Hi Gals...

Mean teachers s*ck! My kids have had their share believe me! Mandy do not let that freak you out! I hate to say this but there are more mean kids than mean teachers.....I would like to state that I AM NOT ONE OF THEM I refuse to humiliate or embarrass a student infront of a class or their peers. Just so not right....how would a teacher like it if it happened to one of their own??? There is positive ways to handle classroom management/homework issues....I like encouragement, and praise! Makes those kiddos want to that much more.

Mandy...did ya see how many days til Office starts..WOOHOO...this is a good week for TV!

We had to put our air back on this morning..it was too hot in the house and I couldnt get it to cool off....I hate getting ready in the morning and sweating my buns off!

I thought of you all today at Target! They had a ton of "The Office" stuff in the $1 bins - pens, notepads, mugs,etc. I was laughing just looking at some of the sayings!! I need to set my Tivo for the first episode. I just set it to record 90210 for tommorow night! I used to love the old 90210 and sadly enough, I've found myself sucked into the new version!?! Don't make fun !!

And I'm all set for Grey's on Thursday too!!

Kristin: Good for you with the AP upgrade! I was telling DF the other night about how many reward dollars we would have. Big mistake. He was like "how much do you have to spend to get $1?" and you could see the wheels turning in his head. He siad "I thought you NEVER use that card?!?!" Oops. Actually, I use it to pay bills, etc., and pay it right off, but he was still mad. He won't be mad when we get free stuff with our reward points, though.

Deb, I love the pumpkin patch pictures too. When I have kids we will have some taken whether they like it or not, LOL

I have a head ache already and feel like a crab. Look out.

I hate my stupid Disney Visa. I have $150 in pts. whippee. It NEVER adds up like it should. I never get the special offers either re sign up to triple your points etc...that would have been nice. I'd have $450 and I would be smilin' at that Visa. As it is I would cut it up. I am starting to almost exclusively use my Starwood Amex. $1 = 1 pt. It's so much easier to rack up the points for stays.

Kristin that is great you're getting APs. Just wait. You'll be there every 3 months after that. That is totally what happened to us. And you're gonna discover SWA, too. Double whammy. I predict many trips in your upcoming future.

I love fall. It's sooo pretty. I bought a pumpkin the other day. Not one to carve, just to sit there outside. I will buy a few more yet but this one called to me. It was perfect.

Tomorrow is our 20th anniversary. DH took the day off. NOt sure what we're gonna do yet, but at least we'll go out to lunch....we'll play it by ear. I DID have a beautiful deluxe king concierge room booked at the GF though. That turned out to be a no go. Kids.

Hey gals!!!

I was a good girl and worked out BEFORE getting on the computer today I am off to snoop around Gymboree once the dog comes back in

Mandy- OMG!!!!!!!!!! Buy a test and put an end to your curiosity.

DH is still being a pistol about June. I broke down the numbers for him AGAIN and he is still being a dork about it. "I wanna see DS on his birthday too..." THEN COME WITH US!!! He would like to do Vegas with the SW credit, but I have NO DESIRE to go back. I don't gamble (and DH is HORRIBLE at it ). Plus with DS in school, that means we can only go in the summer when I can send him to my IL's (Hi, MIL if you are lurking Just post already!!!) I did remind him that going to Vegas for a few days blows his hole in his argument about not being able to take time off in the summer for WDW We'll see (but you know I always get my way )

For the baseball fans, GO WHITE SOX!!!!!! This series that starts tonight with the Twins will make or break the playoffs for either team. Boston seems to have a lock on the Wild Card so we HAVE to win the division to get to the playoffs (where we will probably be trounced by the Rays in the first round )

Chan ~ Congrats on 20 years tomorrow . Have a great day with your DH . Don't feel bad about the rewards thing....I never get the offers to sign up for double or triple rewards either . I think I have almost $400 in rewards but it would be nice to get double or triple points sometimes .


Mandy ~ How's the nausea??? I hope no surprise is on the way .


irisbud ~ Taking pumpkin patch pictures of little ones is the best.....they are so cute at those young ages . My two were fine with all the picture taking when they were little....it's just now that they're older they give me such a hard time because they can't be bothered . Although I DO get my way because DH gives them a hard time telling them that it's my thing and the least they can do is stand for a picture for their mom . But take as many pictures as you can as often as you can when those little ones come along because they grow up so fast and those pictures really make for great memories .

People, come on...where are you? I have been out and doing stuff all day and expected to come back here and have pages of fun reading to catch up on! WHAT happened????

Well.....Jojo quit jazz. She is taking ballet. It got to the point where she is just overwhelmed with crap after school. Something 4 out of 5 days and then a game on Saturday. She quit today. She outgrew the jazz shoes....that was it. To buy a new pair, or quit the class.......*sigh*

Hmmm......LUcy missed her bus again. Took me 1/2 hr to get to her school...it's a 5 minute drive...due to the construction!!! THEY ARE CRAZY. All the construction in a small area on main roads. DH said it's to save money on the equipment. IL is cheap. Makes sense. We are collecting (well not WE, my girls) are collecting the Madame Alexander McDs dolls. They are actually kinda cute Wizard of Oz. Got the tin man and scarecrow today and that made their afternoon....pathetic but true.

Wow....my life is boring. As I am writing this it's all coming clear to me.

Oh! Dh brought me home 2 dozen beautiful mixed pink shade roses. Aww.....good thing I got him a card. We are going to just have a nice relaxing day tomorrow.

The October trip saga continues. I am up.....I am down. I don't know.

If I think of something exciting I will definintely post. haha......

Mandy???....so......curious minds....did you buy a test? Stranger things have happened....... Maybe that's the miracle that happened at 9:22 am...from that angel chain email I received. NO fabulous miracle here...maybe it rubbed off on you.

Chan ~ Happy Anniversary . How nice of DH bringing you 2 dozen roses yesterday . I hope you have a great day celebrating your anniversary . You still haven't decided on your Oct trip???? We would be leaving tomorrow for 8 nights at the Poly . But I keep telling myself that I did the right thing with DS in high school this year....it would have been too much for him to miss 6 days right now . To lessen my sadness, I have been focusing on our July trip to the GF ......as well as trying to get my dates for our December 2009 trip . But I know how frustrating it is trying to decide whether or not to go....but if I was as close to my trip as you are and my trip was still booked, there's NO QUESTION that I WOULD be going . (I know...not helping, right ).


Hope everyone has a great day . Off to make sure DS is getting ready so I can take him to school .

BlueSkies ~ I know......making the right choice isn't easy and I know this was the right choice (atleast that's what I keep telling myself )....but it's still hard to think we'd be arriving at the Poly late tomorrow night and waking up there Friday morning . But I'll get through . Pretty quiet around here as well....but a beautiful, sunny day ....supposed to be 80 .


I've got a couple of questions for anyone who knows about annual passes . I figured I would ask you gals instead of starting a new thread on the resorts board . We've never gotten them but since we're going in July and then planning to go again December 2009 (and then again probably summer 2010), I was thinking getting annual passes would be the way to go . But I have 2 questions about them.....#1 - does the year start from the first day you use it and not from when you buy it (I would probably buy them ahead of time ). And #2 - if you have an annual pass, could you get the dining plan and not have to purchase a 1 day ticket? I thought I read somewhere that that was the case, but I could be mistaken. I know DVC members staying on points can get the DDP without having to buy the park ticket, but I wasn't sure if it worked the same way for annual passholders . TIA .

Hey all! Thanks for the anniversary wishes.

It was one of thsoe rough mornings where DD had 7 minutes to get up and ready and make the band bus. We did it, though!

Have to get little DD off to school and then I think DH and I are going out for bfast.

No, Deb. I am so iffy about this October trip. I am kinda thinking of postponing it til January for little DD's bday. We have never been over HER bday. I just don't have that happy gotta go to WDW feeling at this point. There are too many things that haven't fallen into place and with the kids' school schedules and other commitments I am kinda eh about the whole thing. It doesn't feel right. Part of the trip fun for me is the planning and anticipation. I don't have that this time. Every once in a while I get the urge, make a call to dining and try and book a favorite character meal but can't get it. Ugh. I do want to go to the Halloween party though.

About Annual Passes......we've had them for years. They start the day you enter the park. Going thru the scan activates them. If you purchase ahead of time, what you'll get (or what we've had in the past - not sure if it's changed) is a .....oh geeze DH talked to me and I lost my train of thought.....you get a certificate thingy...(brain bust)..and then have to turn it in at Guest Services at a park anyway. I have been buying and renewing my passes at Guest Services. The only reason to purchase ahead of time is to access the AP website....which stinks anyway...and barely works. I did hear you can get the dining plan with an AP much easier now. I hate the DDP so it's a nonissue for me so I don't know a whole lot about it.

They are good from the day you actually use them at the parks. You will get a voucher that you have to trade in for the actual passes at one of the Guest Services windows. We have always had to show our Drivers license as well for DH and I.

Now if you decide to renew then they have the exact same start day and month. That is why we never renew unless one expires in the middle of a trip!

We don't do the dining plan so I can't help with that one!

It was on the tip of my tongue (or fingers) and then DH talked to me.....and I lost it. Getting old..........

We don't renew either unless we are there at WDW when they expire. You don't get a great renewal discount at all.

Ok, It seems that I can post here from work, but not to my other favorite sites, so you guys get my full and undivided attention here until my computer gets back from repair.

What's taking so long on the Vaio repair you ask??? I asked hubby to mail it out for me and he FORGOT!!!!!!! It has been sitting in his car for 2 weeks and was not even mailed. He finally told me that when I asked him *** is taking so long and said I am going to call sony. GRRRR!! I was mad, but now it's just funny (...be glad I wasn't online when he told me...I would have been in trouble with the Dis Censors LOL )
