Have you seen Dralion? In person?

It's coming to St. Louis so we are going to see it! I LOVE it when I watch it on DVD or Bravo. I was wondering, if you have seen it in person, how much is different from on TV? Are the clowns the same? What acts are still the same? What about the singers?

When will it be in St Louis? I'd like to see it. I've seen Mystere, La Nouba and O in person but not Dralion.

We saw Dralion last summer. It's wonderful!!
Can't compare for you though, I haven't seen it on TV.
I've found the TV and DVD versions, just aren't the same...too "small".

We're going to see "O" in Aug. and Alegria in Sept!! Can't wait....and then my bank account will need a rest

I never saw it on TV (I can stand the rapid camera changes they always use when filming Cirque shows), but I saw it live last summer in Dallas. It was the best travelling Cirque show I have seen (much better than Quedam and slightly better than Allegria) . The permenant shows I have seen (Mystere, La Nouba) are a little better, but Dralion was still darned good. It was worth every penny of the ticket price. You are going to have a great time!

It's going to be there for 3 weeks around labor day.

The clowns were 2 men, one dressed like a woman. The singers were a man and a woman, but the man looked like a woman with huge eyes and long dark hair. He has a beautiful voice.

I saw it in March in New Orleans-- haven't seen it on TV. The characters you describe don't ring a bell (bad memory). I found it to be better than La Nouba and not as good as Alegria (but I saw the permanent Alegria in Biloxi, not the tour; plus it was the first Cirque show that I saw). Nevertheless, it's worth the money. I would try not to see a daytime show, though. I was disappointed with the crowd. To me, Cirque du Soleil is theatre. You dress up and behave properly. To this crowd, it was a circus where you wear jeans and eat popcorn.

If any Cirque fans will be at WDW in the coming months, Alegria will be in St Pete soon (check cirquedusoleil.com for dates). It's 1.5-2 hours from WDW. The music from Alegria is fabulous.

Oh yes, Sonya, I remember the clowns now. You might want to edit your post... you gave away the "surprise." I swear my friend had no idea, even said there was no way when I told her that I suspected it. :p

in Boston. It's a good show and the tent they have has AC so don't worry about being too hot.

I still prefer LaNouba but that's just me. I think for the money you can't beat any of their shows.
