Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

24 hr update: Woke up around 11:30pm with chills. Put another blanket on the bed, put on a sweatshirt, and big fluffy socks to try and get warm. Woke up again around 3am because I was sweaty, lol. (No fever) Took the extra blanket off, along with the socks and sweatshirt. This morning, only my arm is sore. So hopefully that will be all and I will be done with symtoms.

Got our second Pfizer shot a couple of hours ago at the Orange County (FL) convention center. Total time from arriving to leaving was about 45 minutes. Excellent organization. Never felt the needle.

Just got my first shot today (Pfizer). I left my school at 10:25, parked at the community center, waited in a short line, checked in at 10:45 (my appointment time) and got the shot 10 minutes later. My observation period ended at 11:10. I signed up to schedule my second shot. Then I went back to school. Easy peasy.

I just got the email from the MN Dept of Education. I'll be receiving my first vaccine dose next Wednesday February 17th. My second dose is scheduled for Wednesday March 10th. I wasn't expecting to get it so soon, but I'm thrilled that I'll be fully vaccinated before we go back to in-person learning in March.

I had first Moderna on January 20, and looking forward to getting next shot next week. Had mild sore arm at injection site after the first shot for a day.

DH had his first on January 21, and had the sore arm for a bit longer.

After a lot of back and forth internally, I went and got my second moderna vaccine today at 9 am. I told the nurse that I got pretty sick after the first one and she said “you must’ve had covid.” I told her yes. She said get ready to be sick again.

My coworker who also had covid and was really sick after her first shot got her second shot last week. She said it lasted 24 hours and was less than after the first shot.

I hope it’s not that bad for me. I’ll post an update later.

So sorry to hear. My 93 year old dad had Covid in Nov but only had a mild case, he got the shot and really didn't have bad symptoms. Maybe he's just lucky or maybe bc he only had Covid mild to begin with? I don't know. Thanks for keeping us updated and sharing your experience. Not sure I missed but what shot did you get, dad got the Moderna.

My dad is 74 and had a mild case of Covid. He had his 1st shot a week ago today (Pfizer) and did fine with it with just a little arm pain (or at least that's what they've told us but knowing my mom it's true because she will tell you like it is) Still trying to get her an appointment...

Update: Now about 21 hours post-injection. Arm is still sore at the injection site. No other apparent side effects.

I’m feeling good. Had the first shot Tuesday at 9 am. Fever, chills, body aches that stopped 24 hours after. I still have a pretty sore arm. Last night I had more night sweats. Had the same thing for 4 days after the first shot. Hoping I don’t have them tonight.
