Have you used Tour Guide Mike?

If you have 2 trips planned in one year, do you sign up 2 times? I plan to go in May and December and would like to work on both itineraries now.

I am a TGM subscriber and I really think it is an outstanding value. I have been to WDW many times, have stayed on-site & off-site, visited as a child and as an adult, been with kids and without. I am a compulsive planner, so I've read a number of guide books cover to cover, my favorite of which are the Unofficial Guide and Walt Disney World with Kids. I also am quite familiar with many of the great websites out there, including wdwinfo and allearsnet.

In short, TGM is my favorite because his personal philosophy is consistent with that of my family. His advice is very sensible, but a lot of it isn't as you might expect. As a subscriber, I am unable to go into details, but I can tell you that I've been consistently pleased ever since I decided to sign up.

He offers a discount if you renew within a year. He also has a lower price if you renew twice in a year.

Send him an e-mail for the rates.

In answer to Tarheeltink, I used TGM for trip in December and using it again for trip in June. If you don't find what you need on the site it is because something is changing and Mike does not post it until it is exactly right and up do date. I keep reading conflicting info on other web sites but know when it comes up on my TGM AVP it will be correct and I can count on it.
You will learn quickly upon signing up for your own AVP just how much you get for the small fee he charges. Actually costs less than most books. And the site is updated almost daily. If you have any questions a very friendly forum of TGM'ers will be glad to answer you as will Mike himself. Come join us.

I think why 'us' tgm'ers love the AVP is because its not just a run here and do that sorta approach. I know many TGM users have said that in their previous posts -- but I don't think we have ever explained why and how.

TGM tells you how to plan the perfect Disney VACATION. Its not about riding the very most number of rides at one park. He tells you how to plan perfect mornings, how to plan perfect evenings, how to plan perfect meals on site. He tells you how to pick the perfect Disney hotel using not just budget or hotel ammenities, but also the age group of your party, the location of the hotel and many other factors too.

By telling you 'why' and how crowds work at Disney world, YOU can easily modify any plans in the park on the fly. A lot of us enjoy planning, (at least I do) but when it comes down to the actual day in the MK, there are so many variables that can make the 'master plan' go right out the window. Suzy see's Cinderella and must stop to see her, Johnny has to go to the bathroom ten times, the weather turns rainy, whatever,, --it doesn't matter, because you know exactly how to modify and change to still have the most fun, never wait more then 5-10 minutes for a ride, and take advantage of those magic disney moments -- not dragging a sobbing suzy saying 'honey, no cinderella today -- you need to wait til thursday.

I also love tgm because either he or his tourguides appear to be in the parks every single day -- so he is always on top of what is happening at Disney right now. And I agree with grandmabarb, he only ever posts what is fact -- not what is thought to be fact. Can I tell you something -- do you know how nice it is to have a source of information that is accurate and you can depend on it? And he is a real presence on his private forums, answering questions and giving the facts -- I seriously don't know how he does it all.

TourGuideMIKE runs a VIP service, called MichaelsVIP's, where people spend THOUSANDS of dollars a DAY for his expertise. He has said everything he knows and uses for his VIPS is on his site, so you can give yourself the same kind of vacation.

And, its been said before, No, I don't work for TourguideMIKE, but I sure would love to!

I'm another fan of Tour Guide Mike. I used him for our last trip and it made the trip wonderful. My DH is not a patient man and TGM helped me avoid lines that might have ruined the trip. I think alot of the information he gives you will last for future trips so you might not have to do it everyt time you go.

If you have a lot of time to go through all the trip reports on this site and read guidbooks, etc., then maybe you won't need it. But the $22 or reduced price through another site as listed by another poster will save you a lot of time and get you very valuable information.

You guys have me convinced to check it out. I'm worried about our upcoming trip b/c it's a spring break week and we've never been during a crowded time before. Plus with the new EMH and my PS time coming up, I'm getting nervous about making decisions with little info!!

I feel I should add my .02 re: TGM. I'm a former DS CM with I've lost count of how many trips to the World. This spring I am taking my DS and her family for their first trip to WDW. I want everything to be *perfect* and with a 5 and 8 year old, need to pay special attention to crowd levels and attraction wait times. I do own every guidebook (like many, I am an obsessive planner). I signed up for TGM in November and couldn't be more pleased. I am totally impressed with the depth and breadth of information. I've already found tips and suggestions that will enhance the quality of our vacation. Honestly, I would be happy to just pay a yearly renewal if he offered one, as I can't imagine being without access to this information on any subsequent trips. This is not to say there is not good information in the other guidebooks or online; I use all of the resources. I can just say, TGM's information is very comprehensive and offers a different approach than anything else out there.

If you book a package costing over $2000.00 with "Magic For Less Travel",
They will give you a free subscription to TGM.

Questions about "Magic for Less Travel": do they book things like tickets etc. for you if you are offsite? Do they include rental cars? How about making PSs? Are they online and available to anyone?

Just wondering for those who have requested a refund, how did you guys go about it? Did you e-mail him directly or is there a place on the site that allows you to do it.. I just signed up right now but considering I'm leaving for Orlando on FRIDAY, i don't think i would get the most of my money after reading all the articles..

ACK!
