HI CHAN ....I just saw your post after I posted . I'm sorry it's crowded but sounds like you and the girls are having a nice time anyway . Except, of course, on a few of the rides . How funny about the Halloween costumes......we've been to the party 3 times and I have to agree......LOTS of unique costumes out there . I LOVE to people watch and that's sometimes the BEST place to watch them . Glad you were able to meet Mandy . Maybe the crowds will lessen a little today . I know you'll continue to have a great time . Enjoy !!!

Hiya Deb!! Yes...I don't mean to sound nasty...but somebody should slap ME if I ever want to hit a Halloween party in a tight bright yellow Belle dress. Or audition for AI.. Yes...maybe it was weekend crowds....I don't think October is supposed to be this crowded but I heard the GF is at 100% capacity! Good for Disney in this economy.

The Swan is really nice....the beds are literally like clouds in all fluff and down and we sleep so good. We are having fun....I can't believe it's already Monday!!! Time is kinda flying. I know we haven't been here long but still.......

I have to say...the GF orchestra was VERY GOOD...totally in tune & sounding GREAT...UNLIKE some nasty peep said on the resorts board...and the gentlemen that are in the band all have long histories in music.....

The GF CMs are the best. Last night kind of on the fly we decided to eat dinner at Gaspies and let the kids play in the arcade....well Mandy and I ordered and it took kind of a longer time than ever before so I went and just told them I wanted to double check as it's been a while.....that's it...I didn't gripe or anything..I though maybe they lost our order. This manager said she was taking it off my charge! I didn't think I heard her correctly....she came over & talked to me and took it off...she couldn't have been nicer...she asked if we wanted anything else... Mandy, for one moement I thought....I WANT A HUGE BROWNIE AND ICECREAM WITH HOT FUDGE SAUCE ON IT....but then I thought about the princesses I saw at the MNSSHP...and skipped it. I don't have the nerve to ask for more stuff anyway....I was so shocked we got our dinners for free.

OK...I am gonna get myself dressed and ready...mayb ehte kids will wake up.....it's after 9!!!! TTYL!

You're not nasty at all.....I'm the SAME way......slap me upside the head if I EVER want to go to a Halloween party dressed in something funky . I almost just sprewed coffee all over my computer just thinking about the yellow Belle . Some people just don't get it .

Deb Once you stay at the GF it wont be hard for you to decide on where to stay on your next trip...

That's what I'm afraid of . But for some reason I really want to stay CL . We stayed CL once at the WL back in 2004 and it was very nice . The kicker for next December is that most of the nights will probably fall during holiday pricing ....unless I take DSs out of school that week right before break . DH says I can't do that because with them both being in high school, they'd miss too much being gone 5 days . So I'm trying to work it that atleast 2 nights are at value and the other 3-4 (depending on if we go 5 or 6 nts) are at holiday . I could do that if I pull them out only 2 or 3 days rather than 5 . Plus the YC is a gorgeous resort and I'd really like to try it out . Oh decisions, decisions .

Hi everyone! Just got back from 4 days at a horseshow and I am exhausted!

Deb: I think the GF is at its most beautiful during Christmas. The decor is gorgeous and the resort fits the holidays so well, if that makes sense.

Channing: Glad you are having a great time and that you had fun meeting up with Mandy. Get those girls moving, LOL!

okay the chubby princess thing made me laugh, along with the 3 of you crammed in one row...you are so funny!! I am thrilled you and the girls are having fun even with all those people. I talked to Miguel yesterday and booked a limo!! He seems really nice and I am looking forward to this little surprise. My husband and kids have no idea....

Well we are down to 4 days!! Still packing and loving every minute of it! I just LOVE to pack for a vacation - especially Disney

Morning..... or afternoon depending on when i finish this post!

I am beat! We had a crazy long weekend, but it is back to the grind, ugh Mondays are awful! I skipped step class today I need to get back since I eat gourmet caramel corn during baseball and we aren't done watching baseball yet!

I had so much fun meeting Channing and her girls! We had a fun time just hanging out and being giggly girls. We had a lot to giggle at at the MK, so many wacky costumes, OMG! There were hooch girls, and then girls dressed hooch that just should not have been. IE: the big Belle! My sister is a big girl, well so am I, but she says there are just some things big girls should walk past in a store..... The dalmatians were hilarious, you would have to get me drunk before i walked around in short white boxer shorts. The cow, just gross! Oh yeah, the Ursula was awesome! My sister gave her tow for being a good big girl costume. Oh and we saw Nanny JO, that was a good costume.

Channing I am glad to know it was not just my calls you missed..... I figured you got cold feet and were ignoring them! Hope you didn't think I was being stalkerish in how I found you! LOL! Oh trust me, I wish we could come back over too! The girls LOVED the "big girls"! I felt like you changed you plans to accommodate us and I hate that. I hope we can meet up again in the future, It is so much fun to go to the parks with friends!

We stayed at the MK till the last min we could and got to hear some of the MNSSHP stuff and it sounds like a lot of fun! BUT there were mega crowds, so not sure if i would pay to go I did LOVE how the ghost host from the Haunted Mansion was piped through out the park!

Oh and there were a ton of Captn' Jacks and they were so goofy, in character and everything but SO NOT hot like they thought they were!

I didn't get many pictures yesterday but here is one!

Siobhan~ YOUR DH called me back! LOL! I just had to call you and let you hear the GF lobby ambiance! BTW, got those things for you!

Channing! Glad you are having fun. Sorry about the DVD set and your camera. Those things happen. Hopefully, the rain is behind you, too. We only had one night of rain on our 1st day, but it stopped early enough so we could enjoy MNSSHP. Brenna has written Lucy a ton of emails, so if she doesn't get them while you are there, she will have plenty to read when she gets home! LOL! Bren's getting excited - we are down to single digits for the family Halloween trip! I'm still bummed that we just missed you, but there's always next year...

Have a great time! I hope you get to sample at least a little around World Showcase when it's not too crowded. We tried almost everything last week, including more than a few glasses of champagne. Here's a pic that sums up our short 'adults only' get away...

Oh, and I didn't fall off the Segway!!!

Channing~ Sounds like you are having a good time. Thanks for the pm with bow info. Hopefully today is nice weather and not soo crowded. Maybe Jojo will come around after getting a good night's rest. Those morning flights always wear me out for a few days.

Mandy~ Dh was excited about the baseball thing. He was talking about it this morning...as you can tell I only watch my beloved Cardinals and that is it!

OK- those of you who have been at Xmas. What do people wear to the parks etc on Christmas Eve. We have the candlelight package reserved and I really want to dress the girls up. Just wondering how dressy you see kids and adults or are most in park attire?? Thanks for any help!

Mandy ~ Great pics . What a beautiful family you have . Seeing the Mickey pumpkin pics puts me right back at the MK . We went in 2006 & 2007 and did the Halloween party both trips.....the MK is so well decorated for Halloween....I just love it . Oh how I wish I was there right now . I'm glad you were able to meet Chan and the girls . And the pic of your girls at the chess table is just adorable .

Great pictures Mandy, thanks for sharing. I so wish we could have gone back this year for MNSSHP and F&W. The parks were so nice last year, crowded, but nice. Your kids are adorable!

Ugh, I have to get moving on researching heaters for work. We have a board meeting tonight, and there is no heat in the building becuase of a propane leak. That thing has been leaking off and on since I have worked here. When they think they have it fixed it starts up again and the smell is horrendous! Now the place I had come to do the latest repair said the lines are just old and bad and in need of replacement for safety and the cost is going to be $$$$$$$.

I am sick and tired of breathing propane fumes and having to mention "OSHA" everytime I tell them I am taking my work home for the rest of the day so I don't inhale any more fumes (or maybe get killed by an explosion...). I want them to just buy a couple of those radient heater (they work really well) to heat that section of the building, as it just needs to stay above freezing for all but 2-3 days per month when it actually needs to be warmed, and they need a new stove anyway and the switch to electric is not that pricy. My office already has electric heat, but the propane furnace is right next to me in a small room that connects the two sections and I am tired of getting sick from it! GRRR! The electric will be cheaper in the long run, but I don't know what they will do....

Sorry for the novel, just irritated right now, LOL, and wishing I was in Disney! Only 92 more days to go!

I decided to be a good wife and not run my errands since DH washed the car over the weekend. There wasn't anything too pressing that couldn't wait until tomorrow anyway...

OMG this is too funny!

My girls are playing drive thru ( yeah I know I gotta talk to them about other job options) and I just overheard Emma order grilled snack wraps and a diet coke! Then she told Lil that diet coke won't make you fat!

BTW I always get the snack wraps and a diet coke...... guess they really do pay attention to some things I do!

Kristin ~ I'm sure the rain will be headed our way soon . Although you'd never know it with as beautiful as it is here with the sun shining .

I'll have to tell DS that I'm not the only one who stays home when her vehicle is clean and it's raining (or going to rain) . DH and both DSs laugh at me and tell me I'm nuts when I say I stayed home during the day because it rained . Whenever I talk about possibly going back to work, DS13 laughs and says that would never work because I'd be calling off all the time telling my boss I can't come in because it's either raining or they're calling for rain and my truck would get dirty .

Amy ~ That stinks about no heat in the building . I hope you get everything taken care of in time for tonight's meeting .

First off, soccer was cancelled due to rain!! Wednesday is our last game This has been the season that will not end!!!

Also, the Dr. office called with the results of my bloodwork from last week (or was it the week before that ) Anyway, I am healthy as a horse and my total cholesterol was 150!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, just checking in. Taking a break from the monster size crowds...

Michelle...I cannot believe how empty that pic looks. I am finding these crowds very discouraging and disappointing. We haven't had crowds like this since ???? Not sure when?!?!!? Easter maybe....I don't even think they were this bad over Xmas and Thanksigivng....ugh.

We are going to Epcot in a few. DHS was a BUST. A total and complete whiny bust. WE did NOTHING. We ate a fabulous lunch at BD - sat outside..people watched...listened to the fabulous movie music....and it's gorgeous weather. Lunch was wonderful. but the crowds are horrendous. I am so bummed. I would actually hop a plane for home if I could do so easily. I think I lost my love of Disney. Not whining...I seriously think I have. They have cheaped out on a lot of stuff....even the Mickey bars have shrunk! The Cobb salad has been downsized. The parks are closing EARLY. DHS at 7:30...Epcot at 9 as always....AK always early...MK EMH til 11 pm...whoohoo...you know it will be fricken packed. So we are sticking with Epcot and then BW. Have to pack up a bit and move to GF tomorrow. Maybe I will feel the magic...(I know I will over there) but I really am thinking...next time I want to come here...if it's inside a year I need a serious smacking upside the head.

OK...have to run because the lady will be here in 10 min to clean our room.

I am such a downer!!! But I dragged along two downer girls, too!!!! That doesn't help!

TTFN!!! If you're not coming here soon.....be thankful!! It's a zoo!!!
