Have you had cleanliness issues at VWL or BWV's?

I'm so glad you asked! We've stayed in OKW and VWL plus many WDW resorts and we have always contended that VWL has the best mousekeeping in the business. I, too, look in odd places to satisfy my "cleanliness quotient". Being on the road about a hundred nights a year does that to you. We have to give kudos to the staff at VWL.

I own and have stayed at both BWV and VWL- Never have had an issue- Not saying I never will, but so far so good!

I'm the minority, there's a cloud of dirt/leftover food and garbage hanging over my head. Each time I've stayed at the BWV, I've had leftover food in the room. This past visit, was 'blessed' with used tampons, etc in the overflowing bathroom garbage can. I've also had a room where the bathroom was never cleaned and dirty towels all over!! That stay also had the kitchen garbage can full of garbage.
I've stayed at the BCV (once) and no problems. I don't complain about the 'knicks' in furniture, etc. I read all these posts about folks who get these clean rooms, and have decided it me!!!! I'm going in October, this is a biggie trip for us-husband, bro-in-law and sis all turning 60 and this is our trip together (Food and Wine trip too) to celebrate everyone's birthdays. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Oh Debbie, I remember reading about your last stay and being horrified for you about the "gifts" in the bathroom. Coming from Seattle too, I know what the trip is like and how thoroughly exhausted you are from that flight, and how dissapointing it must be upon arrival to see all that. (Not that it wouldn't be dissapointing for anyone!) I'm glad you're giving it another shot and I'll have my fingers crossed for you!

To the OP, I have stayed in two resorts so far, VWL and SSR - both were clean and with no defects that I could discern.

YOU WILL HAVE NONE OF THE BWV PROBLEMS.
LONG CORRIDORS,SCARY CLOWN NOR DIRTY ROOMS TOO CLOSE TO MGMAND EPCOT OVERPOWERING VIEWS OF DOLPHIN AND SWAN HOTELS,NOISEY FIREWORKS FROM EPCOT AND THAT EXTREMELY LOUD NOISE FROM MGM'S FANTASMIC, THOSE NOISEY DUELING PIANOS AND CRAZY DRUNKS FROM ESPN
DON'T BE LIKE US AND JUST HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IT FOR THE NEXT 30+ YEARS

We just came back last night from BWV. The room was very clean. We did not have one problem. We own at SSR but the BW is one of our favorite spots!!

We are just back from BWV and we loved it.
However, when we arraive my son went into the bathroom and came out again very quickly as the toilet was full of something not very nice at all!. I tried to flush it but it wasn't moving.

Housekeeping did come and clean it but it took a hour for them to arrive and i couldn't work out how housekeeping had missed it when they had cleaned the room?!
apart from that all was good.

I am BWV right now, and have lost track of how many times I have stayed here. Our 2br is in excellent condition and very clean, and I have had good luck throughout the years here and at all of the DVC resorts.

Personally, I have never had a cleanliness issue at any WDW resort in many stays over many years.

We have not had any problems at Disney with our rooms, except arriving late at CSR and being assigned a smoking room. Let me tell you I will never except a smoking room again.

We spent 9 days in a BWV studio in May. Not only was the room very clean but the mousekeepers were absolutely wonderful!
