Have you sold your DVC only to buy again later?

Just wondering if anyone has sold their DVC contract and ended up buying into DVC again later in life?

We sold a few years ago--I miss it! One thing I loved was that I didn't feel I lost any money when I sold it. We had used it quite a bit and sold for a very fair price.

Hoping to one day buy again!

Our youngest was going to start a $45,000 a year college and thought we would not be able to afford both. the following year we rented points and stayed at what was our home resort, OKW, which we LOVE. and DH missed it so much I asked if we could buy some points. And he said YES. We don't own as much as we originally did but we now know we could never go without DVC. We originally joined, or bought is a better word, back in 1992-1993 time frame, yea one of the originals with the free park tickets, etc. My kids even love it. My youngest graduated from college this May and what did she want, a quick trip down to DVC, no parks, etc, just to lay by the pool, enjoy some of the restaurants and unwind before the REAL world came her way. It was the best investment we ever made. I am now waiting since college tuition is out of the way:banana: to buy more points:goodvibes. DH loves BLT and I want Hawaii (sorry but Disney is second to Hawaii) so we shall see what the next few years bring.:cloud9:

We sold earlier this year because there was a chance DH was going to lose his job, and we couldn't justify holding on to such a luxury. Once we're past the job cuts, we'll buy back in again. We got enough vacations out of it that we "broke even", but I still wish we hadn't sold it. Of course, that's me talking when I know DH's job is probably safe. I certainly felt differently when we thought our world was falling apart.

I feel lost without my DVC
