Have you never ever had a great server at Prime Time?

I have to say..all the times we've eaten at Prime Time, we've never had a really great server...never. The hype is always been what we've read about, not what we've experienced ourselves.

You think that since fun is what Prime Time is marketing that they would do a better job of making sure that all their waitstaff is up to the performance!!

What about your experience??

Every time I've been, the service has been great. The best server we had was a guy named Vinny with an awesome Brooklyn accent - he was always poking fun at somebody at our table, or yelling at my mom to clean her plate. He made the experience that much better (because I never thought the food at Primetime was THAT good) and even took pictures with all of us when we were finished.

Maybe you've gotten the new guys whenever you've visited? I promise there ARE great Primetime servers out there - the next time you go, if Vinny's still there, you should put in a request for his section, haha :)

This last time sucked big time. It was always fun before but our server this time never joked with anyone and never refilled our drinks.
We won't be going back for awhile because of this.

We've had a couple of servers over the years who weren't great. Most were above average. About 12 years ago, we had a fantastic server.

We've been five times that I remember and we've always had good service, but our first trip was the best. Our server was Auntie Clair. My husband loved her so much that he still asks about her when we eat their and she usually comes by the table and says hello. The last couple of times she remembered us. Its almost like visiting an old friend now

We also had auntie claire.....if we could be promised we would have her we would go back in a heartbeat...
We had a guy once who was horrid, maybe we had the same as the above poster. Since we can't be promised auntie claire we don't go anymore, it seemed like there are more servers that didn't care...you got your food and that was it

Maybe we are in the minority - but we like the food. Even with a non-participating server (which we've had, but they were good servers so we considered it a good expirience) we feel that Primetime is worth it for the food.

We've always had great servers that were a lot of fun and we love the food!

Our first time there was the best server we have ever had...but I can honestly say that I think we only had 1 "cousin" that wasn't very good. She was young and I think she was new, and somewhat "afraid" to play the part to it's full potential. But the people at the table next to us were from Japan and were filming for a commerical...and that made it really neat!

We have never really had someone "play" the part of aunt or cousin or whatever. I always figured it was because it was just my four kids and I.

Whenever I have ate here and watched other servers or even our own, it seemed like the ones "playing" the part were serving larger families or ones with a lot of adults.

We still like to eat here even if the servers don't joke around with us. Mainly because my kids think it's cool to have the TVs everywhere, and we like the food.

We've had good service all 3 times we've eaten at 50's. Drinks were refilled, the orders were correct, we didn't have to look for the server, etc. Two of the three were into their role, and one was only about half, but that's ok with us. All 3 were entertaining, just some more than others. As far as meal service, it was great.

We have been a few times. The first time was back in 1999. We had a server who did a fantastic Jerry Lewis impersonation. I have never laughed so much. We had the whole place going. Even "mama" got into it.

We returned 2001 and were disappointed. The menu had changed and the server just basically took our order and brought us food. We have not been back since.

We were there in December and had a great server. "Uncle Herman did a great job!" It was our first time at the Prime time and we had great food and great service. I would definitely do it again.

First time I was there, the food was good and teh service was good, however, the waitress didn't "play" with me. I blame it on me being there alone and the other tables being large/ loud groups, getting all the attention.
In October, my mom and I had a great server, great food, and the server was really into her role.

She gave us homework (14 Disney movies of which the title is just 1 word) and was always yelling at my mom to get her elbows off the table. It was hilarious!

Our aunt was awful---almost as bad as the food. She didn't want to bring DS two drinks, which I had told him he could order. I even told her he could have them both and she was still arguing with him about it. DH finally had to get involved and tell her to bring him the two drinks just as he had requested. She kept saying but it will cost you extra. I told her three times I DON'T CARE!!! I have the money to pay the extra--really!!! Oh, well, looking for new places to try isn't a bad thing!;)

We went there in dec. based on the reviews here on the boards. Well all of us hated it. Our server was aunt betty. She was terrible. Very inattentive as our table was around the corner and out of her view. I could put up with staring at a wall for my view but I couldnt eat my food as we were waiting for Aunt Betty to ever show up for a drink refill. My food was cold by the time Aunt Betty resurfaced with our drink refills. Needless to say her tip reflected her service. We all cracked up too when the people next to us asked us to borrow our ketchup as their server also just seemed to forget about them. Needless to say we wont be back. I am not even getting into the antics. We didnt expect any. We were just told to set the table and keep our elbows off the table. That was it.

We have only been there one time and it was really fun. Our server was very nice and joked around and when I did not want my veggies tried to feed them to me or no dessert. He also had the table next to us and was great with them. All the tables around us with other servers were having a great time also. My Dh did not like the food but thought it was fun.

We really enjoyed the 50's Diner. Auntie Elaine was a hoot! She made the experience a lot of fun. The food was good too- stuffed green pepper, club sandwich(choice of ham and/or turkey), fried chicken, didn't have room for dessert.

We had Cousin Mikey and he was OUTSTANDING!! Not only did he get tipped well above the DDP included amount, we wrote him a note telling him that we loved him! Fantastic server, amazing and outstanding.

The food absolutely sucked. Nobody liked their meals very much and my steak was more like Jerky than it was like steak. It was also flavorless.

Would we go back? Sure we'd probably go back for lunch sometime and just order sandwiches. We'd be going just for the service and the antics.

Ask for Uncle Charlie! :thumbsup2

We've seen him a few times. He's a career CM. Late 30's. Very funny.

One time, it had been about 9 months since we had been to WDW. We couldn't be seated in his section. Our party was too large. He spotted us. You would not believe that scene! :scared1: :thumbsup2 (Now my wife thinks the hostess tipped him off. But, I think he actually remembered us. He even knew the month that we were last there.)

Of course, we had to eat at Prime Time a second time that trip. :rotfl:
