Have you noticed this?

I have noticed a lot of threads on the DIS recently from wives who are upset about how their husband is screwing up, or how husbands in general screw up. Funny, but I cant think of a single thread by a husband about how his wife screws up or how wives in general screw up. Wives are no less prone to screwing up than husbands, but you rarely see guys posting about it here. On the other hand, hardly a day goes by that some wife does not complain about her husband here.

If I have a complaint about my Dh - I talk to him straight about it....

I would be uncomfortable posting it in a public forum...but that is just me.

Actually, none of my male friends ever complain about their wives to me. Really. 0. My female friends however are another story.

first off my husband doesn't even use the computer - he complains about me to me. Secondly, I - specifically, am an equal opportunity complainer - I complain about my husband, friends, mil, sil, kids, mother, dogs, and of course 'kitty from He!!'

As a man and after being married for several years I accepted the basic principle that "men are pigs" This refers to many thinks not just that they can be sloppy. After accepting that as the fundementally accepted norm of the universe I merely worked at disproving the theroy to my wife. This means not forgetting birthdays, anniverseries, christmas etc. and working to being caring, loving and on occasion going to see chick flicks with her. In return she encourages me to go hunting, fishing, golfing and the things I like to do. I guess the plan is working because 22 years later we are still married and going strong.

I think women in general are just more vocal. We express ourselves more in many areas. The fact that you notice us complain about hubbies just shows that you are intune to us women! Thanks!
