Did I mention I got sun burned really bad???? Ouch my shoulders hurt!

KELLY You were right about Figero Fries ( I didn't doubt you) but I asked if I could have the lettuce, tomatoes and ranch and was told sure. Then I got to the counter and they said what are you talking about???? LOL, I was told they don't even have the stuff to make em like that anymore. I told the manager or who ever the "suit" I talked to was they need to change the name to loaded cheese and fake bacon fries. People are gonna order Fig Fires thinking they are the old way and be mad when they get the crap they now call fig fries...... Can you tell I LOVED FIGERO FRIES and am bitter

I forgot to mention that DS6 and DD5 went on BIg Thunder AND Splash for the FIRST time yesterday! It was so fun! I can't believe how brave they are, they got hi fives from several CM's and when they went the first time ( with DH and DSIS, I was with the baby girls ) A CM got the whole train to cheer for them! AND they got to do them twice! I love rider swap!

I called my sister at 7 am to ask her to bring over my camera, she normally sleeps till noon on Saturday..... I love pay backs!

Chan ~ Have a great time and enjoy your girls only trip . Don't worry about the flight....you'll be fine . Glad to hear the girls are excited about going.....it's funny Jojo now wants to stay longer than 6 nights after wanting to stay home and go on her field trip instead . I knew they would get excited . Can't wait to hear some live reports and see all your great pics when you get back .


Mandy ~ Sorry you weren't able to get off to WDW as early as you wanted ....but it sounds like you still had a good time . So cute about your DD and FGM .

I just called Disney and made my final payment!!! We will be in Disney in 49 days. I can't believe that it is finally getting close, we booked this trip in February. I want to thank everyone on these boards for all of the great ideas. We are staying at the GF. I ordered 2 Christmas trees (one for DH/my room, one for my parents room) from Peggy - while she was still taking orders. We also booked a VIP tour for the MK. I would not have known any of this without you and I just wanted to say Thank you!

Counting down the days, can't wait to see Channing's pictures - Lisa.

Mandy/Kelly, school me on the fig fies. This is something we have never had the pleasure of trying. By the time I learned about it, I heard they no longer served. Are youy saying you can still order them?

I am actually trying to pack (I know crazy) and put away clothes. I figure I am not going to put all this stuff in tubs and then pull it all back out in 1 1/2 months for our trip. (still not fun when you are overwhelmed with crap) Who buys all this stuff anyway??? My kids do not even wear 1/2 this crap!

Hey all- where do I get cute Disney sweatshirts. Is Disney Shopping the only place? Any other ideas?? I thought about just waiting until I get there but I would like the girls to have some cute holiday wear!

Figaro Fries are at Pinocchio's Village Haus in MK. They USE to be fries with cheese, bacon then lettuce, tomato, and ranch on top of that. It was like loaded cheese fries with a salad on top. Weird and not very good sounding but they were awesome...... I would eat them as a meal. They had a cult like fan base.

NOW the Figaro fries are french fries with cheese and bacon on top..... not even real bacon, like big bacon bits.

YEs you can still get Fig fries but not with a salad.

I was told they changed them 4 months ago....... I sadly had my last "real" order of Fig fries in May. The weird thing was the people at the counter said they had lots of people who were big fans and there was no clear reason for the change. I can guarantee you it was a money issue, some how lettuce and tomato are to expensive and they cut them out. BUT htey did not change the price..... That's Disney for ya!

I told my DH tonight I am making my own fig fries...... I will let you know how they turn out.

Ok that is pathetic...... all that rambling on about how much i miss a french fry salad.

Gotta go, I found more fall stuff in the storage room that i forgot I bought last year after Halloween, LOL! Gotta go put some more fall all over this place in our 90 degree weather. I am carving pumpkins tonight..... I hope they last in all this heat! My DH will be running our pumpkin family back and forth from the fridge to the porch again this year! DH can't wait, I am gonna suggest he use the wagon and take them to the back door!

Next week I will be baking dozens and dozens of pumpkin muffins and gaining the few lbs I have lost back!

Hey I just remembered one more thing from yesturday!! They were already putting up the castle dream lights! I was hoping they would be back and they are, that is the most amazing thing when they light the castle! All of you that are gonna be there over the Holidays you can NOT miss the castle lighting!

Mandy ~ I bet those castle lights are just beautiful!!!!! I've seen pics of them but I'm sure that doesn't do them justice . Not sure what my chances are of them still being around for our December 2009 trip, but I'd sure love to see them in person . If it changes, hopefully it will be something just as beautiful, if not better .

Traci - Try not to worry too much about the crowds.....you'll still have a GREAT time....even if it is a little busy . The weather should be nice and warm and you'll have a fabulous time at the GF . Look at me.....I haven't even stayed at the GF yet and I'm telling YOU how great it will be.....and you already know that . I can't believe you're leaving THIS week.....WOO HOO !!!!


Mandy - You've got it made....being able to go to WDW anytime you want . Have a great time next Saturday and I hope you and Traci get to say "hi" to each other while you're both there .

Deb I think it will be really fun to hear about your first trip report to the GF. You are going to L-O-V-E it! Just walking the grounds are so enjoyable.

I can't help but dread the crowds. We planned it around this time for the lack of them. I know there are no slow times at Disney anymore, but it sounds like Christmas in October right now. I know we will still have so much fun though! I can't wait to get my babies there despite all those people.

Oh, and only 5 more days!!!

Traci ~ The next 5 days are going to fly by.....you'll be at the GF before you know it . I'll keep my fingers crossed that the crowds are decent and not too bad for your trip . I know what you mean about there not being any slow time at Disney anymore .

Are you guys doing the Halloween party ? That's alot of fun....we've done it 3 times......now I'm ready to do the Christmas again in 2009 .
