Thank you John, Towncrier, for taking all of the private, free time to collect everyone's DISboard nickname and real first name and make a limegreen button for all of us that will be meeting each other during the first week of December.
The time just to find who is going must have taken a very long time to look through all the threads and posts.
You know that John does not have an official list of who is going.
And not everyone posts a lot like we do.
And not everyone posts that they are going to be at WDW,
And not everyone posts their real first name.
This will be a "Generic" (no "DIS" symbols) button. It will be lime-green(so that other DISers might recognize you), and have your name that you are know for here and your real first name.
Cool, John. That beats a ribbon anyday...lol.
Also, please know that he can't take any more requests if you haven't already posted or never posted here on the DIS boards. He does have a life...lol.
Can you imagine all the time and effort that it took to collect all the names when no one volunteered the information.
Can you imagine all the personal free time that John is spending trying to make all these buttons. Each button unique with a different name. None are the same. And the money that it takes to print over a 139 buttons.
But the time is really the main problem.
Towncrier is doing this out of the goodness of his heart.
Did you hear me?
So thank him already.
And Towncrier will be at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Muscical Review on Tuesday evening on December 3, 2002.
I don't know how he will really hand them out, but he will probably play it by ear since we won't be having an opening reception nor breakfast.
Wednesday morning he will be at te Newbie DIS mini-meet at the Boardwalk Spoodles restaurant, and that night he may be at the Jellyrolls DIS mini-meet.
I may be speaking out of line, but I will anyway, because John is my friend.
John is here to enjoy Walt Disney World like you. I don't think that he would would want to wait at a table at the registration to hand out these buttons when he could be enjoying eating a nice dinner with friends and enjoying Walt Disney World. Does that make sense? He is staying at the Beach and Yacht Club and said maybe he might designate a place to hand them out. Some others will volunteer some time to do this, too, I think. I will be happy to help out John.
O.K., maybe I'm wrong.
I guess maybe that you could come where he might be instead of him going where all 139 of us might be...lol.
Thank you John.
Sincerely, Ray
