I started abouut 2 weeks ago. Got my Easter stuff up too.

I don't know if you'd call it spring cleaning, but I did finally unpack the rest of my boxes that were stacked 4 high and 6 deep in the garage for the last 2 years since I moved to CA! It was a chain reaction: I had to make room in the garage so I could clean out DH's "office". Had to clean out the office to paint it, clean the carpet, and re-purpose it as a shared office/baby space. Had to turn it into shared baby space because I got a job as a nanny for my friend's baby, and we decided that I'd watch the baby at my house.

So I finally got the office re-done, but now the garage is a mess again from moving all of DH's stuff out there! The funny thing is that he's been complaining for the last 2 years about all of my "junk" taking up the garage space. Well, now 75% of the "junk" in the garage is HIS! Oh well. Still more cleaning to do. Now that I've tackled the worst room in the house (the office was terrifying - I never went in there unless it was absolutely necessary), I'm inspired to re-organize and deep clean every other room. We'll see how long THAT inspiration lasts!

I say to myself every week that this weekend we will not do ANYTHING until this house is cleaned! What have we done each and every weekend for the past 2 months..... GONE GO TO WDW at least one day.

This weekend for sure... I can't stand it anymore!

I'm about to call "Kim and Aggie" from "How Clean is Your House" DD9 says - Mom our house is not that bad! Our kitchen and bathrooms aren't gross!!!!

. It feels so good to throw stuff away, and even better to donate it or put it in the recycling cart. My recycling cart is full for this week (mostly cardboard boxes I've been storing "just in case" in a room in the attic ), and it will be full again next week when I get rid of the rest of the boxes . And I have a bunch of other stuff ready to put out at the curb on our "bulky trash" week.

I can't start until my dh leaves for New Mexico. He'll be gone for 9 months so I think I have time to go from room to room. I'm also planning to decorate our master bedroom (paint, new bedding and curtains). This way he can't complain that its all girly girly.

The house will be in a different shape when he gets back but shssss don't tell him hes a pack rat!!!

No spring cleaning here in the South until after pollen season!!!! Plus, no cleaning until my garage and sunroom addition are finished. There's so much dirt and dust flying around my house, I'm just keeping the main dust and dog hair under control until it gets finished.

But I am cleaning out the attics and playroom. So far I've almost finished one of the attics, and thrown away about 18 - 20 bags of garbage. It feels wonderful!!!! Need to get it done before it gets too hot to be up there!!!!
