Have you put your flannel sheets on yet?

Seeing all these threads about people breaking down and putting on the heat to take the chill out of their homes...have you broken down and put the flannel sheets on yet?

I'm debating...

dont' need flannel sheets when we have a nice warm water bed to sleep on....GOTTA love that......In January it will be our 26th year on a water bed...BUT MAINE would be a good place to have them ...

We have not turned the heat on or put the flannels on yet. Trying to hold out on the heat as long as we can. Will prob put the sheets on first as well as have many blankets in the living room before we turn on the heat. It is going to cost too much this year :(

I just ordered a set of flannel sheets, I probably won't put them on for another month or so. I'm thinking this weekend I'll pull out my down comforter and put that on the bed with regular sheets and then in November put on the flannels.

Not yet, but maybe in another month, it has been warmer than normal here in NJ. :sunny:

Yep same with us! NOt on yet b ut thinking about it. Of course we are waiting for wood to come so we can start a fire. Hate to think of the heating bill this year!

I'm going to buy a set this year!! we have had the heat on the house in the am to take the chill off--

Yep!!! But my flannel sheets are never off the bed....well, except to change them. I keep them on all summer also. They really are great in the summer. They breath nicely and are perfect when the AC is on. I need to go out and buy another set though.

I have neither turned on the heat, nor do I use flannel sheets. I am at the age where I have many of my own "private summers", so heat isn't a problem!!!! ;)

I put the flannel sheets and the down comforter on the bed about 3 weeks ago when we had a few cold nights. Then, of course, we had a heat wave with temps over 80 degrees for a week or so. DH thought I'd lost my mind and I had to run and dig the cotton sheets back out again. We're back to flannel now, though.

last night :)
and the electric blankie

but DH has been working in the drizzly rain all day long - comes home with a chill the hot shower can't even kick -
so I did it forhim -
but it did feel good to heat up the bed - and have it all warm and cozy last night!

FUNNY thing is DH had pool league last night and came in late - decided to have a snack and watch tv - fell asleep on the coach - I went and woke him up at 1:30 and MADE him come to bed...
this am he was SO happy I did that he kept thanking me :)

Never quit using them over the summer. I sleep too lightly, and my DH moves around too much in his sleep--I've found that cotton sheets are pretty noisy unlike flannel. :rotfl: And since I've been having my own "private summers" as well (I love that term!), at least he's not freezing & complaining at night when I have the a/c turned down!

Same for us...we have 2 sets for each bed....Love the flannel!

We recently bougt sheets that are a silkier version of flannel I think sateen.

They're called Beech Sheets and I got them from Bed, Bath & Beyond.

They are so darn comfortable!! I feel like a queeen sleeping on them & they keep you pretty warm as well. Good for those who feel flannel are too warm but regular sheets too cold!

I don't have flannels but I have the Jersey Knit or "T-shirt" sheets which I just love...oh, goodness, they are so comfy!

Flannel sheets are the only thing I sleep on year round. :)

Holy cow. I can't wait until we finally get to turn the AC off. You guys are so lucky to be having cooler weather already.

I don't have any yet for my bed here at school. I think that'll be one of my birthday gifts though, so if that's the case, they'll go on about Veteran's Day weekend, since that's when we'll celebrate. I do have the jersey knits on my bed though, and I really like those. But I can't wait for flannels.

I refuse to pay $50 for a set of flannel sheets...went to TJMaxx and got a Queen set of Wamsutta (or whatever) flannel sheets for $19.99

score!

so if you're cost conscience being in school...check out TJmaxx/marshalls for more affordable sheets
