Have you started decorating for Halloween/Fall yet?

Tonight we put up our Halloween decorations and we will put up our Department 56 Halloween over the weekend.

I just love our house from now until that dreadful time in January when we put away Christmas decorations. The house seems so nice and cozy but the other 8 1/2 months of the year its so boring.

I read the title of this thread and thought "well I have my fall decorations up but isn't it kind of early for Halloween?"

Then realized we are already at Sept. 20 and I haven't even bought decorations, decided on costumes I better get busy!

To a certain degree...I have out my fall-scented candles and one of them has a Bath & Body Works shade that's got fall leaves on it. I also carved a foam pumpkin using a Disney template that I'm gonna get fired up as soon as it's October, probably.

I guess I just don't do too much for Halloween, really...Christmas is when I go all out.

My Dh has started building for our display. Monday I think he will get out and start setting it up and buiding more stuff. We are doing POTC as our theme this year complete with a boat, jail, racks etc. We love Halloween!

We have decorated the inside of the house, but will wait with the outside, since we still need to mow. Don't want to move decorations or run over cords.

My autumn flag & mini flag are out, as is my autumn door plaque. Halloween will wait a bit. I like to have a chance to show my autumn decor, and I go right from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas (to Valentines! ) so I like to space them out a bit so they all get a chance in the rotation.

No way. It's still in the high 70's low 80's here, I'm still in summer mode.

I usually don't put out any holiday decorations until 1 or 2 weeks (at the most) before the holiday. As for fall...I wish it would just stay away because then winter is coming close behind it and I do not want any part of colder weather.

I cling to summer as long as possible. Not a single fall or Halloween decoration will be seen at my house until mid October.

Only because my flower gardens do not look so good anymore & I'm having a party this weekend. I pulled out some pumkins & bought fall leaves everything for the party. I figured why fight it.

We're in a new development. I noticed some of the neighbors have put out scarecrow, Halloween, Fall decorations. Other than a huge pot of mums by the front door, I don't want to decorate until October arrives. Thirty one days of Halloween decor is plenty for me.

Fall decorations are going up this weekend followed closely by Halloween decorations. Living in Florida its hard decorating for Fall and Halloween when it's 90 degress out. So I go all out for Fall with leaves and decorations all around my house. At least inside it will feel like fall.

I'm so glad people have started decorating for Halloween. I've been holding out, but this morning I noticed one of my neighbors had their Halloween-looking pumpkins out so I'll get started this weekend. I've been dying to put out this cute banner I got at Pottery Barn. A splurge for me since I usually buy holiday stuff after the holiday when it's on sale and hold it for next year. Wow that sounds great!

Frog has built things for Halloween mostly for local fundraiser Haunted House. He's built a guillotine, a rack, a gallows, crypts and coffins just all kinds of stuff. I love Halloween. I wanted to put my decorations out a week ago but Frog said it was too early Think he is delusional.

I put all of my decorations up last weekend, i know it's alittle early but we LOVE Halloween, and I feel the decorations go up and come right back down , so we decorate early. I havn't got pumkins and cornstalks yet though, probably next weekend.
