Having a blizzard

We started getting the snow yesterday around noon and it just stopped a little while ago. We got somewhere between 12 and 18 inches. Now the wind is starting so it is blowing around. We have warnings out until 12 today.
Syracuse......grrrrrrrrr
I want Disney NOW!!!!!!
My cousin just left for her Disney Cruise but I'm here looking at piles and piles of snow. Ohhhhh and it is 2 out! YUP... that's high for us since it has been under 0 the last couple days!!!!

I want be in Disney World!!! Stomp, stomp, whine, whine. Even the worst winter weather down there is nothing like this. I know it's been snowing since yesterday afternoon but its impossible to tell how much because we've also had high wind conditions much of the time. I actually have a pile of snow inside the deck door on the side of the house that faces the ocean. Talking to my mom in Upstate(lake effect country) NY yesterday, I said I must have brought the snow with me because we've had more in coastal ME than she's gotten at home this year.

Northern NJ and still snowing at 8:37 am. 14 degrees with windchill of 1 degree. Well at least I can pour over the recently released excursions for 8/13 California Cruise today. Maybe I'll make a Konk Kooler.

We are just getting it here at 9:40 am atlantic time in Halifax Nova Scotia, just started a few minutes ago (light snow, but windy). We are expecting to get really whipped by it today!

here in coastal CT it is a mess! started at exactly 12 noon yesterday, still snowing now. weather channel says it will continue to snow until around 1 this afternoon, and than the wind starts. it's kind of sad, my 2 yr old daughter wants to go out and play in it so bad, but it's just too cold for her! wishing our WDW trip wasn't 9 long months away (and our first ever disney cruise 17 months away!) :sunny:

anyone else in the middle of a blizzard.. i wish i was in disneyworld! :cloud9: i can dream tonight.

yep, right now we have probably about 2 feet or a little more than that, and still have about 9 hours left of snow and wind :earseek:

it was snowing when i woke up yesterday and still when i went to bed. so far today i've been afraid to open the curtains yet :earseek:

I'm outside of Philly and we have at least 12 inches, but it's blowing all around now & doesn't look like it's a nice time out there. We were out 2x yesterday to shovel, but it just blown back. Actually, I can't tell if it's snowing or it's blowing snow from the other drifts!?!?!?!?

Well, at least I'll be in front of the TV at 3:00 p.m. watching the EAGLES whomp the Falcons - then HELLLOOOOO Jacksonville!!!

I'm hoping we can finagle a snow day tomorrow out of this one and THIS time I'm staying home from work. After all these years of going to work through blizzards, etc. I've FINALLY realized - I've never received any thanks, commerative plaques, awards nothin' other than being the only fool to go to the office. So I'll sit home with the other smart people this time!!

Happy Snow Day!!
Jane

My poor neighbors house, the snow drifts go half way up it, covering most of the windows and their door, cant see their car either(its covered, I could see it earlier). :earseek:

This certainly has been a strange winter. Vermont usually gets alot of snow, but not this year. We had a whomping 6" storm a few weeks ago followed by 60 degree weather that melted it all. This blizzard only gave us about 10". Our state relies heavily on skiing and snowmobiling and the snowmobiling just isn't happening. This storm will only give us a small base. I know that this won't we a popular response, but I wish we were getting the 2+ feet.

it should stop in a few hours, my local weather forcast(the local national weather center is down the road), they are saying we should get about 3 feet.
boston is about 50 miles away, and has less snow.

may go out and 'play' in the snow and take some pictures.... :boat:

Here in central jersey it has been snowing since yesterday morning at 8. It is now 10:30 SUnday morning and it still coming down with heavy windgusts and blowing snow. DH just went out to get a new shovel since ours just broke and DS is waiting to call penney's to see if he has to go in. No schools closed yet but I expect mine to be closed tomorrow.

I wish I were in DW. Will just have to wait till August.
