I'm jealous of you people needing heat! We are still hot here in the desert, was 98 at 11 this morning, don't know how hot it got. We don't even HAVE a heater in our villa!
Ours has been on for a week, but we have an outside wood furnace, so I can turn the heat up and not feel guilty! We got ourselves off the oil last year--and we're so glad we did!
No, not yet. It hasn't really gotten that cold in Southeastern PA yet. It has been a bit damp this past week but we just put on extra clothes. I like to sleep in a cold house too!
We set our thermostat for the low 60's anyway, so even if I turned it on, it wouldn't run. I keep a cold house because gas costs are so ridiculous.
Yes-we've had ours on for about a week. 68 when home, then down to 60 when we leave for work. We have a propane/wood furnace and locked in our propane at 1.79 last July. Whew-sure glad we did! We use the wood when it gets really cold-January or February.
We were in beautiful sunny Florida on tuesday in the 90 degree weather (my daughter was actually surfing in Typhoon lagoon) and we flew home tuesday night and had to put the heat on as its so cold and rainy here in New York!
I wish. I'm sitting here at work freezing. It's 55 degrees and my boss will throw a fit if I turn the heat on. He had the CENTRAL AIR on yesterday afternoon. I thought I'd curl up and freeze to death. The kicker is he left it on overnight, so now it's reaaaallly cold in here. I turned it off as soon as I came in this morning. I'd love to turn the heat on.
At home I only have the bathroom heat on so it's nice and toasty in the morning for showers.
not yet! I am trying to hold on to the last possible moment but with a newborn, i can't hold out much longer, especially around bath time. i was changing her earlier and the bottom lip was trembling.
