Have you seen the new Cricut Jukebox?!

The basic idea here is that it lets you plug up to 6 cartridges in at one time. That is great for those of us who use Design Studio and make cuts using multiple cartridges. Also kind of a neat way to store your cartridges so that they are usable without really ever having to get them out of their boxes again. Also, if purchase multiple units, you can hook them together so that basically all of your cartridges could be plugged in at one time!

These will retail for $89, but I've heard that some places online may already have them or are doing pre-orders for around $59.

I have to investigate this. I don't have Design Studio, but a lot of times the stuff I'm making requires several carts....does that mean I can leave the machine on and just switch overlays instead of forever turning the machine on and off to switch carts?

According to Provo Craft, you no longer have to change cartridges from one to another to finish your project. The Cricut Jukebox lets you plug 6 cartridges in at the same time. The Jukebox plugs into the port on your Cricut that you normally insert your single cartridge. You are able to connect multiple Jukebox's in order to accomodate all of your cartridges at the same time.

This works with both the Original Cricut and the Cricut Expression.

If you use Cricut Design Studio and use images from different cartridges how do you cut the image and deal with 2 different cartridges? It sounds like the juke box will eliminate this problem. Without the juke box how do you do it? I've been on the fence about getting CDS only because I have so much stuff I don't think my brain can handle one more thing.

I need this - I hate swapping out cartridges. I also have limited work space, so after swapping them out I'm careful to put each one away so that it's out of the way. With this I wouldn't have to do that. Okay, off to find one to order!
