Sadly, I think I've used most of mine up. When my oldest daughter was 18 months old we were on Bozos Circus. We ended up being in the front row, right in the center, so we got a lot of camera time. Bozo even talked to us several times. We were also featured prominantly during the Grand March.

Also, I was the state spelling champion in 3rd grade and I was shown on TV for all of 5 seconds.

Oh yes, I forgot this one! Two years ago my picture was in the paper for being one of the first customers at the grand opening of a new grocery store. They showed all of the contents of my cart spread out on the conveyor built. All my neighbors were nosy and teased me about what I had bought. My hair was a mess and my coat was buttoned wrong (I must have been in a hurry!). It was a TERRIBLE picture.

So, have you had your 15 minutes yet?

The only thing I can think of off-hand is I was on a Builders Square commercial for their grand opening...I think it was back in 1985. I was soooo nervous...

My oldest DS and I were featured in one of our local papers back during the time of the Gulf War. DH was shipped out on 8/7 and our DS was born 8/14. They did a story on us, then the photographer followed us to Norfolk to see DH return from the war (and meet his son for the first time). They had sent a gazillion copies of the paper overseas, so alot of the guys knew who I was from the article! :teeth:

About twenty years ago I had about 30 seconds on the evening news talking about the nature trail construction I coordinated at my son's little Montessori school.

I still have 14.5 minutes of fame left :teeth:

I had some show girls drag me on stage in Vegas! Does that count?

I attended a taping of the MTV's "live" New Years Eve countdown in early Dec 1991. Pauley Shore (remember him) was the host and I was caught on film dancing with him. Too funny! Of course at the time I thought I was hot stuff.

Well, not 15 minutes, but maybe 15 seconds. I happened to get on Good Morning America a few years ago, they were at my workplace (Lands' End) and I was the lucky one that was shown on the air!!!

I was on tv and in the newspaper when I was younger but I think my true moment of fame came yesterday when my picture was the subject of the "Caption This" thread. LOL :)

Not yet...;) ;)

P.Michelle, those pics at The Big Chicken were hilarious!!! The only problem is that Colonel Sanders looked a little stiff. ;) ;) BTW, you looked great!

I've been on the local news 2 Christmases in a row. They interviewed me to talk about what I was buying and who I was buying it for. Not many Christmas surprises those years.;) I was also on the news another Christmas because I let my mom talk me into taking my dd to hear Alabama sing Christmas songs to the kids (and some of their own songs). This was at their fan club in Ft. Payne, AL. I was only shown about 5-6 seconds that time though, and I didn't have to talk.:teeth: I've been in the local paper a time or 2, too. Mostly when I was younger though.

Well, for a while, I had a duck named after me somewhere in Hawaii at one of those wildlife trick shows -- the duck was supposed to go around a path and slide down a slide, but (s)he didn't want to slide and I (I forget if it was 1st grade or 3rd grade) was sitting up front with my parents and was waving the duck on and it saw me and finished its trick, so they named the duck after me. :teeth:

Then I was on the news in Midland Odessa for a science conference for teachers when I was helping to demonstrate how to make a home-made comet.

LOL, thanks Rita! :)

I just thought of this too, a couple of years ago when I had my website up on AOL it was featured as one of the top 10 websites on Hometown AOL for a month. :)

I think I used my time....

My dad always dreamed of going to New York to celebrate the New Year and see Guy Lombardo. The last year he was alive, I think 1975 turning into 1976, my parents took us to New York and we stayed at the Waldorf hotel. The original plan was my younger brother and I were to stay in the hotel room -- I was 15 at the time. But my Mom wasn't comfortable leaving us alone and wouldn't go unless we went with. I suspect that my dad paid someone very dearly in order to include us in the New Years Eve party.

New Years Eve my family is here in the Chicago area watching TV to catch a glimpse of either my Mom or Dad and who do they see but me.....dancing away on tv (must have been with my Mom, I don't know who else I might have dance with). My Aunts told me I was on TV for the longest time -- a couple of minutes at least. I never had a clue and I think that's why they kept the camera on me. It's a fond memory.

I had 15 seconds of fame. I am on the Grand Floridian special on the Travel Channel. I also had my leg shown on the WDW Easter parade one year. Somehow the camera seems to catch me when Im sitting on Main St USA, LOL!

Hmm... possibly.

When I was a freshman in high school, I used to write.. Didn't we all?

Anyway, my sister finds one, writes it down, and enters me in a school wide contest without me knowing.

Christmas time rolls arounds, and I get this Literary calendar. Whats this I think? And I flip to July, and there is my poem, with someone else illustrating it..

Of course this is the centerfold... And you all know what song was popular back in the early 80's... Centerfold by J. Giels Band!

Then other things of mine appeared in literary magazines which were then distributed to local colleges... I had one of my professors say... "I think I have heard of you"!

My son and I were at a Zany Brainy opening and we were on live.
I was at a live broadcast radio show (Morning Zoo-WMMR) back in the late 80s. They were broadcasting live from Atlantic City.. my BF and I went. They had a trivia question, I answered it right, and got a movie/book.

I was a DJ at a college radio station.
