I have my SWA info here waiting to check in and get boarding passes. My return flight never went down...it went way up so I am glad I got what I did.

Kristin, omg....I thought your DH was coming on board for the June trip. I know we'll be fine....I just always get freaky before a trip and now this one is making my head spin. PLUS the fact that only I am packed.....I am going to choose a few things for the girls today and have them give their final word tonight. I haven't been to WDW in October since 2003 and I remember thinking WOW IT"S PACKED!!! But back then we were spoiled from going in January...so I am not sure I will still consider it crowded.

Thanks all for the offers of help. The room sleeps 5 so there is room for two more. Come on down. Even if there's more than two coming we have our ways to sneak peeps in. I have butterflies in my stomach! I tried to get my neighbor to come. She would have wanted to - she needs a break - but she has a family commitment during the time we're gone so she can't.

We are at 49 as of today!!

Chan- DH isn't objecting to June anymore, he just isn't sure he wants to come with. He wants to go to the Sox vs cub game at Wrigley (which is that week) and up to Milwaukee for the Sox vs. Brewers game, which is that weekend. I said to try to get tickets for the Friday night game and fly down Saturday or Sunday (father's day) and finish the trip with us. He is just "working it" for more "fringe benefits" We are past the point of negotiating about the trip (that is a done deal) it is just how many days we are going for I am going to have Kel book it for 10 and we can subtract days off once we get closer...

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Nope, I'm not taking the laptop. Hubby needs a break! DH and I actually had a LONG conversation about it last night. He's been studying for a major exam for the past 3 weeks. He took the exam on Tuesday. So, no more studying while we're on vacation. He had this silly idea that he could study on the plane. While the kids are right next to him! He's not allowed to bring his company cell phone either.

Besides we're only there for 3 nights, I doubt we will have downtime to fire up that PC.

I am more excited than my 7 yr old. DH thinks I'm cuckoo.

I can't remember if the shampoo and conditioner at the GF is good. I hate to pack 2 big bottles...travel size would never last my family. I am wondering if I should rely on the stuff housekeeping leaves. Your thoughts?

Traci that is soooo cute! I love that. And here I can't even get my kids to take 20 minutes to choose outfits.

they use the H2O products and I do like them but I have chem treated hair so I bring my own in little bottles. Everybody else in my family uses the GF stuff and loves it....DH buys it from H2O. It IS nice.

Kelly Happy Birthday to your DH..I love home made cakes..my kids ask for one every year (I try to get away with the store bought icecream cakes when I can... )

Kristin Many times I have taken a Disney trip with just one of my kids (no DH, no other kids)...mom and child bonding time, we always miss everyone else BUT the one on one time in such a special place makes wonderful memories IMO

Afternoon All


Taking a break from cleaning and realized DSs will be home in about 2 1/2 hours . How the days just fly by .


Traci - How cute that your little girl is helping you pack . Girls tend to be more helpful than boys . I have no help here with two DSs.....DS#1 walks around muttering that he's not going to Disney AGAIN and DS#2 always wants to wear clothes that are already packed . So needless to say.....it gets pretty crazy around this house the week of leaving . And of course I'm always the one who is responsible for the cell phone chargers, the iPod chargers, the goggles for swimming, etc, etc, etc.........even though they are both TEENS and are more than capable of gathering their stuff .

Chan - I'm sure the girls will come around once tomorrow gets here and they're on their way . It's going to be a great trip .

Marvel - Your trip is getting close, too . All these trips coming up....how exciting . The holidays are such a beautiful time to go . You're going to have a wonderful time .


Kristin - Only 49 days for you.....it'll be here before you know it .

NOTHING . I couldn't decide if I should email the principal or wait until DS gets home to see if he had any news . The other day the principal called DS out of class and asked him if he could bring a copy of the report since DS misplaced the graded one . DS took a copy back either Tuesday or Wednesday (can't remember which). I'm getting antsy to find out what the principal has decided.....if anything . And now it's the weekend again so I may have to wait some more . The more I think about it as I'm writing this, I may just go ahead and email him....it can't hurt .

I dont agree...my son is very helpful...when I want to watch wrestling on tv..he keeps me company...
When we are at gamestop he helps me pick out new Playstation games.
and a sicilian pizza? hes very happy to help me eat it. Sons are great! (daughters are cool too)


You would think 66 days is a lot of time but its not. I feel like Christmas is running straight at us. We have so much to do and to send down before our arrival and I feel already feel like I don't have enough time.
Halloween, Thanksgiving, family birthdays... too much to do.

Traci- I love that she is helping!! DS likes to help too. We put on a Disney tape loaded with Travel Channel Specials and watch it while I organize everything to pack. AND I HATE PACKING!!! But that alone makes it bearable

Kristin....what a cute idea to put on tapes of Travel Channel specials while packing . My two DSs never had any interest in helping me pack when they were younger....they just wanted to get to Disney and didn't care about getting ready to go . Now that they're teenagers, they REALLY don't want to do anything . But that's ok......I love taking care of them no matter how old they are . I just hate the fact that they're growing up so quick...I don't know where those little boy years went . Time goes by way too fast .
