Have you made the world a better place today?

O.k., this idea is totally pretentious…but why not! What small (or big) thing have you done today to make someone else's life just a little bit better? Did you hold a door open for someone? Did you cook dinner for a friend? Did you tell a co-worker they looked nice? It is not about bragging, it is about inspiring. If others see all the little things you can do for someone else, they might do them. Kind of like pay it forward.

I held the door open for a stranger, but I am going to be on the look out for another opportunity. No one says I am limited to one small deed a day. :)

Apparently going by the outpouring of responses no one has done anything, which really does not surprise me at all. That is good of you to be interested in doing something nice for others, even if it is of small measure. If everyone cared enough to do the same then this world would not be so selfish, vain and greedy.

It is possible people have done things and forgotten them or feel this is too much like bragging.

It is early, and I have not done anything nice yet. But the day is filled with possibilities. Thank you for your reply, Gisele. May you received ten fold what you put out into the universe.

I agree, but then what stops a person from sharing a nice story of good deeds that others have done? That way no one can be accused of as you say bragging or being self serving some how.

Thank you and like wise for you as well :)

I agree, it's nice to pay it forward once in a while! I try to do 3 nice things a day because no matter how small the act it all adds up.

Here are some things that I have done throughout this week-
  • Picked my coworker up from the garage (saving her husband the trip!)
  • Watched my nephews so that my sister could go to the doctor's
  • Sent a motivational quote to my family

I've received many thank you's from friends, family and coworkers over the years and spreading kindness is something that I want to teach my kids.:goodvibes
