kicked my girls out of their seats.....and then I thought I can't....I am shy and it's just not me. I don't feel comfortable telling somebody they're a jerk.

We really had a good time once I got past the issue with the camera breaking and a few other things going on at home...that DH kept calling me about! And then when I would call HIM, he'd say "QUIT CALLING ME WITH BAD NEWS"!!!! The GF is the BEST!!! So it made it all good....I felt so bad about my camera and I am usually not like that about THINGS...it's like so what..it's replaceable...nobody got h hurt...move on...but I was so crabby I just got crabbier. And now I feel ashamed about that...LOL......But then at the GF I cheered up. Nobody cranky or mean at the GF. Only awesome people at the GF.


My power keeps going out!!! I am back...

Sorry to hear you may have to cancel you trip. You must be so disappointed. A short trip is better than none. We only go for 4 or 5 nights in December and just concentrate on the Christmas stuff. I find that I actually like the short trips. I'll send some extra

Maxie, sometimes we like shorter trips too. On long ones we dilly dally and don't do a lot.

Siobhan....I am sorry about your maybe cancelled trip. I forgot to mention that! My power kept going on/off.....the wind is brutal and it's odd that we keep losing power...but i kept typing and forgot...i hope you do head down...even a short trip like Maxie suggested and keep the SOG!

Thanks Maxie! IDK for some reason, I am taking it much better than I thought. When I had to cancel my November trip, I said no worries I will go in December but now I am still okay with waiting a little longer. I long to go like crazy but I know I will go soon enough.

Chan it is good to have you back! And I am glad to see that the Grand was so great for you! Maybe that is why I am okay with not going in Dec. I really wanted to stay at the Grand but it was a lot more money that I just couldn't do at the moment.

I hope Traci is having a great time! Did she bring a laptop to check in???

So sorry you might have to cancel your trip . I know how you feel as we changed our September trip this year to December but ended up cancelling that as well as it just wasn't going to work this year . If it comes to you actually having to cancel, just start planning another one to replace it . But hopefully you'll be able to get your DH a new car and still go to Disney .

It is quiet around here today . The Halloween party sounds like so much fun . I'm sure the kids are going to have a ball!!!! Both DSs will be gone Friday night hanging out with their buddies so I think me and DH are going to go out to dinner . I told DH we always have to lock the cat up in our bedroom so he doesn't get out when we open the front door to hand out candy......then the dog goes nuts every time the doorbell rings and wants to greet everybody.....while scaring the little kids half to death because they see a 105# Lab heading their way .......so I said let's just have a night out ourselves . DH suggested I get candy and leave a big bowl on the front porch so the kids still get something .

I'm glad the GF made the rest of your trip magical . Speaking of the GF (and how awesome you think the CMs are....especially RPC).....would you say it's worth it to book RPC even if it were just for 2 nights?

I went through the same thing as you are going through now . When I changed our dates from September to December, I was ok because I knew (or thought ) I was going back in December . Then when that didn't look promising, that's when I started thinking of next summer and booked the GF . Now that September is past and it's almost November.....I have been so focused on our July trip and staying at the GF for the first time that not going in December doesn't bother me anymore . We've never stayed at the GF so it's going to be a real treat for us in July . So hang in there....you'll be back before you know it .

OK back to grading papers and fixing my mom's computer. The "Geek Squad" f***ed it up but good! They put programs on the computer noone asked them to and now its not running the internet correctly. Now I am having to restore the whole thing back to the original hard drive like when it came out of the box. That means then reloading all those programs, etc.....WHAT A PITA!

Thanks . I'm tossing it around for a future stay . I told DH it would be neat to stay in the main building right before Christmas....even if it was for just a couple nights . Of course....if we do it at all.....it will be during value right before holiday prices kick in . But I didn't know whether or not it would be worth the move from somewhere else for such a short time .

THis is for my buddy Dawn! (and all you other GF pals, too! )

These were taken with DD's camera...so kind of iffy here and there. And Dawn! They had Democrat and Republican soaps!!! LOL...the Republican one smelled nasty. (thought you'd like my opinion on that )Why didn't I take their pics??? I think I was scared of the wicked Basin lady......so some of these are not the best.
