Have any of you read this book by David Koenig? How is it? I was thinking about picking it up.

Thanks!:goodvibes

I read about 1/2 of it, but then got bored and never went back and finished it. Some interesting information, but it just didn't hold my attention.

some interesting info. not nearly as entertaining as the mouse tales books. it is biased and has an obvious agenda, often contradicting itself to make points.

I haven't heard about this book. What's it about?

Well, I actually came across it in Barnes & Nobles today & decided to give it a shot. Sat by the Charles River & got up to chaper 4 & I really like it so far!

Mr. & Mrs. Smith: It's basically a book about the history of WDW-takes you through the behind the scenes history, development, & business ventures. I was going to buy Mousetales but I thought it focused on DLR. I'm not as interested in DLR as I am in WDW & I wanted something just about WDW. He's a good writer and it's flowing so far!

It was recommended to me by another DISer sooo....I ordered it for myself (stored it) and put it under the Christmas tree last season. I really liked it.:thumbsup2

Wow. That sounds really cool. I'll have to add it to my wishlist.

My DH read it and really enjoyed it. I was going to read it too, but he was so entertained by parts of it, that he had to tell me about it, so I feel like I really did read myself.

I read the Realityland..True Life Adventures at Walt Disney World. I thought the majority of it was boring. There were a few interesting parts, but unfortunately not enough for me to give it a good recommendation.

I have to agree with some other posters, I tried to read the book as well but found it boring and I never finished it

Since this isn't really a trip planning thread, I'm going to move this over to the theme parks community board.

I thought Realityland was a great read. I thought it was informative about the History of the Parks but it wasn't overly biased either. Which sometimes bothers me in other books I read about Disney. Either thinking it's the devil or absolutely perfect. There were very few parts in Realityland that I thought the Author had an agenda either way. My favorite part of the book was reading about all the accidents at the Parks. It explains why some things are gone.

Thanks - I'm going to add this to my wishlist. Any other WDW books to recommend?

i read Realityland a while ago and really enjoyed it - very interesting!
