anyone still watching?
I'm seriously the only one, aren't I? hehehe

Anyway - last night was the last night of the makeovers and the "most unusual pageant ever devised" is on next Monday (8-10pm)

Anyway, one of the women dropped out last night before her reveal, so the other woman moved forward by default.

Then they showed all the women who DIDN'T make it to the pageant and how they wre bringing 2 back for wild-card positions (one to be IN the pageant the other as an alternate)

are you with me so far?

Anyway - point of my post - when they were showing all the other women made over...did anyone else notice this? They all look rather similar to each other. I'm not talking about "hi, I've obviously had some work done"...I mean some of them looked like SISTERS they looked so similar.

I've watched it off & on. Didn't see it last night, though.

What a strange show! I heard on ER (or similar) that the "therpist" got her "degree" from some mail away organization......

For the most part, I think the women looked just fine before! Nothing that a few hair/makeup lessons wouldn't be enough!

I co-worker of mine is really bumed that the age cut off for the Swan II is 45 (she's 47).

yep - I've seen more dramatic transformations on TLC's What Not to Wear.

However one woman on The Swan has some really bad teeth and they were able to give her a great (but fake looking IMO) smile.

I'm trying to talk myself out of sending in a tape for Swan 2(in my case it's adult acne)

stopped watching after my ent surgeon pointed out that these ladies would be on a show called silicone extraction in a cpl years, that it appeared to him they were doing cookie cutter:( my words not his) surgerys that reallywerre unnessecary and could be damaging.

I've watched it off and on. I agree some of them look quite similar and I also think the teeth on last nights look too long and that is what makes it look fake-- although it is an improvement to her old teeth.

I looked up the credentials of the therapist and they seem genuine, although California Coast University is a distance learning program for mid-career adults.

Interesting... I just clicked on California Coast University degree programs and they don't list a Ph.D program. Of course, it could be that they used to offer one.

I watched it for the first time last night and came to the conclusion that it is one of the worst shows I've ever seen. Even after their "transformation" the women all looked like something wasn't quite right. The other thing I didn't care for is that they all looked so sleazy (IMHO). My husband and I discussed it and felt that the show just gives the contestants false hopes. They will still go home to the crappy apartment, crappy boyfriend, etc. Hopefully they really do have a good support system to help them overcome what put them in their current evironments to start with.
