I took a new path, sort of, to loose weight. The idea have been mentioned for decades but seems to receive little mention as a weight loss idea. What I did was to use light therapy. The idea with this is that many gain weight in the winter time. Some believe this winter weight gain is due to a lack of sunlight. A lack of sunlight signals to the brain to store away fat for the coming months. So what I did was to use bright light therapy. Basically I have a SAD light I sit in front of during breakfast. I live in Florida too, and began exercising outside, instead of being indoors, and didn't wear sunglasses.
I also did a few other ideas, such as stop eating snacks after lunch. I also stopped eating dairy products and beef. Some write that these two foods can be fattening for some. I can't say which idea helped most.
