Have you used Priceline to book a resort?

Yes and no. I know how Priceline Express Deals work. For the most part it is easy to figure out which hotel you will end up with and in this case, that was the case! It showed the hotel as a 3.5 star, 7plus rating, 220 a night, with 50% off. There was only one hotel that met all of those things...Coronado Springs and the price was dead on. Easy!

Where did you get the 50% off coupon?

Oh, you have no idea how many times a day I have to argue with people that complain about bed types because they book through third parties.

Not Priceline, but do you think if I booked a specific bed type through Expedia at Bonnet Creek Grand, I will still get that type?

Right. I booked on Priceline Express deals last night. My booking rate was $95 and PL told me that was "56% off" because the room was normally $218. I ended up with CBR, which was listed at $216.

No concerns, no regrets. I was going to stay offsite but it puts it around what I was planning to pay for hotel + car and I'm much happier staying onsite.

ETA: I use Hotwire or PL for almost all of my non-Disney travel, so I feel very comfortable with the model. YMMV.

Thanks! I looked last night and they had CBR for $206 a night (it fits all the things under Express deal so I assume it's CBR), where they have it to book directly for $167 a night. Just checking all our options to try and get the cheapest rate.

My Disney confirmation number was on my Priceline receipt that I got instantly. I added it to MyDisneyExperience right away, but did call just to confirm. Was transferred to Wholesale bookings and all is well. They were open to giving us a two bed room, but wouldn't guarantee it of course. If we end up with a King, I am not stressed for this trip

I just booked for April 18th with Priceline. I did the express deal and got Caribbean beach(thanks to all the tips on here), however, I cannot link it to my Disney account. I got a priceline reservations number, a hotel number and then did a chat to get a Disney number, but none of the numbers will work to link on my account. The rep on the chat told me to call, which I will do tomorrow since it is so late here now. But, if you have any insights, I will be happy to hear them.

It can take up to 24-48 hours for the reservation to "show up" in Disney's system to be able to link to MDE.

oh, okay thanks! Do you think the hotel confirmation number they gave me on my itinerary will work? I thought it had to be a number beginning with a 4 and 12 digits long. On my chat she gave me a number that began with an "a" and had a mix of numbers and letters. Didn't seem right to me. I think Orbitz usually gives a 12 digit number beginning with a 4 when you call. I haven't done that yet for my June trip reservations. Anyway, I am sure it will all work out. Since it's 2 weeks out, I am a bit more anxious. :)

My confirmation number for the Swan starts with a 9 and only has nine digits. I did try to link it right away and it didn't work. I then waited 24 hours before trying to link it again to my MDE and it worked just fine then.

The number on your confirmation email should work. That's the one I used.

You'll get the specific room type you book, which is usually the problem. People will book through third parties and just look at and book the cheapest rate, or not know what the room type descriptions mean and expect the room type they didn't book when checking in. A lot of the outsourced agents at Expedia will also give false information when the customer calls since they deal with tens of thousands of different resorts. They will label rooms as "double" implying double beds, when they mean a double occupancy with one bed.

To double check, I would give it a couple days as it takes a while depending on the website you use and call the resort to confirm once it's in their system.

Disney changed their reservation system a while back and all of the numbers are different. That said... mine won't link yet either. I'll prob give it a day or so and then call.

YES, it did work. I was able to link yesterday afternoon. Thank you!

Just wanted to update how my 3 reservations using Priceline Express Deals for Disney hotels worked out. GREAT! All three I was able to get two queen beds with no issues. All three were booked as King bed rooms, but when I called and asked to be switched to 2 queens and add the 3rd guest, no issues at all! Disney was so awesome about it. And two of these reservations were during Spring Break!

I took a look at Priceline and figured out I could get the Dolphin on Thanksgiving Day for $86! I booked it and it was indeed the Dolphin, I think that's a great price!!!
We also got Dolphin over Spring Break last week for $88! Of course you pay an extra almost $30 for the resort fee and $20 to self Park and a Resort Fee for every stinking thing you buy there! ugh!

Thanks for the update, nothing looks promising for my dates in July. Will look when it gets closer.

I still feel like it's a really good deal even with the fees.

We will be there Nov.23rd to 25th. 2 nights.

Priceline total with resort fee and parking $302.24

Starwood website, lowest rate I could get was $656.28 total with all fees.

For those who have successfully booked Disney resorts with Priceline express deals, about how far out from your trip did you find the deals? Thanks!
