anyone else in the middle of a blizzard.. i wish i was in disneyworld! :cloud9: i can dream tonight.

No blizzard here, but we are covered in ice. My SIL in Chicago called this afternoon (snowing there) and said the same thing, "wish we were at WDW".

Stay warm.

Tried to leave for WDW in a pre-blizzard and it didn't work out. Hope to see everyone on Monday.

It's only somewhat(relatively speaking) snowy and windy here now but the worst of the snow and the wind is supposed to hit after midnight. I'm used to snowfall measured in feet but not combined with the hurricane force winds. I just hope we don't lose power as I live on a narrow spit of land with Atlantic Ocean on one side and a large tidal pool on the other. My computer would work for about four hours but I would lose heat and more importantly internet. LOL

We've had the horizontal snow piling up all day. I think it's finally stopped. I was going to go outside today, but something kept stopping me. Oh, well, I can go outside in 3 weeks.

Kungaloosh!
Morticia.

It's been snowing here since late afternoon, but only of couple of inches in those 6 hours. We were hoping for a foot or more here. We have only had 6 inches all winter and that only lasted about a week. Being snowmobilers we either want a ton of snow or a trip to DW. Since we can't go to DW until October we might as well get snow.

We officially have 12.1 inches of snow and it's -9º with the windchill BRR I so want to be in WDW right now...

Getting slammed right now and since noon today here in southeastern CT! So goes life in New England...The news channels are referring to this storm as "Winter Wallop"...Two storms converging on us at once...So far, about 10" and being warned to expect 15"-30" before it ends tomorrow! Disney...We Want Disney!!! 99 days and counting!!!!!!!! :flower1:

crzy snow here, its brutal driving in. im hoping for a day off from school monday :) that'd be nice. btw im in nj.

I'm in central NJ... we have over a foot of snow, and it's supposed to keep coming down until tomorrow am!!! I wish I was in WDW!

We just got home last night after a 6 day stay and left the 70 degree weather for this! At least we didnt get stuck in an airport like many this weekend will. We only have about 8 inches of snow thus far, which is pretty much for down here, but not a lot compared to all of you. Plenty to mess things up with the roads though, especially since everyoe seems to freak out with any accumulation.

We got slammed here in the NW 'burbs of Chicago with 12" of the powdery white stuff, followed by 30+ MPH winds to blow it all over the place. Temps will be in the sub zero category with the wind chill.

Starting on Monday, the temps will be in the mid 30's, so it'll all start to melt causing icy conditions over nights for the week. :headache:

We left Orlando this morning to return home via Midway airport in Chicago. We flew right into the horrible weather and we were in a holding pattern for 2 hours over Chicago waiting for visability to improve. Finally it did. Funny thing happend though--Pilot told us he needed to go to Rockford Airport to refuel when we were holding. We had really rough flying for a bit and then landed. Flight attendant said we landed in Rockford and had to stay in our seats while we got fuel. A guy on the plane said, "this isn't Rockford, it's Midway!!" Flight attendant said, "Sir, we are in Rockford" and then looked out the window. She then announced that we have landed at Midway. The whole plane cheered! I guess the captain was too busy flying the plane to let the flight attendants know. It's nice to be home but missing WDW!!

That's funny!

It's been snowing here since about 1 and we are supposed to get between 12-18". I know there are several inches (probably 7) but I'm not venturing out to check. My DH was called out to plow this afternoon so we probably won't see him again until Sun afternoon (no, it wasn't him that hit your mailbox..heehee) It stinks that he's stuck working but all the overtime is helping pay for our trip this fall :cool1:

We got back Tuesday night to 7 degrees and now this. At this time we have zero visibility, 8" of snow, wind gusts to 50mph and not an end in sight. Now because of it, I'm stuck dispatching on a double and then most likely manning a fire station when I get done at 7:30.

I want to go back to FL NOW!

It's now just past 7 a.m. and it's STILL snow. A second storm is hitting us harder than the first, this time coming off the ocean with blizzard conditions. DH has been out plowing since yesterday morning and looks like I won't see much of him today either. The ONLY good thing to come of this will be the extra $ we can save towards vacation. And the poor kids - the snow is very powdery. It won't stick to make a snowman, not even a snow ball. And, it's a weekend, so they don't even get a day off from school. As the kids say, "what a waste of a good snow storm"
