Ok everyone, I will thank you in advance...

As our trip gets closer I start to have second thoughts about our room at the SpringHill Suites ($93 a night.. free breakfast.. nice location and close to WDW). It sounds great, and everyone seems to have positive things to say about it. So here's the deal:

We are going with 5 people, adults for all intensive purposes. We are really looking for a suite, but some have said that the SpringHill suites are not really that large. We will spend most of the time in the parks anyway, but would like to have a little breathing room. That said the Residence Inn LBV looks really appealing as do the Grand Villas through a great hotel kingdom rate. Please put my concerns at ease.. or warn me if we are going to be unhappy. I think I am really thinking SpringHill vs Residence.. with the GV's on the border... Is the Residence further away than the Marriott Village?

I'll be back later with something new to worry about..:p

I like the Springhill Suites with our family of 4 including two toddlers, but I don't think I would want to do 5 adults in it. It is not a true suite in the sense of having separate walled off rooms. There is one main room separated by like a half wall to a sitting area with a fold out couch. It does have a small refrigerator, sink, wet bar which is nice. The breakfast is nice and it is a relatively new chain, so all the ones I have been at are well maintained.

If you go with it, make sure to get the two double bed configuration which will give you more room than the king size bed configuration. You will sleep two per bed with one on the sofa.

If you prefer a true suite with individual rooms then you will prefer the 2 bedroom suite at the RI.

I would also suggest the RI or the Villas with that many adults.

I have stayed at the RI LBV, and it is spacious. l king, 2 queen, and l pullout, kitchen lr and free hot breakfast.

Going rack rate is usally $169, but maybe you can get a AAA discount.

I am now thinking I may do a last minute switch-a-roo; if there's avaliability and such...

Is the RI LBV fairly close to WDW property as well?

Hi,

The RI is at the far end of Palm Parkways which is a nice tree lined street with many hotels.

The RI is a bit further out by itself than most of the other hotels,by a half mile maybe.

Maybe 3-4 min drive to Crossroads area depending on traffic.

Thanks for the replies.. I think I'll stick with what I got..We'll be at Disney so I'm sure we'll have a great time!

Maybe next time I will try RI or something else, for now I'm happy with what I had planned..
