The CVS's where DH and I got our shots did not ask for ID. When we signed up we put in our health insurance info. Plus CVS already has it as we get our flu shots there too. They did ask our names and date of birth when checking in and just before getting the vaccine. It was busy but not overwhelmingly so. It moved fairly quickly. This is in MA.

Got my first Pfizer today, qualified as a smoker under Louisiana guidelines. Mass drive-through vaccination site run by the huge local hospital group. I have no idea how many they were doing per hour, but definitely a lot. Eight tents, each one churning cars through fast. First checkpoint, just showed the QR code. Second checkpoint they scanned it and gave me the vaccine card. Waited behind two cars for the actual shot. My appointment was at 12:35, arrived at 12:14, vaccinated at 12:24, free to go at 12:39. Easy peasy.

No major side effects so far. Bit of arm soreness, but moving it around has been keeping it to a minimum. Kinda tired and run-down feeling, mild on and off headache, and going back and forth between warm and chilly. I haven't taken anything, but I might take Advil later just to make sure the headache doesn't worsen (I'm prone to headaches anyway). So happy to have the first shot done!

I registered with my local Meijer here in SE Michigan, and got a text on Friday inviting me to schedule my first Pfizer shot! So I'm scheduled for Tuesday morning at 10:00!

Hubby and I both got our Johnson and Johnson shots yesterday. We did have to show our ID, and hubby (who is one year under the current age category) had to be approved as vulnerable - he had Type 1 diabetes and had his insulin with him ready to show, but they took his word for it.

He ran a fever overnight, and has had headaches and body aches and felt tired all day today. I've had an all day migraine.

I was able to score an appointment for 1st shot for next week for Marie's uncle whom we are care givers for. He is almost 89, congestive heart failure, dementia. He survived COVID back in early January. Cardiologist wants him to get his shots ASAP.

Yes I actually just did yesterday and I’m getting a Pfizer shot tomorrow! I have w-2s and paystubs to bring in case they need proof but I have a feeling they aren’t even going to check. It didn’t say anywhere to bring proof of teaching. Dh is getting his Tuesday after getting the form signed by his doctor

DH & I were able to get appointments for tomorrow morning at one of the mass vacination sites in South Florida. We're supposed to be getting Pfizer. I'm really shocked that I qualify this soon & that we were able to get an appointment for the first day we qualify. I hope this doesn't mean a lot of Floridians are choosing to not get the vaccine.

Okaloosa County FL, just got my first Pfizer shot Friday DW has already had both her Moderna shots.

Got second dose of Pfizer about 3 hours ago.....so far so good.....well see what night brings.

We got it at a drive though at a stadium. Very well run by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. We got there a bit early and were out before our actual assigned time.

I am finally eligible and get my first shot this Wednesday. Question for those of you who have had the shot . . .

I assume most people are requesting the shot in their non dominant arm so any soreness doesn’t affect your ability to write or do other things. However, I have different dominant hands for different tasks. For example, I write left handed only, use scissors right handed only, but I open jars using either. How sore should I expect to be and do any of you have a recommendation which arm I should get the shot in? I am considering the left arm even though I write left handed.

I got mine both times in my non dominant arm.....because I was in the car and that was easiest to do.
The first one hurt less than a flu shot.
We'll see tomorrow about the second. Just got it this morning and so far it doesn't hurt at all

Nope. And my county announced they won't be getting any additional vaccines until April. They are still working to get enough vaccine for the first group that opened up in DECEMBER. They opened up the second group on Monday, still over 65 or under 65 with specific health conditions. I'm Type 2 diabetic, which was in the second group, but they added the condition that your A1C had to be higher than 7.5. 6.5 and up is considered Type 2 diabetic, so not sure where they came up with the higher number.
