Channing ~ Hope the crowds thin out and you girls have some fun :wizard: It makes me sad to think you are not having a great time and want to go home...... :guilty:

I know what you mean about food quality and portions, park hours, and then on top of all that you have massive crowds! :headache: Guest experiences are not the priority anymore :sad2: Seems like Disney is doing great in this crappy economy :confused3 I think it is time for another park then the crowds will thin out a little :wizard:

OK have a great evening! DH is at school tonight so it feels like the longest day ever! Sheli! I think of you on Mondays!

Channing, I also hate you are having a not-so-magical time :( I saw on UG the crowds are supposed to be bad again today (Monday) but they are predicted to go down mid to late week. I hope for your sake (and Mandy's and mine) they do! hugs :grouphug:

Yo Crowds Go Home!!!!! please :)

Chan ~ I'm sad you're not having a good time :(. Hopefully once you move over to the GF tomorrow things will change for the better :flower3:. If it makes you feel any better, it's cold and raining here :sad2:. Enjoy the night at the BW and try to perk up.......it will get better :wizard: :wizard:.

Traci ~ OMG....only 4 more days :woohoo: :woohoo:. When is it you give the Mickey gifts to your kids :confused3?? Now that Kristin mentioned that the other day, I keep thinking about it ;). I hope you're right about the crowds going down so Chan and the girls can have a great time for a few days before heading home and you can have an enjoyable trip as well :goodvibes (Mandy, too, since they're going back the weekend :thumbsup2).

Have to run out and pick up dinner......TTYL :).

Deb :upsidedow

Hi Deb :)
Mickey comes the night before our trip. So the plan is, Thursday after they go to bed I will set out the surprises and balloons. They will get up Friday morning and be sooooo excited. It is crazy fun!

Traci, that sounds like so much fun :). And such a cute idea :goodvibes. Don't forget to take pics so you can show us all the goodies....not to mention their little faces of excitement :yay: :yay:. Are you all packed and ready to go??? I bet you couldn't be more excited.....only a few more days :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:.

I love this part of the trip. The anticipation is so exciting to me! When you see the *gifts* from Mickey don't think I went crazy! I did a little, but I got everything on sale the last six months. I bought my son 2 costumes at the end of summer from Disneyshopping (Buzz & Red Power Ranger) for $10 each. I can't believe how much the jack up the prices around Halloween. Found some cute things from the Dollar Store and Target and Walmat - all Disney related of course!

I asked my kids tonight how does Mickey get into our house...here was the conversation:

Me: How does Mickey get inside?

DD: He comes down the fireplace. Momma (gasp) the wasps.....

DS: No. No. No. (clearly irritated that a 3 year old *thinks* she knows) He flies here in Goofys Barnstormer Airplane

DD: yeah. I forgot about that Jack

DS: No wait. He comes through the window. Not the fireplace.

DD: In my window?

DS: No. Mine.

This was all said very matter of fact. How in the world did he think of Barnstormer?!?!

They are just TOO ADORABLE :goodvibes :goodvibes. Isn't it funny how little kids say things so "matter of fact"???? And "Momma (gasp) the wasps" too cute :cutie:. They look so precious in that picture with Goofy :). They are both so cute, but your daughter is just a little angel princess:. I'm getting soooo excited for you....as if I was getting ready to get on a plane headed for WDW in 4 days :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:.

And don't worry about me thinking you went crazy with gifts.......everyone sees Mickey every where they turn in my house.......I even named my cat Mickey :rotfl2: :rotfl2:. I thought of naming our dog Pluto but DH wouldn't have that :rotfl:......he had to draw the line somewhere as I'm Mickey obsessed and I get carried away :lmao: :lmao:.

Here are a couple of pictures from our first trip to disney as a family (and to the GF)! We had a dormer in Boca Chica with 2 little cribs in there. It was so tight, but the memories are so wonderful!

How precious :goodvibes. I remember when mine were that little and now they're 15 and 13....with the older one driving next year .....and has a GIRLFRIEND now :scared1:. But I guess we can't stop time :sad2:. All we can do is keep making the memories :).

We just got back and I have to say that the crowds were unbelievable for this time of year. I feal your pain Channing. I was kinda glad to be heading home. Of course, now that I'm home I'm ready to go again. It just wasn't what it usually is this time of year. The World Showcase was crazy Fri. night. I felt like I couldn't take my hands off of my children for one second. I stood in line at Mexico's counter service for 40 min. - yikes!!!! The food and wine festival just isn't as fun as it used to be. We did have a nice trip though. My two year old little boy was really into it this time. I will never forget the look on his face when he saw Mickey pop up at Playhouse Disney. It was priceless. We went to Downtown Disney last night and it was zoo but we still had an awsome time.

Mandy - You're children are adorable. I loved seeing the pics of them in the MK.

Hi Gals...

Lots going on I've been MIA lately!

Mandy....2 things...congrats on your Rays, I remember feeling top of the world when our Sox went to the Big Show! Also, CUTE pics of your family....how fun to pick up and go to WDW!

Chan....the magic will return when you get to GF! I know it!!!! I think if you back in the near future it should be with "older gals" KWIM????? ;) Those fricken crowds..oh how I know it when we were there last Sept it was packed and the year before packed for F&WF and Super Soap...totally frustrating!
Let GF take you away..:cloud9:

Kel...sorry about the Red Sox...we here in this house were cheering them on:guilty:

Tracy...I agree the best part of a WDW trip is the week before....I remember all those fun times when my boys were little too...they still like going its just a different type of anticipation! Right Deb???

Siobhan....happy planning;)

To you mommas with teens I admire you! I am so glad I'm not there yet, but it seems to be approaching faster than I could ever imagine. What is it like teaching your kid to drive?? And girlfriends??? Do they call your house?

What is it like teaching them to drive?? That makes me nervous just thinking about it! LOL :lmao: at the girls calling and texting! I guess in the old days (like when I was a teen) we could only call! And there was no caller ID either!!

Well teaching our daughter was PAINFUL...on her permit she smashed the side of our Explorer in the McD's drive through:confused3 Oh Yea it really happened!
Our son was a dream....he has been practicing since he was 3 driving one of those motorized cars. :lmao: He was born to drive....now he has a cherry red pickup..its sweet! (he has a job to pay for his sweet ride;) )

That sounds like my kids in a few years! My son drives his little car around and my daughter is too busy singing and looking in the play mirror (sigh).

I can't believe your daughter smashed into the McD's drive through! Oh my! I can only imagine the conversation that went on right after that :rotfl:

Hang on to those young years while you can, because they will go by so fast you won't know where they went......they will be teens before you know it :sad2:. And there's no calling the house involved....it's all cell phones .

also girlfriends don't call the house, they call or text the cell! :rotfl2:

OMG Dawn....you hit the nail on the head :rotfl:. Every night before I go to bed I make a stop in DS's room and he's sitting on his floor watching tv or playing Xbox Live and talking to his girlfriend on his cell phone. As soon as I walk in the room, I (very loudly) say...."who ya talkin' to???"....as I know darn well who it is :rotfl:. But I must say she is a sweet girl and DS doesn't really mind......plus she always tells him to tell me "hi" :goodvibes.

Teaching them to drive......:scared1:. My 13 yo maneuvers a car better than my 15 yo . DH started having DS13 pull the trucks out of the garage, down the driveway, etc and he does great :thumbsup2. But get DS15 behind the wheel and :scared:....SCARY :rotfl:.

Did she really smash the Explorer in McDs drive thru :scared:. That's why DH's truck is the teaching truck for driving in this house :rotfl:. He's got an extended cab pick up and mine is a full size SUV that I TOTALLY baby . But DH has a company truck for work so DS will take his since it just sits in the garage anyway.....that is unless it's raining out and mine is clean....then I take his :lmao:....or I just take his anyway :rotfl2:.

If that were me and we were in MY vehicle, there would be no conversation......he'd be running for his life :rotfl: :rotfl:. I get so much grief over how I baby my truck that it's a big joke around our house . Oh the joys of raising teenagers .

those stories made me smile :)

okay so heres a question...what is like going to Disney now they are older? We spend a lot of time in Fantasy Land...I guess you all have to fast pass a lot for the big headliners. This will be the first year our kids are big enough to ride Soarin...

OH YA it really happened....we laugh about it now but then:sad2: :scared: I was not giving the lesson it was DH...he said "Brake" and she hit the gas...after she got her license she had to drive gram's tempo..which we nicknamed "The Tempenator"...let your imagination run wild as to what that looked like before it died:scared:
