Okay so character hunters, have you seen these characters in the parks? I've seen these on lists all over on the net but have never seen them personally (unless maybe for MNSSHP) ...I understand a lot of them are rare, some don't sign, and some ONLY come out for special events... so I'm curious...
who have you seen,
where did you see them,
(and if you've seen them, do you know how rare/often they make appearances),
do they do Meet and Greets,
do they sign, etc...

Thanks to anyone and EVERYONE who answers this for me (It will gauge my character hunting next month MUCH better!)

I saw Robin Hood at Epcot when they have the bus that drives aorund and you meet and greet the characters. Not sure what they call it.

I believe Dumbo makes appearances now. I saw a picture of him somewhere on these boards. He was VERY cute. I would assume it would be around his attraction.

We saw Br'er Fox, & Br'er Bear at Town Square.

We saw Rabbit for the first time in Dec at Epcot. He was by the side of Journey into Imagination. We were really surprised!

Max - yes, a few times, 1 x at Chef Mickeys (probably signs)
Kida/Milo - no
Mushu - yes, at Animal Kingdom (probably signs)
Ping (Mulan) - no, just Mulan
Rabbit - no
Robin Hood - yes, many times, Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom, got autograph
Scrooge Mcduck - no
Shang - no
Big Bad Wolf - maybe
Br'er Fox - no
Br'er Bear - no
Frollo - no
Gaston - no
Gold Dust Pete - no
Maleficent - I think so
Stromboli - yes, MGM
Shan-Yu - no
Esmeralda - no
Phoebus - no
Quasimodo - I think so
Bullseye - yes at the Round Up in Magic Kingdom (Diamond Horse Shoe), no autograph (I think)
Darkwing Duck - yes, Magic Kingdom, got autograph
Dumbo - no

We met the Fairy Godmother in the lobby of CRT. She was very nice and spent a lot of time talking with my DD.

My Wife and Myself got our pictures taken with Jiminy Crickett a few years ago at MGM. It is the only time we have ever seen him out anywhere.

We also saw Jiminy Cricket at MGM (October 2004). He was across from the Hat with Stitch, Tigger and Chip N Dale. I was ecstatic! It might have actually been a she since it was about 3 inches taller than my smallish 10 year old! Also saw Esmerelda at MNSSHP with Hunchback. Practially no line since a lot of the kids were scared of him!

Last time we went it was beginning of October 2003. At the MNSSHP party we saw alot of villians that we never have seen or knew did meet and greets at DL, so we were pretty excited to see them at WDW. We saw Frollo both at the party and at MK main hub in front of the castle. Also at the party we saw Malificent (that was a for us!), Stromboli, Big bad Wolf, Sherriff of Nottingham, Mayor Radcliffe, and a ton of others...they all signed autographs.
We saw the White Rabbit where the other poster mentioned in toon town, and Gaston we actuallly saw for a character breakfast show in DL called Breakfast with Minnie or something like that in the Paradise Pier Hotel. Him and Belle and Merlin all sang songs and did a little skit, it was great!! They signed and took pictures and went around. It is my favorite character bfast because of that. Sorry I know that doesn't help at WDW, but we have gotten pictures with him...lol
I have seen other people's pictures with Mushu, Esmerelda and Quasimodo (But I only saw pics of him from MNSSHP), and alot of others you mentioned. I noticed the busier season it is, the more different characters they have out! Good luck!

Bo Peep: I've only seem her doing meet-and-greets once on the New York Street back in 1997. Since then, I've only seem her in the MGM Parade
Jiminy Cricket: Once at Italy in EPCOT
Max: I've seen him at the Barstormer and Town Square at MK (also the Character Social, but they don't do that meet-and-greet anymore since Cinderellabration started). AT EPCOT, I saw him on the character bus once
Kida/Milo: Have not seen Kida since the movie first came out
Mushu: Entrance to AK
Ping (Mulan): At MGM on Hollywood Boulevard
Robin Hood: Town Square at MK and Character Bus at EPCOT
Scrooge Mcduck: Town Square at Christmastime (this was back in 1998 though)
Shang: Hollywood Boulevard at MGM
Big Bad Wolf: Have not seem him since 1994. He was on Mickey Ave. at MGM
Br'er Bear: Near Spash Mountain exit
Frollo: Hollywood Boulevard at MGM
Maleficent: At the old Fantasyland Character Festival which is now gone
Shan-Yu: China at EPCOT back in 1999 or 2000

We are not character hunters, if we see them, we stop unless we're enroute to something scheduled. So, if we've seen them, they shouldn't be too hard to find!
