having a CM party friday....what to serve

Ok gang I never do home parties.....so here I am having a CM party and a pin meet at my house within a month of each other. I was wondering what do you ladies like to nibble on when croppin'?

I know the same ole' veggies and dip, cheese and crackers....yada yada...but how about something easy and good. Got anything fun you love to munch on?

Keep it simple though I have to work on Friday so I need to do it quick.

brownies? The house smells good after they bake, and they have those ones you can buy with the cut and slice cookies now that are already in a pan. Just bake em cut em up and plate em.

Peanut M&M's and Chex Mix always seem to be the most popular at my crops. M&M's especially because they're not messy or greasy so you don't have to worry about messing up your pages.

Here is a recipe that I take everywhere because everyones always asking for it. Funny thing is it's so easy that people always look dissappointed when I tell them what's in it because it's so simple, they have that look like "oh that's all?".

I usually let my daughter mix it up so it's now become...

Callie's Cheese dip

1 pack of cream cheese
1/2 to 2 Cups of shredded swiss
scant 1/4 cup of mayo (sometimes I don't use it at all)
as much horshradish as you can handle, start out with 1 T but I use more like 3 maybe 4

Mix all and top with almond slices. bake at 375 till bubbly and brown. Serve hot with Big wheat thins. YUMMY

How about a trail mix or snack mix that includes M&M's? Cookies are always a hit. Brownies. Popcorn or carmel corn.

Once I went to a crop where they had a beautiful fruit tray with a dip and little toothpicks. Have you ever made the fruit dip from a jar of marshmallow cream and a box of softened cream cheese? Just whip it together and eat. It's good with pineapple chunks, apples, pears, you name it. Actually, it'd be good with a spoon and no fruit at all.
