Cooking Have you heard of African Squash?

Hi all! I'm traveling on business and going out for nice dinners. Happy Happy!

Twice now I've seen African Squash Soup on menus. My coworker had it as an appetizer one night. It was nice -- a pretty yellow color and the soup flavor was nice. But this is the first time I have heard of African Squash.

Have you heard of it?

I believe that the variety of squash is Calabaza, although I know that many restaurants may interchange Butternut very easily.
