We love the Wilderness Lodge and have a trip booked to stay there in February. It's been a few years since we've stayed there, so I'd like to hear from anyone who's stayed there recently. When were the rooms last refurbished? Also, we are excited to try the new restaurant…...any tips on that? Would love any advice on making the most of our stay!

Thanks everyone!!

Following... we are headed home to WL in April. Last stay was June/July 2015.

Just about everything you need to know is on page #1 of this awesome thread.

We ate lunch at Geyser Point and loved it! So relaxing and beautiful scenery. The food was really good too. We had the Bison cheeseburger (delicious!) and the kids had the Finger Food Sampler - which was essentially a deconstructed turkey sandwich. We snuck a few bites of theirs and it was so good!

We have stayed twice this year. In April we did the resort side for several nights. Last week we stayed in one of the new Villa studios, technically called Copper Creek, in the area converted over from regular rooms
Loved both stays
Geyser Point is a favorite. We tried several items in April and went back last week and it was just as good
They've redone RF too but we did not dine there

We had dinner at Geyser Point in September. I really enjoyed it. I love the open atmosphere. I will say that I was surprised at the limited seating, but in February, that might not matter. Have a great time.

I am here now for a 1 night post cruise stay.
We ate at geyser point while waiting for our room ready text. It was great. We had the wings and loaded waffle fries, and chicken sandwich. We are going back for dinner. Ha!
I am annoyed the kid splash area is broken. That is half the reason I booked here. Trying to entertain my toddler for 2 days is no easy feat. If they had sent a courtesy email about it, I would've chosen a different resort.
There are construction walls going up around the salon next to the pool. No clue what they are about to start.
It is a nice resort. Our first stay here. We usually prefer yc/BC. We do like this though, and willcome back.

I stayed BRV last June and again in May, as well as WL in May. The rooms at WL seem to need an update, I think I heard it is coming soon, but nothing was to bad. We had a deluxe room on the first floor in May and it was very nice, no stains, no problems with walls or furniture, it was very nice. Maybe I'm just thinking it needs updating due to so many things going to white beds to brighten up the room and WL just do not have bright rooms. As for the grounds, the new pool was great, about two years old now, and in July they opened the new pool over at BRV that is ready for guest. The Geyser restaraunts is great, very good food. This is by far our favorite place, and we want to go there in Jan but the price is just to much so we are going to POFQ.

LOVE WL - stayed there in June. The rooms are a little older and not too big - but the aesthetics are great. Geyser Point is an awesome spot. We hung out there a lot, even stayed late watching NBA finals and chatting with the bartenders.

Heading back in November and cant wait to spend even more time at the resort. Roaring Fork was closed in June and I'm looking forward to trying it out!

Can't thank you all enough - especially those of you who have stayed at WL recently or are there right now!!!

Stayed memorial day week, I have no other Disney properties to compare it to as this was our first but it was fantastic. We had a pool view bunk bed room which you could tell had its issues. The furnishings look a bit worn and will probably have an update coming now that the CC villa construction is done. Still would be my first pick for me and just my husband and kids.
Staying at Poly this next year just for monorail ease and my handicapped father in law. We tried WL but didnt have what we needed for our dates :(
