You are supposed to show the AP (or voucher) at check in. I didn't book the package for next year, my TA did, but I don't think they asked her. (obviously I don't have the AP yet- I am getting it in December) She has been instrumental in educating me on the ways of AP's :rotfl:

Mandy- hooray for the chocolate and midol!! I am sure all the stress with your dad lately just pushed things back a little this month ;) And double hooray for the day at WDW!! You will have just as much fun on the day trip than if you stayed over, I am sure of it. It will be fun to have the family time. :goodvibes

Shel- have fun with the closet :scared1:

And I will have you know that I DID work out (Still need to shower though :rotfl: ) The dang phone kept ringing. First DH, then the soccer coach (more drama  ), then DH again. I am seriously in need of a calgon moment right about now!!

TTFN!

Kristin ~ Thanks again....you've been a great help :goodvibes. Maybe they do let you book it that way and then if you can't show proof upon check in they adjust your room rate :confused3?

Mandy ~ YAY for the chocolate & midol :cool1: :cool1:. I was going to say the same thing Kristin did that all this stress with your dad being in the hospital probably had an effect on things ;). Can't wait to hear how DS did at school today :teacher:. Let us know :).

Chan ~ How's Jojo.....feeling any better ?

Shelli ~ I agree with Kristin and the closet  :scared1:!!! As you can see I'm here on the Dis and NOT doing closets (or anything else constructive) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:.

BlueSkies ~ I'm getting so excited about the APs.....more trips we'll have to take to make them worth it :rotfl2: :rotfl2:. PLUS....I may even be able to get a room discount for some of the trips :thumbsup2.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day :flower3:

Hey all! Just checking in.:goodvibes

OK....now I am dorking out about our trip again. I have been sitting on the sofa rubbing piggies. So...of course between Scooby Doo we watch the Disney Channel. So....I see HSM3 comes out October 24. I have us coming HOME October 23. Do you think we will miss something cool if we don't stay at WDW for the opening? Will there be any parties or anything special at WDW for this event?? ANybody know?? Now I am thinking back to my original plan of Saturday to Saturday.:rotfl: :rotfl: Geesh. Thank God for SWA.

Mandy! How did DS do??? Curious!! I hope it turned out ok for him. I am so happy you have some fun time planned this weekend. If you did stay over night maybe you could spend the whole weekend there? Sat and then Sunday?? Either way, a day at Disney is great.:goodvibes

Ok...my eyes hurt from looking at the computer!

OMG...funny....I called Dawn all excited about her rates dropping on SWA.....except...it wasn't to Orlando..it was to Oklahoma City.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Poor Dawn. I had her all psyched up.:rotfl: :rotfl: *sorry, Dawn!* I am such a spazz. The weird thing is I got the Ding and I could have SWORN I went straight from the Ding to MCO and got that screen.....I must have dorked somethign up in between. It WILL HAPPEN. There is NO WAY you should be paying that much for your flights.  RATES MUST DROP!~:cool1:

Chan:)

For all you peanut butter lovin girls who would like to have a snack that is low in calories I just bought Reeses snacksters~it is a 100 calorie pack and is really good!
Has anyone else tried them....

Trying to diet...its no fun at all...( I will be eating a pumpkin muffin though) having a low cal snack really helps me to stick...

Also what is it that when ever anyone asks about one resort versus another people feel obliged to equate the luxury and elegance at the GF for snootiness (is that a word??:rotfl: ) snobbiness etc ??? I just dont get it...

I guess I can only judge on my own experiences and I have always felt the resort to be a warm friendly place:confused3

To each his own I guess...

Did ya see the news....SCARY!:scared1: Markets.....

Before the cleaning of the closet: Please note that the addition of so much as a single pillowcase was impossible. And there were 3 more blankets above the spiderman on the top shelf.
ry%3D400

Of course, to fix it, everything had to be pulled from the tiny closet...causing a pile of crap that is only rivaled by the stacks seen on TLC's "Clean Sweep."
ry%3D480

And by the time 2 full trash bags were removed to Goodwill, and the fitted sheets were re-united with their matching flat sheets and tumblled into pillowcases...VOILA! A useable (if still somewhat overly blanket laden) closet:

ry%3D480

Thanks for the pep talk Mandy! :) And seriously? I am loving the sheet sets being neatly in their matching pillowcase!!!

BlueSkies, I also start to wonder about the people who constantly have to put down the GF and call it snobby. :snooty:

Then I think of my brother. He would think the GF is snobby. He thinks I am snobby. :confused3 His definition of snobby is anyone who is not poor and wearing holey clothes like him. His idea of fine dining is the local Chinese Buffet (Yummy food but not high style :headache: ) Dressed up for him is literally his good (ie: any clean) jeans and his 'bestest' tee shirt. I love him dearly but he would feel like an alien from a different planet at the GF. :scared1:

I am not snobby, I don't own so much as a single cocktail dress, but compared to him we live well.

Some people might think the GF is snotty. If they live like my brother they might even be right. And admittedly, I did run into one really snobby pair when we were there. Some woman at the elevator sneered down her plastic surgeon created nose at me like I was the troll from under the bridge. She literally said (loud enough for me to hear) "What the hell was that?!?!" (refering to ME!) She was one poisoned apple away from being the Wicked Step-Mother.

Hey Shel...where have ya been?? You are on a roll girlfriend! :surfweb:

SPOILER ALERT FOR THE OFFICE:

Hey Mandy..did ya like when Jim and Pam got engaged? How bout when Dwight left Phylis in the middle of a "bad area" and made her walk back??? Not too bad of a start........

I can't even believe the season moves on!! :faint: DH is trying to work his magic and get us tickets for tomorrow night's game against Minnesota- this one is for all the marbles!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi gals. Well it has been a pretty depressing day with the market news. It has hit the farm industry and our markets were down the limit today which means we have lost a lot of money. I hate this business some times and today is definately one of them. Dh wanted to just sell out of our entire crop today and I told him to hold on and see what happens and hopefully things will bounce back. I know tomorrow is going to be another down day and so I am totally dreading it. This business is such a gamble. Anyway- I am going to try to pull myself away from the tv and the internet and try not to worry about it. I know it is selfish but I just wish they would try and find a fix to this whole mess and fast. I am not sure if it is wrong or right but it just does not seem that there is much of a choice.

OK on to the fun stuff.

Mandy~ Hopefully your son had a great day! Let us know!!

Channing~ Loved the outfits. I am sure they will do something fun for High School Musical 3. Brook got to watch Camp Rock on the beach. That would be such a good time and the girls would love it.

Dawn~ My flights are still extremely expensive. No movement yet. It is a $100 a ticket higher right now to fly out a day earlier so we are still flying in on the 24th which is not what I want to do but may not have a choice.

Shelli- I need your little helper gal. I stink at organization.

Hi to everyone else. Hope your day was better than mine. I think I am going to take SEVERAL Tylenol p.m.'s and go to bed.

Hi all,

Mandy, I can't wait to hear how everything went at school today. :goodvibes
Channing, the outfit is so cute. You will be there before you know it. I love the MNSSHP party. I wish I were going this year.:goodvibes
vbarry, My DH is also so depressed about the market today. I hate to watch the news anymore. I need a disney vacation to take my mind off of things.:rotfl:

Good Morning Everyone!!

Mandy - I can't wait to hear about your DS's first day!!! I hope the second morning was easier!!!

Channing - I wish my DD would still wear cute clothes like that still!!!

Shelli - Great job!!

Morning Ladies :surfweb:.

Dawn......Sorry your airfare is still high :headache:. I hope it drops soon....that stinks when you can't catch a deal . I'll keep my fingers crossed something good comes along soon :wizard: :wizard:.

Shelli......WTG on the closet.....looks great :thumbsup2.

Kristin......Was hubby able to snag some tickets for tonight's game :confused3??? If so, have a great time :dance3:.

Vanessa......This economy just sucks right now  . Sorry things aren't going well.......hang in there and try not to worry.....hopefully things will pick up soon :grouphug:.

Mandy......How did yesterday turn out??? Hope this morning was a little better :).

Enjoy your day gals :).

Deb :flower3:

morning, girls!!

Well....I am up early to drive Jojo to chorus, but she is still coughing and feels sick to her stomach and can't eat....so she went back up to bed and I am here drinking coffee.:surfweb:

Mandy, I am really curious about your DS's day yesterday and how it went this am. Keep thinking WDW WDW WDW......

Hey, Annette!!
You're up early! Or were you up late? I didn't see.:rotfl: I was up late. I couldn't sleep. Now that I am thinking of a short trip I am wondering if that's a mistake.:rotfl2: Maybe I should just stay the whole week. Now I don't know if DH will go for that after I self talked myself and him into thinking I could/should do the short trip....return on Thurs and get the kids to school Friday....I am thinking they won't go Friday. I know them.:rotfl: (and worse, I know ME:rotfl2: ) Decisions decisions.....and I waited til just a couple days ago to schedule the limo becuase I felt like THIS IS IT...I know what I am doing. :headache: :rolleyes1 I am embarrassed to reschedule. It's not like it's the first time I've done that.:rolleyes1

Sheli! WTG on the closet! Mine is bigger than yours and looks like your first one. :rotfl: Not good. How long did that take? I am scared of mine.

PrincessP.
..the pics of teh Halloween party look fantastic!!:goodvibes We haven't been to one since 2003!! I am really excited about it. :thumbsup2 The fireworks and parade are neat - I remember those but I am sure they've changed in 5 yrs.

Vanessa,
wow that is scary. I am so out of touch with the economy. I watch some things - NasDaq and specifically our stocks but that's it. I have no wide scope of things.

:rotfl: We were watching John Stewart last night and had Pres Clinton on. OMG that was a good one. :rotfl: :rotfl2: He is so right on...they both are. And it IS scary out there.

Well....off to make phone calls. TTFN

CHan

Morning! :goodvibes

Boy was I tired last night! I missed out on chat time! Sorry Sheli! :flower3: Conner being in school has caused us to change our schedule and we are still adjusting to new bed times and getting up early.

OK I need to update on Conner's first day. He had a good day! He seemed happy when I picked him up but had to tell me that he had no napkin in his lunchbox! :lmao: HE had a abnormal day as they pulled him out if class twice for assessments so it was hard fro me to get an idea of what he did.

The reading lady told me his morning he did very well and will most likely be put in a advanced group that gets pulled out of the class so he can accelerate. That made me feel good that I was able to eduacte him a little and now he is advanced, I don't feel like so much of a failure! :rotfl:

HE made a few friends but could not tell me their names but was able to tell me that his best friend is a girl and looks like Nay Nay but has lots of beads in her hair that make a clicking noise when she moves. :rotfl: Nay Nay is our good friends daughter and they are black. I was cracking up but proud at the same time because he does not know black/white ect..... I even asked him what do you mean she look like Nay and he said you know mom, her skin is brown not pink. :thumbsup2 When he called all the grandparents and my sister he HAD to tell them about how cool her beads in her hair are then last night when i was taking the girls pony tails out before bath time he said we should get some beads for the girls hair. He said they are so cool! :lmao: :cool1: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

This morning he was sad because I left him in the lunch room at his class table and did not walk him to his room but he did not cry. Oh and we asked his friends name with the bead and it is Milah, pretty name!

Well while I was finishing this post up DD2 fell while carrying the big glass jar or crayons and busted up her mouth. Don't continue reading if you have a week stomach. I heard her fall and ran around the corner and picked her up and the blood began to pour out if her mouth. I though that she had knocked out all her front teeth because of all the blood and I could not see any thing. She kept sticking her hands in her mouth and was screaming so hard she actually swallowed some blood and threw up. We were sitting on the kitchen floor by that time and OMgosh the blood, it looked like something was killed on our kitchen floor. I finally was able to get see that she just bit her tongue and all her teeth were fine. Then I was worried she had bit through and I would need to take her to the ER for stitches because it was just poring out if her mouth. It didn't take long to slow the bleeding and her tongue is OK! I had to go give her a bath and I was covered in blood also so we both are now clean and fresh. I wiped up the floor and there were even little bloody hand prints from where she put her hand on the floor. :scared1: Off to soak our clothes and get some clorox and REALLY clean the floor! Seriously, it looks like I am cleaning up a crime scene and it kinda creeps me out !:scared:

Have a great day!

Great job!:thumbsup2 :cheer2: :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :thumbsup2

Your closet is the same size as my hall linen closet. We have one advantage and that is we only use sheets at night and have no need for blankets so I use space bags to store our heavy blankets since we use them for just a few months, they are stuffed under our bed! BTW DS has spiderman sheets that look like that!

Good Morning

GO WHITE SOX!!!

Oh Mandy that must have been some sight...sorry all that happened...

Chan...c'mon book the longer trip :thumbsup2

I booked my vip tours this morning for Christmas.
Im going to do Epcot on the day we have the Candlelight Processional.

Im thinking of staying until Illuminations...which should have a holiday ending by that point, right?
After seeing how easy the guide made our almost all day trip at the DS i figure why not?

I booked one at each park.... not sure if I'll do all 4 parks but I want the option.

I was torn on booking the Mk for the 25th or 26th. With a 7am opening and a six hour minimum that means 1pm which im sure will be packed by that time.
I grabbed the 26th but just am not sure if the guide would be better for Christmas morning. I know the 26th will be less crowded (relatively speaking) but maybe the guide will be handy for Christmas morning crowds... :confused3

Our poor kids won't be opening any presents until after lunch on Christmas

still cant find any room for Jan 1st or later ...Who wants to be driving home on the 1st? Unless i end our Christmas trip at a value...just to sleep and leave morning of Jan 2.

It is oddly quiet here today :confused3

I worked out then ran off to Gymbo to set aside the holiday clothes for gymbucks redemption on Thursday. I am home now, but I really should clean...:rolleyes1

Echoooooooo

It sounds like a couple of us were on the phone to VIP this morning....:rolleyes1

Marvel -- did you ask for parade viewing at MK in case you are there through the parade? Availability goes quick on holidays.
